First off, the simple packaging that gives a clean impression is so pretty! The lightweight and refreshing formula seems great for those with oily or combination skin, especially during summer. I was relieved to use it even with my sensitive skin, as it's made with only safe ingredients. As a mildly acidic cleansing water, it leaves the skin feeling more moisturized after use compared to other products, despite its light and fresh texture. It contains skin-loving ingredients like niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, madecassoside, and allantoin, which hydrate, soothe, and protect the skin. This resulted in less irritation after cleansing, giving me peace of mind. With its large 400ml size and affordable price, it offers excellent value for money. Surprisingly, when I accidentally got some in my eyes, it didn't sting like other products do! While it does remove some heavy makeup, it doesn't seem to clean it off completely. Being a cleansing water, it doesn't remove whiteheads or blackheads, so you'll need to use a separate product for that, which can be a bit inconvenient. For those with super sensitive skin like mine, even wiping with a cotton pad can cause irritation. To avoid this, try putting the cleansing water in a foam dispenser, gently massaging the foam onto your skin, and then rinsing with lukewarm water. This method allows for a gentle, irritation-free cleanse! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 27, 2023
Despite having gentle ingredients that won't cause blemishes even for sensitive skin, it still has decent cleansing effectiveness. It's neither too watery nor too thick and difficult to dispense, making it comfortable to use with cotton pads. The scent isn't overpowering, and I'd recommend this product if you don't get along with oily formulas! Due to its water-based nature, it doesn't effectively remove sebum, blackheads, or whiteheads. While there aren't any other particular downsides, it doesn't feel significantly better than other cleansing waters, so I've deducted one star. As a water-based product, it doesn't effectively remove sebum, blackheads, or whiteheads. While there aren't any other specific drawbacks, it doesn't feel remarkably superior to other cleansing waters, which is why I've taken off one star from my rating. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 26, 2023
As someone who's always used cleansing oils until now, I decided to switch things up this time. I heard that water-based cleansers are less irritating to the skin than oil-based ones. I tried it with the foam dispenser that came with it, and wow, it really creates a great lather! I have sensitive eyes that sting easily with harsh products, but this micellar cleansing water didn't cause any tingling at all, even when I rubbed it directly on my eyes. I'm completely satisfied! I tried cleansing with just this water, and my skin felt wonderfully hydrated afterwards. It doesn't seem to be as effective at removing blackheads as oil cleansers are. Make sure to use it with the foam dispenser provided for best results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 16, 2023
I was about to finish my current cleansing water when I saw this product advertised on TV. I applied for The Hwahae Testers event and was selected to try it for about 10 days. Instead of using cotton pads, I used it with a foaming bottle for cleansing. Cleansing effectiveness: It removes base makeup like sunscreen or cushion foundation quite easily without much effort. While I didn't try it on waterproof makeup, it even removed most of my K*ss Me eyeliner after letting it sit for a bit. Texture: With its water-like consistency, it's a great option for those who find cleansing oils too heavy. There's minimal residue after rinsing with water. Foaming bottle use: As I have sensitive skin, I prefer foam cleansing to wiping. The foam from this product lasts longer than my previous T*den one. It stays on the face for about 10 seconds, allowing for a gentle cleanse. Hydration: Though I have combination skin leaning slightly towards dry, this product didn't cause any dryness. Even after a while, my face didn't feel tight. Ingredients: It contains skin-protective ingredients like niacinamide, panthenol, and madecassoside. It's free from 20 controversial ingredients and common allergens, which might explain why I didn't experience any blemishes. Value for money: With a generous 400ml and a reasonable price, it's quite affordable. It would be great for those new to cleansing waters. While generally satisfactory, it could be irritating when used on sensitive skin, and the scent was somewhat disappointing. Irritation: Though less irritating than the T*den product, it stung a bit when it touched damaged skin or got into my eyes. Those with super sensitive skin might want to patch test first. Oil control: Likely due to its water-based formula, it didn't significantly improve blackheads or whiteheads. The T*den product was more effective in this aspect. Scent: Although it's fragrance-free, there was a slight chemical smell upon first opening, which was off-putting. I got used to it, but some might find it bothersome. Packaging: While the transparent bottle makes it easy to check the remaining product, the walls are somewhat rigid, requiring more force to squeeze. Decanting into a separate bottle might be more convenient. For those with sensitive skin, using a foaming bottle might be better in terms of reducing irritation and maintaining hygiene. For point makeup removal, saturate a cotton pad with the product, leave it on the area for about 30 seconds, then cleanse for better results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 25, 2023
* Recommended for: - Those who don't get along with oily cleansing products - People who usually wear light makeup like sunscreen, but worry about cleansing with foam alone - Those seeking a fresh and hydrating cleansing experience 1. Ingredients The product description emphasizes gentle, non-irritating cleansing. Looking at the ingredient list, it's quite similar to a toner, except for a few components. Apart from surfactants and pH adjusters for mild acidity, it mostly contains ingredients that help with hydration and skin barrier function, like panthenol. Think of it as a cleansing toner. 2. Texture The texture is completely water-like, just like a liquid toner. It moistens cotton pads nicely and can be gently wiped across the skin, similar to using an exfoliating toner. 3. Cleansing Effectiveness I tested it on eyeshadow, eyeliner, eyebrow pencil, concealer pencil, and mascara. With one swipe, it effectively removed eyeshadow and eyebrow pencil, but mascara and eyeliner only smudged and remained. Multiple swipes can remove them completely, but for heavy eye makeup, a dedicated eye makeup remover might be necessary. It cleanses sunscreen and light base makeup effectively. As a precaution, I wiped with a cotton pad soaked in lip and eye remover after cleansing, and there was only a slight residue, which should be easily removed with a second cleanse. Overall: This water-type cleansing product has a moisturizing toner-like formula. It's recommended as a first-step cleanser for those who prefer water-based formulas over oils or those who typically wear light makeup. 1. Being a water-based formula, it can't dissolve blackheads or whiteheads. You'll need to use a separate pore-cleansing pack for sebum absorption. 2. Using cotton pads for wiping might cause physical irritation, so it's best to think of this as a gentle first-step cleanser rather than trying to remove all makeup with it in one go. I used it with cotton pads, but if you're concerned about irritation from cotton, you can apply it like a toner or use a foam maker to create a lather and use it like a cleansing foam. + After trying it with a foam maker, I found it much gentler and more pleasant to use. However, the cleansing power was reduced. During testing, some concealer remained in skin texture, but it was completely removed with a second cleanse. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 24, 2023
Capacity: The volume you get for the price is fantastic! It's much more affordable than my usual product, and the performance is good too, making it incredibly cost-effective. Cleansing effectiveness: In my case, I use oil-water-foam to remove makeup, so I use this cleansing water mainly for cleaning up any leftover makeup around the eyes and mouth. I didn't notice any major drawbacks. It removes eye makeup well when applied with a cotton swab and doesn't sting much. Derma-friendly: It claims to be low pH and derma-friendly, and it seems to work well when applied with a cotton pad and left on the skin. While it may not soothe like a mask, it seems good for reducing redness to some extent. Sebum removal: While I don't buy cleansing water specifically for sebum removal or pore tightening, if I had to point out a drawback, it would be that it doesn't help much with blackheads or pores! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 23, 2023
Incredibly gentle! It didn't irritate my skin at all. It stings a bit if it gets in your eyes, but that's probably true for most products. Usually, if I don't apply skincare immediately after cleansing, my skin feels tight, but with this product, it felt comfortable without any tightness. I used it for about a week without double cleansing, and I didn't experience any blemishes or worsening of my skin condition. In fact, my skin felt smoother to the touch, as if the texture had improved. I was hoping for some improvement in sebum and blackheads, but it didn't have much effect - maybe my T-zone is particularly oily. It doesn't completely remove strong point makeup like mascara on its own, so I needed to double cleanse for that. It even removes waterproof sunscreen effectively! However, for areas with excessive oil, use a second cleanser to prevent blackheads!
