If I had to say, it's gentle? I trusted the brand and bought the toner, but something didn't agree with my skin. Recently, another brand's sunscreen has been controversial for false advertising, so I looked into this brand too. Turns out they had an SPF false labeling issue back in 2021. While other companies apologized and offered refunds, this one just discontinued the product without any explanation. That's even worse... The toner feels different from before it became popular, and now it has a scent. The product page claims it's because the ingredients have improved, but given their history of deception, I can't take that at face value. As someone with super sensitive skin, I'm always cautious about changes in skincare products. The fact that this brand silently discontinued a product with labeling issues, rather than addressing it openly, is concerning. It makes me question the transparency of their ingredient improvements and whether they truly prioritize their customers' skin health. For those of us dealing with blemishes or combination dehydrated skin, finding a trustworthy brand is crucial for maintaining our complexion and avoiding irritation. - he*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRednessRecommendedJun 25, 2025
I've been using The Lab's entire hyaluronic line, so I decided to buy their sunscreen too. It feels like an essence, providing hydration without any heaviness. While it doesn't irritate my skin, it does sting my eyes a bit. Other than that, I love everything about it! - mo********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 26, 2025
As someone with sensitive skin, I had been exclusively using mineral sunscreens, but they just didn't play well with my foundation. Then, by chance, a friend introduced me to The Lab by Blanc Doux sunscreen. It was a game-changer! I realized that my whiteheads might have been caused by the mineral sunscreen ingredients. After switching to this, not only did the whiteheads disappear, but it also works beautifully with my foundation. It's become my skin's savior in so many ways, and I've been recommending it left and right. Everyone who's tried it agrees - it's fantastic! There's nothing really bad to say. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the bottle is on the smaller side, so you need to repurchase it more frequently. - ja*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRednessRecommendedMay 10, 2025
This sunscreen is so gentle it can be said to provide both skin soothing and UV protection simultaneously. It's one of the few sunscreens I could use with confidence even when dealing with blemishes. It applies smoothly without feeling overly rich, making it suitable for use even in summer. Despite being a cream type, it spreads thinly and feels lightweight on the skin. There's a slight whitening effect, so you need to be careful with the amount used if applying before makeup. It's great for frequent reapplication as it layers well with minimal pilling. - rk******Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 16, 2025
I was so satisfied with how this absorbs into the skin, feeling moisturizing yet not sticky at all. When applied before makeup, it helps the base makeup adhere better and creates a beautiful skin finish, making it a perfect primer substitute. The gentle ingredients allowed me to use it even on sensitive days without any issues. I'm already on my 4th repurchase - it's truly my holy grail! However, it's slightly disappointing that there's almost no brightening or evening skin tone effect, and the small size means it runs out quickly. You might feel like there's not enough product for daily generous application. Still, the texture is so good that I keep reaching for this sunscreen. - wi*********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedApr 3, 2025
The texture feels incredibly hydrating without any oiliness. I think it would work well for all skin types! There's not really anything to complain about! If I had to nitpick, I'd say the amount you get is a bit on the small side. - ho********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 17, 2025
For those with oily skin who often use mineral sunscreens, this product stands out as an organic sunscreen with a satisfying formula. It's especially convenient as it's easy to wash off. I honestly can't think of any drawbacks to this product. It's great for people with oily skin to use when applying makeup. - gp*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 15, 2025
As someone with super sensitive skin, I find this sunscreen incredibly gentle and hydrating. Unlike many other sunscreens that can cause a burning sensation, this one doesn't irritate my skin at all. There's not really anything bad to say, except that the quantity is a bit small. Since it has an essence-like texture, I tend to use it up quickly. - pa*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 14, 2025
It's just perfect for those who dislike greasy or white cast-leaving products I'm not sure if it's my skin, but when I apply this and wear a mask, it leaves white residue - co********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedJan 11, 2025
This essence-based sunscreen truly lives up to its name. It's hydrating, non-irritating, and leaves no white cast. My cheeks used to get painfully dry in winter, making makeup application impossible. But surprisingly, with this product, I can now wear makeup comfortably. Sometimes I worry if the high moisture content affects its sun protection efficacy. Also, if I don't set it with powder, I feel like my hair and other things tend to stick to my face! I find that when I use this together with La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5, both the hydration and longevity seem to improve.
