As soon as I applied it to my skin, I felt an amazing cooling effect. It subtly brightened my complexion, similar to using a brightening moisturizer with SPF, which I really liked. I was worried about the scent since some people said it was awful, but I found it quite pleasant. Up close, I noticed some pilling - though I'm not sure if it's because I'm not experienced with makeup application or if I applied too much. However, from a distance, my skin looks incredibly smooth and flawless. I've included three photos: 1) my bare skin (excuse the imperfections), 2) a close-up after two applications, and 3) a distance shot after two applications. These were taken with my iPhone camera. While it might be a bit challenging for beginners to use (and I'm definitely a novice feeling overwhelmed already), it's still impressive. I can't say there's absolutely no coverage, but it does fall short in terms of concealing power. However, it seems to hide redness better than that other vegan cushion - you know, the 'Dew' something. I was really worried after watching various videos showing how it pills when you rub it, but it turned out better than expected. If you wait a bit before touching your face, it doesn't pill as much... - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 23, 2024
First off, when I applied it, I felt a cool sensation and immediate hydration, but also thought 'Did I actually put anything on?' The mesh material seems to dispense just the right amount evenly onto the puff, allowing for a natural application that looks like your skin but better. When applied all over, it gives a luminous glow while providing very sheer coverage, but I could still see it concealing slight blemishes and redness. As someone with acne-prone skin, heavy scarring, and prominent dead skin cells, thick cushions often look suffocating despite perfect coverage. This cushion, however, achieves the trifecta of 'radiance, coverage, and a clear complexion'. While it's not full coverage, I recommend it for its ability to create a natural, your-skin-but-better look. It's perfect for those who: struggle with cushion product amount control, want sheer coverage with a luminous finish, have dry skin and seek a hydrating cushion, or desire a cushion that looks like natural, beautiful skin. I wouldn't recommend this for those with extensive scarring as the coverage isn't perfect. However, considering how hydrating and brightening it is while still offering decent coverage, I'd still recommend it! Even if you think you haven't applied enough, try covering your whole face first and then check! You'll be amazed at how flawless your complexion looks! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 20, 2023
First off, this cushion is a ray of hope for my extremely dry skin. It's incredibly moisturizing, like applying skincare, and you can feel a cooling effect too. As the essence absorbs, it fixes with great hydration, so it barely transfers onto masks. It's truly my holy grail cushion! Oh, and the mesh net is fantastic, plus the puff has just the right amount of bounce. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this for oily or combination skin types! Also, the case doesn't open easily. The coverage is on the lower side, which can be good, but I wish it was just a tad higher... You need to give it some time to set properly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinNov 30, 2022
As someone with dry skin around the mouth and cheeks, and combination dehydrated skin elsewhere, I found the staying power to be average, but it barely transfers to masks, which is impressive for such a hydrating cushion. The formula is absolutely perfect for me, as I adore products that apply in thin layers. When my makeup starts to break down due to face heat from wearing a mask, this cushion's cooling effect, hydration, and lightweight feel make touch-ups quite nice. Personally, I'm a fan of the floral scent, though it might attract bugs. I don't really need much coverage except for dark circles, which this barely conceals. So the poor coverage others mentioned seems accurate. The shade 4 looks too dull on me... It's so close to my skin tone that I'd rather just wear sunscreen. Complete shade mismatch. When I set this with powder, it breaks down in a really unflattering way. They really emphasized the glow, but to me it just looks oily. It's only a pretty glow right after application, but after a while, it's like I poured cooking oil on my face. This makes the milia on my forehead look even more pronounced. It only feels moisturizing when you first apply it. After a few hours, oily areas become super greasy while dry areas crack. It's a disaster. The way it settles into wrinkles is unbelievable. The cushion puff collects so much dust. It cakes up and pills terribly. The official website recommends shade 4 for skin tones 22-25, which is why I bought it (plus I saw a blogger with lighter skin than mine using it). If you're a shade 22 and want a brighter look, go for shade 21. I was worried 21 would be too light, so I got 23, but it turned out much duller than expected.
