Generally, transparent soap-based products are better for oily skin, while opaque ones are better for dry skin. Since this has a transparent base, it's particularly suitable for those with oily complexions.

I didn't notice any significant drawbacks. The only minor issue was that it seemed to remove slightly less oil when used with cold water.

It doesn't lather well on its own. I had to use a foaming net to create a decent lather, but even then, the foam was a bit runny rather than rich and creamy. (The attached photo shows the foam created with a net)
