Although it has a foam texture, it adheres gently like a cleansing water, and it thoroughly removes makeup residue, so I felt it was sufficient for primary cleansing. Compared to cleansing oils or removers, the makeup removal power of this product is relatively weaker for heavy makeup, so additional cleansing may be necessary for removing intense makeup. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 5, 2023
I love how easy it is to remove when I'm just wearing sunscreen. It's so simple and convenient. However, it doesn't work well on mascara or eyeliner. You'll need to use a separate remover for those. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 17, 2023
No irritation! It can easily cleanse light sunscreen! The foam lathers up nicely. I've used oil-to-foam products before, but this was my first time trying a water-to-foam cleanser. It doesn't really feel like a water formula, more like a gel texture. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it lathers. I also like that it removes basic sunscreen. I've been using it for my morning cleanse. My boyfriend absolutely loves this product. He always applies sunscreen but was uncomfortable just using a foam cleanser. Now he's happy that he doesn't have to worry about that anymore. Please note that like other cleansing waters or gels, it doesn't remove waterproof or heavy makeup very well. It's best suited for those who only wear light sunscreen. Recommended for men who apply sunscreen daily. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 14, 2023
Texture: It comes out thin and watery, but it lathers up easily with just a small amount and without much effort. Unlike other oil-based products that leave a residue requiring a second cleanse with foam, this one doesn't leave that rich feeling after rinsing. As someone with oily skin, I found it convenient to use just this one product for a complete cleanse. Scent: It has a unique fragrance. I'm not particularly sensitive to scents, so it didn't bother me. It's an unfamiliar scent that's neither good nor bad. It's not floral, but if I had to describe it, it's more of a herbal aroma. Packaging: I really dislike pumps that dispense too much product at once, but this one releases just the right amount with each pump, making it very convenient to use. Overall: Repurchase intention: 9/10 It's a bit disappointing that it doesn't remove mascara in one go. However, for someone like me who finds cleansing the most tedious part of skincare, this product is perfect for days when I'm not wearing mascara. It's really convenient to be able to finish cleansing in just one step! You'll need to remove mascara separately. While it removes eyeliner well, it doesn't take off mascara in one cleanse. Especially if you're using waterproof products, I recommend using an additional eye makeup remover. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 14, 2023
The Illiyoon brand is famous for using beneficial ingredients rather than harmful ones for the skin. I'm so grateful to have been chosen by The Hwahae Testers to try this product. At first, it feels like a cleansing gel. You apply it to your face, roll it around, then add water to create a lather while cleansing. It removes BB cream quite effectively. Unfortunately, it doesn't remove color makeup and foundation well. You'll need to use a cleansing water or cream first, then use this as a second cleanse. However, it does remove mineral sunscreen effectively. For best results, keep rolling it on your face with a bit of water until it lathers up nicely. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 12, 2023
My skin type is combination dehydrated, with only my nose, chin, and forehead being oily. Because of this, cleansing oils are too heavy and can easily cause blemishes on my sensitive skin. I usually wear sunscreen or a brightening moisturizer cushion, so using a cleansing foam alone doesn't quite cut it for thorough cleansing. That's when I discovered this cleansing water foam while searching for a gentle, lightweight makeup remover! The water foam has a perfect consistency - a light gel texture that's so weightless it almost drips off when applied! It's ideal for those who find oily cleansers too heavy. It removes sunscreen and brightening moisturizer cushions very effectively, making it perfect for daily use! While it removes base makeup well, it takes a bit more time and effort to remove heavy point makeup. On days when I wear intense color cosmetics, I still need to use a separate makeup remover, which is slightly disappointing. Personally, I usually use it while showering. First, I apply it to my made-up face and gently massage to dissolve the makeup. Then, I wait about 2-3 minutes to allow the water foam to penetrate any remaining makeup - brushing my teeth is the perfect time for this! After a short while, I wet my hands and work up a lather. This method makes me feel like the makeup residue is thoroughly dissolved, leaving my skin feeling extra clean! Of course, results may vary from person to person. With seven ingredients excluded and no eye irritation, I think I'll be using this regularly for removing my daily makeup. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 12, 2023
Since I usually just apply sunscreen and lip color lightly instead of full makeup, I was looking for a product that removes sunscreen well when I came across this Illiyoon cleanser! You roll it over your face like an oil, wash it off, and when you add water, it lathers slightly while cleansing. The best part is that my skin doesn't feel tight after washing! (I have combination dehydrated skin!) The scent is very mild, almost unscented, so I had no issues with fragrance. As someone who regularly uses Illiyoon products, I'm completely satisfied with this as a simple cleansing option! It doesn't remove mascara or eyeliner very well... You'll need to use a different cleanser for those. I'll need to use it more to be sure, but it doesn't seem to be very effective at clearing out blackheads. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 12, 2023
First off, I had high expectations for this product due to my trust in Illiyoon's quality. The texture is like a low-viscosity cleansing gel, and it creates a light, thin foam typical of low pH products, making it great for morning cleansing. Despite the light foam, its cleansing power isn't compromised. As it markets itself for removing 'pa-ku-sun' (foundation, cushion, and sunscreen), it indeed effectively cleanses these products. I usually do a triple cleanse with cleansing tissues, oil, and foam, but when I want to reduce steps to minimize skin irritation, this product alone provides a gentle yet thorough cleanse. The scent, which comes from the ingredients, could be seen as both a pro and a con. Using it without water gives an oil cleanser deep cleansing feel, while using it with water and lathering feels like a foam cleanser, so it's versatile depending on your needs. If fragrance is important to you, I wouldn't recommend this. The scent seems to come from the raw ingredients, and many might find it unpleasant. For waterproof products, you may still need to use a lip and eye remover or an oil-based cleanser for a thorough cleanse. As this product boasts its ability to remove 'pa-ku-sun', I tried using it to clean my makeup puffs, and it works great. Since it's gentle enough for skin use, give it a try for cleaning your makeup tools too. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSep 11, 2023
I've been so satisfied with Illiyoon's body wash, emulsion, and cream before, so I was curious about their cleansing foam. Luckily, I got the chance to try their cleansing water foam! First impression: True to Illiyoon's style, it's a transparent and fragrance-free product! My initial thought after using it was 'As expected, it's so gentle!' Texture: It feels more like a cleansing gel than a cleansing water. User experience: You can either apply it to dry skin, massage it in, then add water to create foam, or lather it up from the start. When cleansing makeup or sunscreen, I first applied it to dry skin to dissolve the makeup, then lathered it up. Unlike other cleansing foams, there was absolutely no feeling of tightness! It made me wonder if it was actually cleansing well. But it removed base makeup really thoroughly. It doesn't remove waterproof point makeup products very well. Instead of rubbing hard to remove them, I plan to use it together with an eye makeup remover. For evening cleansing, first massage it on dry skin, then add water to create foam! For morning cleansing, lather it up first for a light cleanse! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 1, 2023
It definitely seems gentle! The foam lathers well, and it cleanses softly without irritation, which is great. I especially love that it's a pump-type, so unlike tube types, I don't have to worry about water getting in, making it more hygienic to use. In the mornings, I always use a low pH cleanser, and this one is just as gentle as my usual low pH cleansers. While it seems to cleanse light base makeup well, on days when I've done a full face, it struggles. Even if I use a dedicated remover for point makeup, it can't quite handle the foundation, concealer, and finishing powder that I've carefully applied. If you want to use this worry-free, it's probably best for days when you've only worn sunscreen (mineral-based). I don't have any special tips to share!
