This cushion is truly perfect for dry skin! It barely emphasizes dead skin cells, doesn't separate, and applies thinly. If you're new to makeup and have dry skin, I highly recommend getting this. It's almost water-resistant and honestly a holy grail cushion. You don't even need to apply skincare underneath - it won't look patchy at all. You absolutely must buy this, I'm telling you! It's good, but it doesn't quite reach 100% perfection. While it barely emphasizes dead skin cells, there's still about 20% that it does. The coverage is good, but it feels like it's missing that last 20% to make it flawless. That's the overall impression. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 6, 2024
I've been using Amuse Dew Jelly for a long time, but after seeing The Edit's recommendation on YouTube, I switched to this and have been using it consistently! It's similar to Dew Jelly in that it applies thinly and feels moisturizing, but this one has more of a water-like sensation - not in terms of texture, but when you apply it, it feels more fluid. It's more about hydration and comfort than coverage, and even for me with sensitive and extremely dry skin, it feels more comfortable than other cosmetics when applied. YouTube videos suggest applying two thin layers for a glow, but since my skin gets uncomfortable and prone to blemishes when it feels suffocated, I've somewhat 'given up' on that glow and just apply one layer. Still, I'm extremely satisfied! Admittedly, after a long time, it does tend to clump a bit and settle into pores. But honestly, I haven't found any products with this type of formula that don't do that... I'm using it with reasonable satisfaction - it's become a staple! They recommend using a long spatula, but I found that I lack the technique and prefer using a puff instead! It's perfectly fine to use a puff and skillfully control the amount by applying it in sections. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 23, 2024
First off, when I applied it, I felt a cool sensation and immediate hydration, but also thought 'Did I actually put anything on?' The mesh material seems to dispense just the right amount evenly onto the puff, allowing for a natural application that looks like your skin but better. When applied all over, it gives a luminous glow while providing very sheer coverage, but I could still see it concealing slight blemishes and redness. As someone with acne-prone skin, heavy scarring, and prominent dead skin cells, thick cushions often look suffocating despite perfect coverage. This cushion, however, achieves the trifecta of 'radiance, coverage, and a clear complexion'. While it's not full coverage, I recommend it for its ability to create a natural, your-skin-but-better look. It's perfect for those who: struggle with cushion product amount control, want sheer coverage with a luminous finish, have dry skin and seek a hydrating cushion, or desire a cushion that looks like natural, beautiful skin. I wouldn't recommend this for those with extensive scarring as the coverage isn't perfect. However, considering how hydrating and brightening it is while still offering decent coverage, I'd still recommend it! Even if you think you haven't applied enough, try covering your whole face first and then check! You'll be amazed at how flawless your complexion looks! - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 5, 2023
I've been using this product for about a month, and as someone with dry skin, I really appreciated how moisturizing it felt when applied. It goes on in a thin layer, giving a natural and pleasant finish! Given that it's a hydrating product, there is a bit of transfer. Occasionally, you might experience some pilling during use. The coverage isn't particularly strong either. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinMay 5, 2023
As someone with dry skin, I love how moisturizing this Water Bear Cushion is. It applies in a thin layer, which is great. Unfortunately, it lacks coverage, so it doesn't conceal imperfections well. The thin application makes it user-friendly for beginners. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 1, 2023
I hadn't tried mesh cushions since Moonshot, as they didn't suit me, but I decided to give this one a go because I trust Rom&nd. I've never had a Rom&nd cushion that didn't work for me, so my expectations were high - and I wasn't disappointed. It was exactly the cushion I'd been looking for. I prefer a natural look and don't like heavy coverage, so I was pleased with the sheer, lightweight feel that still gives a noticeable finish. Despite being a moisturizing cushion, it surprisingly held up well against mask transfer. What I really love is the cooling sensation when applying - it feels like cool water on the skin, not just a 'cool' marketing gimmick. Being a hydrating formula, I was concerned about darkening, but the application is so thin that I couldn't even tell if it happened! The only downside, which is unavoidable with mesh cushions, is that the product can sometimes pool to one side. But that's just the nature of the design, I suppose! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 6, 2023
The case is beautiful. It feels cool when applying and spreads incredibly thin and light (its biggest advantage). Pore coverage isn't bad. The moisturizing glow is insane! The coverage is low, but I knew that when I bought it, so it was better than expected. The color comes out light... Sand seems too dark, though. I wish they had shade 24. Since my skin isn't great, it can look a bit like cooking oil. You'll definitely need to apply powder on the T-zone and nasolabial folds. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 21, 2023
The color is on the brighter side. Think of it as more of a brightening moisturizer. It applies thinly and can create a glowing complexion. It's a hydrating cushion, so it feels cool and moist when applied, but it's relatively low in oil content, which means it can easily accentuate dead skin cells if you have any. It doesn't transfer to masks at all, and there's no imprinting or smudging from mask-wearing. However, it does tend to fade rather than stay put, and doesn't last very long. For me, because the color is light, it can look a bit patchy as it wears off. I've tried mesh cushions from Chanel, Amuse, and Rom&nd. Based on my experience, I'll compare them: Coverage: Chanel > Rom&nd > Amuse. Hydration: Rom&nd > Amuse > Chanel. Glow: Rom&nd > Amuse > Chanel. Longevity: All three don't last very long. Mask transfer: Only Chanel transfers, Amuse and Rom&nd don't. Short-lasting and breaks down messily when it fades. While it's hydrating, the lack of oil means it doesn't retain moisture well. Among the mesh cushions I've tried, this one appeals to me the least. All three mesh cushions are great for a light, natural makeup look. If I had to choose just one, it would be Amuse. Amuse has a balanced oil content, so it doesn't accentuate flakes even when applied hastily, and even as it fades, it does so gracefully. Rom&nd and Chanel, on the other hand, can look patchy as they wear off and can emphasize dead skin cells if applied carelessly. That's why I find myself reaching for Amuse more often. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 17, 2023
I was skeptical when I first bought this during the pre-launch, but after using it, I'm so satisfied that I've stocked up on refills. It feels like it creates an ultra-thin, transparent water film on the skin, which might not be for everyone, but if you're into the 'effortlessly chic' look, you'll probably love it. While it doesn't really cover blemishes, it evens out the complexion and completely masks redness. For those with dry skin, it'll feel like you've applied a moisturizing skincare product with a tone-correcting effect. It also does a great job of concealing pores and doesn't transfer onto masks. The best part is that even if it wears off, it's not noticeable due to its transparency. When I went out wearing this, I received so many compliments on my complexion - people asked if I had a good night's sleep or why my skin looked so good. It's truly a holy grail product for me. It's fine to use this in winter, but I suspect it would melt off within 30 minutes if someone with oily skin tried to use it in summer. It's extremely rich in both oil and moisture. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinNov 30, 2022
As someone with dry skin around the mouth and cheeks, and combination dehydrated skin elsewhere, I found the staying power to be average, but it barely transfers to masks, which is impressive for such a hydrating cushion. The formula is absolutely perfect for me, as I adore products that apply in thin layers. When my makeup starts to break down due to face heat from wearing a mask, this cushion's cooling effect, hydration, and lightweight feel make touch-ups quite nice. Personally, I'm a fan of the floral scent, though it might attract bugs. I don't really need much coverage except for dark circles, which this barely conceals. So the poor coverage others mentioned seems accurate. The shade 4 looks too dull on me... It's so close to my skin tone that I'd rather just wear sunscreen. Complete shade mismatch. When I set this with powder, it breaks down in a really unflattering way. They really emphasized the glow, but to me it just looks oily. It's only a pretty glow right after application, but after a while, it's like I poured cooking oil on my face. This makes the milia on my forehead look even more pronounced. It only feels moisturizing when you first apply it. After a few hours, oily areas become super greasy while dry areas crack. It's a disaster. The way it settles into wrinkles is unbelievable. The cushion puff collects so much dust. It cakes up and pills terribly. The official website recommends shade 4 for skin tones 22-25, which is why I bought it (plus I saw a blogger with lighter skin than mine using it). If you're a shade 22 and want a brighter look, go for shade 21. I was worried 21 would be too light, so I got 23, but it turned out much duller than expected.
