* Eco-friendly packaging! At first, it might seem inconvenient, but I think it's a great initiative for the environment. * It's hydrating! Perfect for the increasingly cold weather. I think it's suitable for most people, except those with extremely dry skin. * The texture isn't too thick, it's slightly runny, which makes it absorb well and easy to use. * I love that it's fragrance-free, making it clean and pleasant. * Vegan!! The ingredients are fantastic! I haven't noticed any major drawbacks yet, but I wonder if the price might be a bit steep for the amount you get. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 11, 2022
•It absorbs well and is barely sticky, so when I applied it before bed, I was pleased that it didn't transfer onto my bedding. •When applied, it felt like it created a moisturizing barrier on the skin's surface. It seemed more suitable for dry and combination skin types rather than oily skin. The scent wasn't polarizing either, so I used it without any aversion. •It didn't cause any blemishes, and when I woke up, while my skin didn't feel as hydrated as right after skincare, it felt like the product had absorbed, leaving my skin soft and supple. •It comes in a paper pouch because it's a vegan product, which seemed a bit contradictory. You need to find your own container to store the product, and if you don't have one, you'd have to buy one separately. This seems to dilute the original vegan intention. Even for vegan products, while unnecessary processing should be reduced, a minimal container seems necessary. •While it might work for the skin's surface, it didn't seem to provide deep hydration. You'll likely need to apply a product specifically for deep dryness as well. When applying the product, you should use at least this routine to avoid feeling dry: toner - ampoule - deep moisturizing cream - Tiger Grass cream. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 10, 2022
- It's my first time seeing a vegan cosmetic product with a refill pack. I transferred the contents to an empty container I had. I really appreciate their environmental consciousness. - Although it looks thick and viscous, it applies smoothly and provides excellent hydration. - It absorbs well into the skin. - Even when my sensitive skin was experiencing blemishes, it didn't cause any tingling sensation and felt soothing. - As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I noticed increased oiliness in my T-zone over time, though it was perfect for my dry U-zone. I'd recommend this product for those with dry skin. - The scent is unique, somewhat like a fermented medicinal smell (not to my personal liking). - On the flip side, not having a dedicated container might be a bit inconvenient. Also, I found the price a bit high for a refill format. It's great that you can reuse your empty cosmetic containers with this refill pack. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 10, 2022
The packaging is paper, so you can peel off the label and pour the cream into an empty container! After transferring it, just toss the paper packaging in the trash. It's clear they've put a lot of thought into being environmentally friendly. It contains centella asiatica extract to help soothe the skin, jojoba seed oil, cocoa seed butter, neem flower extract, green tea extract, quince extract, and coconut oil for hydration. Since it's passed stability tests for sensitive skin, it seems perfect for use during seasonal changes and winter! It might be a bit heavy for summer though. The downside is that it might be a bit rich for oily skin types. If you don't have an empty container, you'll need to buy one! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinOct 10, 2022
The Hwahae Testers review for Yeonji <Joseon Vegan Moon Tiger Cream>: Texture: The product has a firm consistency that doesn't drip, reminiscent of applying a body emulsion. I appreciated how its rich texture immediately replenished dryness after cleansing. However, due to its characteristics, it might feel a bit heavy, making it more suitable for evening use. Design: Among companies launching vegan products, I haven't seen many paying such close attention to packaging. I was impressed that this product comes in a paper pouch, considering environmental impact. It's designed for users to transfer into their own airtight containers or the brand's containers. User experience: As someone with combination skin, I typically avoid products with excessive oiliness. The Moon Tiger Cream is incredibly moisturizing with a balanced richness, which seems particularly useful for the upcoming winter. Initially, it seemed to sit on top of the skin, forming a coating. However, when applied evenly with the right amount, it absorbed comfortably into the skin. Effectiveness: The most noticeable effect was its hydrating power. Applying just this cream after cleansing felt sufficient. Additionally, its soothing effect worked well even on my sensitive, blemish-prone skin, and I noticed a gradual reduction in blemishes. It seems suitable for those with sensitive skin like mine. Scent: It's nearly fragrance-free. Some people mention a scent from natural ingredients, but I barely noticed it. If I had to describe it, it's like a very diluted version of the smell from dermatologist-recommended skin medications. In my opinion, it's not irritating and I'd recommend it to those sensitive to fragrances. Value for money: Compared to other creams, the quantity isn't too little or too much for its price. Considering it's a vegan product, the price seems reasonable. It appears that a small amount is sufficient for application, making it seem like a good value overall. I intend to purchase it myself after using up this one. Design: In my case, I encountered some difficulties when transferring the cream from the paper pouch to an empty container. As it's paper, when cutting the opening and transferring, the paper slightly dissolved due to the cream, making it challenging to transfer. If not using a wide container like those for water-based creams, you'll need to carefully plan how to transfer it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 10, 2022
My skin type: Super sensitive, combination-oily, combination dehydrated skin ⭐️No irritation for super sensitive skin Even though my skin gets red and tingly with the slightest hint of cautionary ingredients on Hwahae, I experienced no irritation while using this. Thumbs up for vegan cosmetics! ⭐️High moisture for dry transitional weather From the moment I applied it, I could feel its rich texture. Thanks to its high hydration, I didn't experience any deep dryness for over 4 hours. ⭐️Portable (refillable container) As a product designed with environmental consciousness, it comes in eco-friendly packaging that allows you to transfer it into your own refillable container. High marks for portability! ⭐️Scent While it's close to unscented, I personally didn't care for the inherent smell of the product. ⭐️Oil content As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I prefer lighter formulas, but this one applies quite rich. It was perfect for areas lacking moisture and needing an oil barrier like the cheeks, but not great for oily areas like the T-zone. It felt like it sat on top of the skin without absorbing. ⭐️Portable (refillable container) This could be seen as both a pro and a con. In prioritizing eco-friendliness, I wonder if all the beneficial ingredients can be properly delivered to the skin. Properly sanitizing a refillable container depends on individual capability, and even then, it's questionable whether the product can be transferred in a sterile manner. I wish more research had been done on the container aspect. It's easier to transfer the product into a refillable container if you cut slightly above the easy-tear line on the packaging rather than using the line itself. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 10, 2022
I have sensitive skin that's oily in summer and combination dehydrated in winter and transitional seasons! The gentle cica ingredients seem to be working their magic. With consistent use, I've noticed my skin gradually improving. The application is great! It spreads easily and has a hydrating texture with just a hint of richness, making it perfect for moisturizing. It plays well with makeup too. I had no issues applying my base and foundation over it. I was quite impressed by their use of eco-friendly packaging to minimize waste. The only downside was the lack of a large refill container, so I had to buy one from Daiso. But it's fine since I got a jar type instead of a pump, making it easier to reuse or recycle. The scent is very subtle, almost undetectable. I was surprised to see other reviews mentioning an unpleasant smell... Maybe I'm just not very sensitive to scents. For fragrance opinions, please check other reviews! Some worry about bacterial growth in jar packaging. While using a spatula instead of fingers is best, Director Pi's video suggests that brief exposure to air doesn't cause significant issues due to the product's basic antimicrobial properties. (Additional note) It felt fine at first, but oily skin types might find it a bit heavy for summer use. I accidentally tore the opening too wide, making it difficult to transfer to a refill container. Be sure to cut the opening to an appropriate size for easy refilling! The plastic packaging can be hard to squeeze when it's full. Once it's mostly empty, try folding it in half and using a toothpaste squeezer to get every last drop out efficiently. (Additional tip) Since it's a bit thick, I tried laying oil blotting paper over it after application like a mask. It left my skin feeling great, like after a hydrating sheet mask! I usually carry oil blotting papers as I have oily skin in summer. If you don't have blotting papers, plastic wrap could work as an alternative for this masking method! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinOct 10, 2022
Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin with sensitivity. Texture: Slightly rich consistency. It doesn't melt into the skin like water, but rather feels like it needs to be massaged in several times to be absorbed. I found the absorption to be average. Moisturizing power: I mainly used it as the final step in my nighttime skincare routine, applying it generously like a sleeping pack. It doesn't evaporate quickly and seems to maintain a firm, bouncy feel on the skin. There's a very slight, non-bothersome stickiness to it. Effectiveness: After applying it before bed and waking up the next morning, my skin didn't feel dry. Despite the rich and slightly sticky feel when applied, it didn't leave my skin overly oily! (It actually produced less oil than I expected.) There was no itching or suffocating feeling, and I felt like it improved my skin's hydration and strengthened its barrier. Scent: The most unsatisfactory aspect is the fragrance. I thought that being vegan, they might have paid less attention to the scent due to excluding harmful ingredients, but it smells like... wood glue or some industrial chemical. It's even unpleasant enough to be off-putting, so I really hope they improve the scent. Product packaging: With the aim of reducing waste, it came in a paper package without any separate opening or cap to control the flow. While it's an environmentally conscious design, I found it a bit challenging as I didn't have a container ready to transfer it into. I think this might be a point of contention for some, as you have to be willing to deal with the inconvenience. Quick summary: A moisturizer that's not too oily even for combination dehydrated skin! However, keep in mind that you'll need to prepare an empty container to use it, and the scent is really quite unpleasant... - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinOct 10, 2022
My skin type is combination dehydrated! This cream seems perfect for the increasingly cold weather! Although I have combination dehydrated skin, my skin tends to produce a lot of oil, so in summer I mainly use products with high hydration. However, in winter, I've found that applying products with a slightly rich texture helps prevent dryness. So, for those with a similar skin type to mine, this product would be excellent to use in winter rather than summer. Also, I noticed that when I applied a small amount and spread it thinly, rather than slathering it on thickly, I could feel a fresh finish. I found it a bit inconvenient that you have to transfer the product into a separate container to use it. However, when I reconsidered why it was designed this way, it didn't feel like a major drawback. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 9, 2022
As soon as I received this product, I immediately smelled it and applied it to my cheeks, which are the least sensitive area. Since my cheeks are the driest part, it felt like it completely enveloped them. It's absolutely perfect for using on dry areas! I think it might be worth considering a different packaging method. The current package doesn't have perforated lines to tear along, so I just tore where it seemed intended. I can't help but worry that some paper particles might have gotten into the container along with dust while transferring the product. This might be a bit challenging for those with oily skin to use. Also, instead of hydrating the skin with moisture, it nourishes with oils. It's best not to apply it to areas prone to small blemishes like the nose, forehead, around the mouth, and chin. It works wonders when applied to dry areas, making the skin feel supple and nourished!
