It allows for targeted care on areas prone to hair loss, and with regular use, it seems to nourish the scalp, promoting healthy hair growth. Additionally, its natural ingredient-rich formula is great for those with sensitive scalps, making it a gentle option for daily use.
ConsAreas for improvement: The fragrance of the shampoo isn't particularly strong or long-lasting, which might disappoint those who prefer more scented products. Also, it's important to note that the anti-hair loss effects aren't immediately noticeable with just the shampoo alone, so consistent use over time is key for seeing results.

This women's anti-hair loss shampoo is my first try, and I love how it lathers up so much better than other hair loss shampoos. With others, I end up using a lot because they don't foam well, but with this one, a little goes a long way. After drying my hair post-wash, I can definitely feel more volume compared to other shampoos, and I notice less hair falling out. It's great for managing dead skin cells without making my hair feel heavy or greasy.
ConsThe fragrance seems to fade quickly. I can't really detect any special scent while shampooing. Also, similar to other anti-hair loss shampoos, it leaves my hair feeling a bit stiff, so using a conditioner seems necessary.

It quickly produces a soft foam, which I really appreciate. Compared to my previous shampoo, it lathers much more easily, giving me a better cleansing experience and effectiveness! Delightful fragrance: The aromatic lavender scent with a hint of zesty bergamot creates a mood-lifting fragrance. It reminds me of a luxurious body emulsion scent, which I personally find very appealing! Packaging: Unlike the Ryo shampoos I've seen before, this one has a more modern, sophisticated look. The design is sleek, and a single pump dispenses just the right amount of shampoo. It's the first time I've come across an anti-hair loss shampoo specifically formulated for women. Since I use shampoo frequently anyway, I think I'll be reaching for this hair loss prevention product quite often!
ConsWhile the fragrance is pleasant, it doesn't last very long. However, I believe it's more important to focus on scalp health rather than long-lasting scent, so the short-lived fragrance doesn't bother me much.
TipI have an oily scalp that gets greasy quickly, so I follow Chahong's oily scalp shampooing method. It helps reduce greasiness and works well for me! My routine is: Brushing > Pre-wash > Treatment/Conditioner > Shampoo. Then I apply a hair essence. If you find your hair getting greasy quickly, you might want to try this washing routine too!

It used to have a strong herbal scent, but now that's barely noticeable. Since it's for hair loss care, I definitely feel like I'm losing fewer strands! When I wash my hair, I usually gather loose hairs, but there are hardly any - it's clear that less is falling out! Also, my hair tends to get flat and limp easily as it's quite fine, but with this shampoo, the volume seems to last longer!
ConsThere's a scent when you're washing, but it doesn't linger afterwards. However, that doesn't bother me. The quantity... it feels a bit like a camping size, so I think I'll use it up quickly.
TipAfter applying shampoo to my hair, I don't rinse it out immediately. Instead, I brush my teeth. I heard this helps the product work better... Give it a try!

This is a testimonial review after winning and using it for a week. I shampoo twice a day, morning and evening. After using this, I've noticed a significant reduction in hair loss when drying my hair after washing! I've always had thin hair and work in a job where I tie it up daily, so I used to see a lot of shedding. But after using the Root Gen for Women, I definitely felt less hair falling out from the third evening onwards. You know how you notice your fallen hair when cleaning the floor or bathroom? The scent is light and refreshing, like bergamot and lemon herb, which makes shampooing a pleasant experience. I used to think anti-hair loss shampoos didn't lather well, but I didn't notice any difference while washing. When blow-drying, if you tousle your hair in different directions, you can achieve some root volume. It's hard to get that volume boost from shampoo alone, right? If you use your fingers to dry against the grain, the root volume lasts a bit longer. I've used Ryo shampoo before, but I'm thinking of switching to Root Gen as it seems more tailored for women in terms of fragrance, root volume, oil control, and hair loss prevention. Ladies, we should use good shampoo - let's live beautifully and healthily!
ConsSince it's not a perfume, the scent doesn't last very long. The volume of the product is a bit disappointing, especially for women with long hair. When it comes to shampoo, bigger bottles are always better...
TipWhen showering, soak your scalp in lukewarm water for about five minutes to soften dead skin cells, then massage the shampoo into your scalp and hair. Leave it on for a bit before rinsing. Oh, and absolutely make sure to lather the shampoo in your palms before applying it to your hair - everyone knows that, right?

However, this shampoo is a game-changer! It has a subtle lavender scent that's not irritating to the scalp and rinses out cleanly. Unlike typical anti-hair loss shampoos that leave your hair feeling stiff, this one doesn't. Plus, it has a cooling effect that I'll definitely appreciate during summer. I feel like my cleaner scalp is naturally leading to healthier-looking hair!
ConsI'm using this product so well that there's hardly anything to complain about! If I had to nitpick, I'd say the scent doesn't last very long, at least for my standards.

When I first used it without knowing much about the product, the aroma hit me - it's like a blend of herbal essential oils. It gives off a relaxing spa-like fragrance, as if you're getting a massage. I later found out they collaborated with a French perfumer, and I'd definitely buy this again just for the scent alone! While it's hard to notice dramatic effects on hair loss due to the short usage period (if I did, it'd be Nobel Prize worthy!), I'm currently in a postpartum hair shedding phase. Yet, I have this subtle feeling that I'm losing slightly fewer strands - just a hunch, mind you! (The photo shows a bigger difference, but it's not quite that dramatic in reality.) As for volume, there's a tiny, barely noticeable increase. I only realized this after reading about its volumizing effects while researching the fragrance. It's a subtle change, but it's there! The shampoo lathers well and has good cleansing effectiveness. Even though I'm lazy and don't wash my hair daily, it doesn't get too greasy even after two days. What's great is that even without conditioner or treatment, just a gentle brush after shampooing leaves my hair smooth, not stiff at all. I'm really impressed! Bottom line: I'm definitely repurchasing this, mainly for that amazing scent!
ConsThe only downside is that the fragrance doesn't last very long. It would have been perfect if there was a lingering scent after drying my hair.

It has a refreshing bergamot and citrus aroma that I absolutely love! I have medium-length hair, so I only need a small amount. The shampoo lathers up beautifully, creating rich, abundant foam. It effectively removes excess oil, leaving my scalp feeling clean. Even hours later, I noticed less oil buildup on my scalp, which is fantastic. As for its anti-hair loss effects, I think it'll take longer to see real results. However, I feel like I'm shedding slightly less hair compared to when I first started using it. (This could be just my imagination though!)
ConsWhile the fragrance is wonderful, it seems to disappear quickly once I blow-dry my hair. The lack of lasting scent is disappointing. Like most anti-hair loss shampoos, it does leave my hair feeling a bit stiff. However, compared to other products I've used in the past, it's not as severe.
TipI always use this in combination with a hair treatment for best results.

ConsTo be honest, I liked both the fragrance and how it feels, so I don't have any complaints. However, the scent is only noticeable while washing and disappears after rinsing. Not recommended for those who prefer long-lasting fragrances like perfume shampoos.
TipFor those with super sensitive skin, I wouldn't recommend leaving the shampoo on for 2-3 minutes before rinsing. That method actually irritated my scalp in the past. Using a scalp mask once or twice a week seems to work better. (Keep in mind that even among those with sensitive scalps, individual experiences may vary)

Some shampoos make my hair particularly oily by the afternoon. However, this shampoo doesn't do that, which I'm really pleased about. After shampooing, my hair feels squeaky clean when I rinse, leaving me feeling refreshed. There's also a noticeable cooling effect that soothes my scalp. When I think of Ryo, I imagine traditional herbal shampoos with a medicinal scent, but I'm glad this one doesn't have that typical herbal smell. It lathers well even with a small amount, making it easy to use. I also like the thick, non-drip consistency. As for its effects on hair loss, I haven't used it long enough to notice dramatic results. I'll need to use it for a longer period to truly assess. Still, since it's marketed as a hair loss prevention product, I'm going to keep using it diligently, believing it will help prevent hair loss even if the effects aren't immediately noticeable.
ConsThe fragrance doesn't last very long, which is a bit disappointing. Other than that, I didn't really notice any significant drawbacks.
TipDue to its deep cleansing effectiveness that leaves hair squeaky clean, using conditioner and treatment afterwards is a must!
