The cleansing effectiveness was excellent when removing makeup While there wasn't anything particularly disappointing, it felt a bit stiff during application, which was a slight letdown - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 8, 2025
I noticed this product is frequently mentioned as a top recommendation. It's great because it can cleanse both sunscreen and light makeup in one go. When first applying it to the face, it feels a bit stiff and draggy. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 20, 2024
✅ Skin Type - Combination skin with oily T-zone and dry U-zone - Enlarged pores in the butterfly zone - Uneven texture and sebum in butterfly zone and between eyebrows - Deep dryness (feels dry immediately after washing) - No cystic acne, but presence of small blemishes ✅ Package Design - Convenient design with a twist-lock head - Transparent body with a pretty sky-blue head - Pump-type dispenser (though the pressing feeling is a bit uncomfortable) ✅ Product Features - Sticky consistency - Transparent liquid - For makeup removal, apply to dry hands and roll over face - For morning cleanse without makeup, apply to damp face and lather - Revolutionary product combining cleansing water and foam to remove sunscreen, cushion foundation, and liquid foundation in one go ✅ Effects - Gentle ingredients, no blemishes ─ Honestly, I bought this for easy cleansing after light makeup (just sunscreen or cushion), but it doesn't remove cushion and liquid foundation well. You can still see foundation stuck in pores. So I'm unsure if it's effectively removing just sunscreen. 💔 Drawbacks - Doesn't seem to cleanse pores effectively - Fails to remove recently applied eyeliner - For makeup removal, instructions say to apply with damp hands and roll over face, but it feels extremely draggy ─ Even when only wearing sunscreen, a second cleanse is necessary. The absorbs so poorly that I worry about stretching my skin while cleansing. Recommended for those who want to try Illiyoon! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinNov 19, 2023
I bought this cleansing water foam expecting the light, watery texture of typical cleansing waters, but it surprised me with a thicker, gel-like consistency. After using about a third of the product, I can say it's been gentle on my skin with no blemishes or irritation. For my combination dehydrated skin, it provides just the right amount of hydration - not too much, not too little. Overall, it's a solid, reliable product. The only downside is that it feels a bit stiff when rolling it on the skin. While I don't mind the scent, it might be hit or miss for some people. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 15, 2023
I was lucky enough to be selected as one of The Hwahae Testers and used this product for about a week. Here's my experience: *Texture: It's a gentle cleansing gel that doesn't cause any irritation! As someone with oily skin, I often find it challenging to only use water for my morning cleanse. I was pleased to find that this non-irritating gel worked well for me. *Formulation: It has a clear gel consistency. *Scent: I appreciated that it doesn't have any noticeable fragrance. It's neither overpoweringly scented nor unpleasantly unscented - just right! *Blemishes: My skin is prone to blemishes, but I didn't experience any breakouts while using the illiyoon Cleansing Gel. *Room for Improvement: Unlike cleansing oils, balms, or emulsions typically used for first cleanse, this gel isn't ideal for massaging onto dry skin. The consistency is thicker and more viscous than I expected. When applied to dry skin, it feels like you're just rubbing the surface layer rather than deeply cleansing the pores. For my evening skincare routine, I used a separate first cleanser before following up with the illiyoon gel as my second cleanse. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 2, 2023
The texture is incredibly rich. It turns almost white and becomes thick as soon as you start massaging, so you need to squeeze out a bit more initially. I usually squeeze about 4 times. When you add water after massaging, it instantly creates a ton of lather. There's no fragrance, and I didn't experience any dryness. I'd say it feels about 10% like a water cleanser and 90% like a foam cleanser. If the formula was a bit thinner, it might remove makeup more effectively. When it's still transparent at first, you can't massage it much because it quickly becomes thick... However, it does produce a lot of foam - you can think of it as almost washing your face with foam alone. It's more comfortable to massage initially if you squeeze out a slightly generous amount at the beginning. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 1, 2023
▶️My usual evening cleansing routine: First cleanse with a cleansing balm, followed by a second cleanse with a mild alkaline cleanser ✅Texture ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ : Flows easily when pumped. As you massage, it turns white and becomes a bit stiff! Add water and continue massaging, and it becomes as smooth as a cleansing foam! ✅Cleansing effectiveness ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ : For someone like me who doesn't wear much makeup and only uses mineral sunscreen, the cleansing power is satisfactory. I did a cleansing test by applying various makeup products on my inner arm and cleansing after 10 minutes. It removed everything cleanly except for concealer. ✅After-feel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ : Leaves no residue. Love that it doesn't make my face feel tight! ✅Scent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ : The fragrance seems familiar, so I don't particularly dislike it! You need to massage for longer than expected! It also feels stiffer than anticipated when massaging, making you want to pump out more or quickly add water. However, its strength lies in not needing a second cleanse, so I'll likely keep using it! Resist the urge to add water immediately and massage for longer than you might think necessary! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 28, 2023
1. Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin, oily T-zone, sensitive and blemish-prone skin, can't use fermented cosmetics 2. illiyoon Cleansing Water Foam - How to use: For an average female face, pump 2-2.5 times and gently massage over the entire face. Then, slightly dampen your hands and slowly roll it around to emulsify. Personally, I like to add a bit more water to my hands and continue rolling several times. I feel like if you rinse it off quickly like a regular foam cleanser, it won't clean thoroughly, so I take extra care. Around the 4th time, it starts to foam up and feels more like a cleansing foam. I finish the whole cleansing process in about 1-2 minutes, and as a final test, I wiped with cleansing water and found no BB cream residue. Extremely satisfied with the cleansing effectiveness!! 3. illiyoon Cleansing Water Foam - Texture: As it's a slightly acidic product, you'll feel a unique slipperiness when rinsing initially, so you need to rinse with water several times. So, because I'm lazy... I lather up with a facial soap and do a gentle second cleanse. This way, my face feels comfortable without any blemishes. I have super sensitive skin, so I've been alternating between cleansing water and cleansing milk, but I was really curious about this product. It's definitely less irritating to the face than wiping with cotton pads soaked in cleansing water! It does remove light makeup, but not perfectly. But for point makeup, using a dedicated remover is always the cleanest way! 4. illiyoon Cleansing Water Foam - Overall review: The Cleansing Water Foam was truly innovative!!! It's neither a cleansing gel nor a cleansing foam, but I felt it had the advantages of both product types. The texture is a bit thicker than a gel, so a small amount is enough for perfect cleansing, which is a big plus. I'm going to ditch the irritating cotton pad cleansing and switch to this Cleansing Water Foam! The only drawback is that when you first roll it on your face, it's extremely thick, so if you rub for a long time or apply too much pressure, your face might feel dry and temporarily tingly after rinsing. But this can be solved by gently rolling! I think taking your time and putting effort into cleansing is good for skin health, regardless of the product! After initially rolling it over your entire face, add small amounts of water and gently roll several times. If you want an even fresher feel, finish with a facial soap! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 27, 2023
I usually wear mineral sunscreen, Lancôme Teint Idole foundation, and waterproof mascara. I was really excited to try this product since it claims to remove foundation, cushion, and sunscreen all at once. In conclusion, I think it would be great for those who wear light makeup or sunscreen, and for those who get blemishes from using oil cleansers. First off, there's no added fragrance, but it has that typical dermatological product scent from the ingredients themselves. The texture is gel-like with some viscosity, closer to a gel than a water cleanser. It doesn't drip off your hands, making it easy to apply to your face. It lathers up well when you add water. It's convenient since you don't need to double cleanse or emulsify, and your skin feels hydrated after cleansing. There's a slight drag when rolling it on your face. Maybe because it's mildly acidic, but I didn't feel like it thoroughly cleansed away all the sebum. While it's unscented, the natural smell isn't quite to my liking. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAug 27, 2023
Skin type: Combination, oily Texture: - More of a thick gel consistency rather than an oily feel Scent: - There is a scent, but it's not particularly pleasant; it leaves a subtle, peculiar fragrance Usage experience: - Effectively removes light daily makeup (cushion foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner), but doesn't leave a fresh finish. Instead, it feels like there's an oily film, prompting me to use a cleansing foam afterwards. - When trying to remove eye makeup, I scrub the eye area thoroughly and rinse with water, but the product doesn't wash off easily, causing eye irritation. This is uncomfortable for my sensitive eyes. - Produces rich lather when water is added. - Satisfactory when used as a second cleanse after initial makeup removal. When cleansing makeup on dry skin, rolling the gel feels too thick and sticky, making it inconvenient to remove. Those with sensitive noses or eyes should exercise caution.
