Pros
I bought Bicontrol based on the good reviews, as my lips were in really bad shape. I diligently applied it and stocked up on it, even though there were no discounts.😂 From around the end of summer, my lips were continuously inflamed and oozing for over 4 months. Using Acyclovir ointment and lip balms only made the oozing worse, but after switching to Bicontrol, the oozing healed quickly and didn't recur!! For mild redness and swelling, I just use Bicontrol, and on severe days, I apply Acyclovir inside and Bicontrol on the lips. I've tried switching to other popular lip masks a few times, but my lips would start oozing again within a day, so I keep coming back to Bicontrol... I guess I'm stuck with it now...😭 🤍 Fragrance-free, lightweight lip balm formula 🤍 Good moisturizing power - Other lip masks wouldn't keep my lips moisturized overnight, so I'd wake up with flaky, cracked lips, but this cream keeps my lips feeling soft and supple even in the morning 🤍 Hygienic tube packaging 🤍 Not heavy or sticky, easy to apply and doesn't feel suffocating ✨ Truly the best for cold sores ✨

The formula doesn't absorb well and just sits on the surface like a mask, so if you apply a lot and move your lips, it gets smeared onto your teeth. It doesn't have a particular taste, which is fine I guess..? It's in a squeeze tube, but the packaging is not very flexible, so it's inconvenient.😢 Even though there's a lot left inside, it's really hard to squeeze out unless you cut it open... And since it's on the pricier side, it feels like a waste to leave any behind. I wish the packaging was more user-friendly for easier squeezing.

When your lips are oozing or you're starting to get a cold sore, be sure to use Bicontrol right away to treat it quickly. If it gets really bad, nothing else seems to help, and other products just make it worse. I think Bicontrol is better suited as a treatment ointment for problem lips, rather than a daily lip balm for healthy lips. It provides good moisture and care when your lips need it.👍🏻

I was looking for a good lip balm for cheilitis, and I ended up using this one, and it has really helped, so I've settled on this lip balm.

The texture is similar to a facial cream. Perhaps due to this texture, it tends to sit on top of the lips. The moisturizing power is also average, and it doesn't do a great job of exfoliating the lips.
Cons
Stick-type lip balms can be applied quickly and easily, but this one tends to sit on top of the lips if you just swipe it on directly. So you have to scoop some out with your finger and then apply it. As someone who reapplies lip balm frequently, I found this quite unsatisfactory.

I bought it because they said it's good for chapped lips. But when I actually applied it, I'm not sure if it's that great.

This seems to be the best for calming down peeling. I really open up regardless of the season, and with most lip balms, you have to apply them frequently to keep your lips in good condition, but this one really shows the effects after just a few applications. It doesn't get greasy or sticky at all - it's a true cream type. It's much better than those expensive ones over 10,000 won!!! Those who always have peeling lips should definitely get this.

This was a product I used very well. My lips were in terrible condition due to chronic cheilitis and contact dermatitis, with my lips always cracked and my lips swollen and scabbed. When I started using this product, my condition improved a lot. So whenever I see signs of my lips getting worse, I always apply it. If I apply it consistently for 3-4 days, it calms down the irritation!
