It applies smoothly and leaves my lips feeling moisturized and soft.
ConsIt seems to take a little time to be fully absorbed.

ConsHowever, if you use it too often or in large amounts, it doesn't get absorbed well and leaves a white residue.

It's amazing! This is a cream that I've been carrying around and applying religiously every winter when my lips get incredibly dry.
ConsI'm not sure how it would work for those with extremely dry lips, but in my case, if I apply too much, it doesn't absorb well and the white color of the lip cream just stays there, which is really funny. Haha.

Cons🤔Using too much can cause a yogurt-like effect. It doesn't have extremely high absorption, so it may be more suitable as a night care product rather than a daily lip balm
Tip🍯Applying it before bed is the best way to use it

ConsIt seems to be absorbed a bit slowly, and the price is a bit high compared to the volume.

The company is the same, Bayer. 💙 Usage Experience Even if your lips are in terrible condition, it doesn't sting at all. Instead, it's soothing. It applies lightly, and once absorbed, your lips feel soft and supple. This is what it feels like when your skin barrier is truly strengthened. It has minimal shine, so it's great for men to use as well. 💙 Ingredients & Fragrance Thanks to the dexpanthenol, it doesn't sting even when applied to chapped lips. It has a slight pharmaceutical-like fragrance, but it's not unpleasant and doesn't bother me. 💙 Texture It's not a sticky 'balm' texture, but a true 'cream' that applies like a really rich facial cream. 💙 Packaging & Volume The tube packaging is great for hygienic use. The 7.5ml volume is a decent amount in my opinion.
Cons🖤 Absorption If you apply too much, it doesn't absorb well and can leave a white cast on your lips. Check in the mirror! 🖤 Ingredients I can't say the ingredients are amazing (but I've never had any breakouts from using it). 🖤 Usage Experience If you prefer a super glossy, hydrating lip balm, this product may not be for you.
TipWith minimal shine, this is a great recommendation for men. If you apply too much, it can leave a white cast on your lips.

I'm on my second one now, and it's become an essential for me. I developed cheilitis due to stress, so I took medication and tried the doctor-prescribed ointment, but I couldn't use the steroid-based one for too long. Then I saw the reviews and bought it from the pharmacy, and my cheilitis is completely gone now! It's amazing... The ointment may not be a cure-all for cheilitis, but if you have sensitive lips like me, I really recommend giving it a try and finding your own solution! The only downside is that I seem to go through it quite quickly - about one a month.
ConsWhen you apply it, it doesn't absorb into the lips like a lotion, but rather sits on top of the lips. However, it does become more moisturizing over time, so I'm still satisfied with it.
TipI'd recommend applying it at night!

After applying this and absorbing it, using a lip balm makes it super soft and smooth..
ConsThe absorption is a bit slow, and you need to use it consistently to see the effects. Plus, it feels a bit strange when it touches your mouth, so I only use it before bed.

I diligently applied it and stocked up on it, even though there were no discounts.😂 From around the end of summer, my lips were continuously inflamed and oozing for over 4 months. Using Acyclovir ointment and lip balms only made the oozing worse, but after switching to Bicontrol, the oozing healed quickly and didn't recur!! For mild redness and swelling, I just use Bicontrol, and on severe days, I apply Acyclovir inside and Bicontrol on the lips. I've tried switching to other popular lip masks a few times, but my lips would start oozing again within a day, so I keep coming back to Bicontrol... I guess I'm stuck with it now...😭 🤍 Fragrance-free, lightweight lip balm formula 🤍 Good moisturizing power - Other lip masks wouldn't keep my lips moisturized overnight, so I'd wake up with flaky, cracked lips, but this cream keeps my lips feeling soft and supple even in the morning 🤍 Hygienic tube packaging 🤍 Not heavy or sticky, easy to apply and doesn't feel suffocating ✨ Truly the best for cold sores ✨
ConsThe formula doesn't absorb well and just sits on the surface like a mask, so if you apply a lot and move your lips, it gets smeared onto your teeth. It doesn't have a particular taste, which is fine I guess..? It's in a squeeze tube, but the packaging is not very flexible, so it's inconvenient.😢 Even though there's a lot left inside, it's really hard to squeeze out unless you cut it open... And since it's on the pricier side, it feels like a waste to leave any behind. I wish the packaging was more user-friendly for easier squeezing.
TipWhen your lips are oozing or you're starting to get a cold sore, be sure to use Bicontrol right away to treat it quickly. If it gets really bad, nothing else seems to help, and other products just make it worse. I think Bicontrol is better suited as a treatment ointment for problem lips, rather than a daily lip balm for healthy lips. It provides good moisture and care when your lips need it.👍🏻

In fact, I purchased this product because my lips were cracked and extremely painful, as if I had cheilitis. This is the most notable feature and key characteristic of this product. (My self-diagnosis was cheilitis, but the dermatologist said it was contact dermatitis!) The area around my mouth keeps cracking and feels hot, and even the highly moisturizing Vaseline Jelly that I usually rely on wasn't effective. Since I couldn't immediately see a dermatologist, I bought this lip balm, which is said to be good for cheilitis. My skin was extremely dry, painful, and itchy, but when I applied it, the itching sensation did subside a bit. It doesn't absorb very well and leaves a coating on the lips. Although it didn't treat the condition since it's not a medication, it did have a slight soothing effect when my skin was extremely itchy and stinging.
Cons⭐️Price Compared to other products like Caudalie and Burt's Bees, this is a bit more expensive. However, when my lips were extremely painful, the performance seemed worth the slightly higher price. ⭐️Moisturizing Power This doesn't seem to be a highly absorbing, deeply moisturizing product. I chose it as a nighttime product for my very dry lips, but it often just sat on the surface without absorbing well. ⭐️Long-term Effectiveness When my lips were in the worst condition, I did feel some relief. But once the situation improved a bit, applying this didn't provide much noticeable effect. Vaseline ended up being more effective for me in the long run.
Tip🌸When your lips are in severe pain, I recommend first applying a hydrocortisone lip cream, and then using the Vaseline once the condition has improved a bit. 🌸The symptoms of contact dermatitis and cheilitis are similar, so I suggest visiting a dermatologist. They can prescribe a mild steroid ointment that should significantly improve the symptoms. Don't be too afraid of steroids - if you're in a lot of pain, I really recommend seeing a dermatologist. 🌸If you have contact dermatitis, the culprit could be your toothpaste. Switching to a children's toothpaste and taking medication helped improve my condition a bit. 🌸Stress and dry environments can further worsen lip issues, so I recommend drinking lots of water and using a humidifier (or even just a damp towel if a humidifier isn't possible). 🌸My lips and skin were both in bad shape, so I cut back on using cotton pads and changed my basic skincare products.
