It applies thinly and looks natural. The coverage is also good! For those with oily skin, after a little while, oil starts to come through when using this cushion... - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinMay 27, 2025
Adherence: Applies thinly and has good coverage Color: Not overly bright and no pink undertones, looks natural and nice Longevity: Excellent, with no darkening! It's quite matte, so without a solid skincare base, it can feel dry Therefore, it might be challenging to use in winter. I'm using it as a summer cushion, but it tends to settle into pores... Those with poreless skin might be satisfied, but I won't be repurchasing! This review highlights the product's good adherence and natural color, but notes issues with dryness and pore-settling for certain skin types. It suggests the cushion is better suited for summer use and those without visible pores. - Hwahae UserOily SkinApr 12, 2025
As someone with oily skin, I'm quite particular about my base makeup choices. The Hince Second Skin Mesh Matte Cushion really impressed me with how thinly it applies. It feels like it melds with my skin without any thickness, avoiding that suffocating sensation. I love how it creates a natural look, as if it's just evening out my complexion. I didn't find the coverage to be too heavy, which I actually prefer. Rather than completely masking blemishes or redness, it seems to enhance the natural texture of the skin. This makes it perfect for those who enjoy a more natural, 'no-makeup' makeup look. It's easy to apply evenly without clumping or spreading unevenly, and it holds up well over time without breaking down. What's particularly impressive is that even on my oily skin, it doesn't lift or gather in oily patches. It's become my go-to for everyday wear. I did notice a very slight darkening effect, so those who prefer a lighter tone might want to keep that in mind. Also, the case feels a bit cheap, which is a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinMar 18, 2025
I have combination dehydrated skin that tends to get dry in fall and winter. I thought it would be fine since it's described as semi-matte, but it's actually quite drying for me. The photo was taken 3 hours after applying makeup. I'll probably use this as a summer foundation instead. While many cushions these days tend to be lightweight, this one seems best suited for those with already good skin. It covers redness well, but doesn't do a great job concealing large pores or uneven texture. It might work well for touch-ups throughout the day. I use shade 22-23, which gives a natural, brightening effect. There's a bit of darkening... It's not severe, but it's slightly noticeable and bothersome. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 30, 2025
It absorbs well in a thin layer without caking, which is great. Perfect for a natural everyday makeup look! It's whiter than expected, so for those with darker skin like mine, it's quite noticeable that you're wearing makeup. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinDec 30, 2024
✅ The color might be divisive, but for a Yellowbase enthusiast like me, it's absolutely gorgeous... My skin tends to have uneven redness, but this yellowish tone covers it beautifully while looking natural. I love it. The color is subdued and slightly darker than other cushions, which is perfect. I highly recommend this to those who prefer a calm Yellowbase and have a tricky skin tone between 21-22, where typical 21 cushions are too light and 23 too dark. I absolutely adored it. ✅ It does an excellent job covering blackheads and pores on my nose and T-zone, including some large pores. While it may not completely conceal the largest pores, it covers them well enough to meet my standards. ✅ Being a mesh cushion, it dispenses quite a bit of product onto the puff, so controlling the amount is crucial. For the initial application, adjust the quantity on the lid and apply it in downward strokes for a beautifully thin layer. At this stage, the coverage is light, but you can build it up by repeating the process - adjusting the amount and gently patting it on. I find that going beyond this makes it feel thick and heavy, so I usually stop after the second layer. ❌ It tends to emphasize dead skin cells, so for satisfactory use, proper exfoliation is necessary. ❌ The puff picks up a lot of product at once, so adjusting the amount on the lid is essential. ❌ There is some darkening, but it wasn't significant enough to bother me personally. For the initial application, rather than patting it on after adjusting the amount, applying it in downward strokes results in a thinner and more beautiful finish. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 7, 2024
The coverage is great. I recently had some blemishes on my chin, and this really conceals them well. But it looks natural! The color seems to have a slight yellow undertone. As someone with yellow undertones, I often find that products advertised as 'ivory' or 'beautiful' shades can look off on my face, but this one doesn't, which I love. Maybe it's because I bought the special edition cushion? The case is so pretty, I'm really pleased with it. In summer... when you sweat a lot, it can look like you've been splashed with water. It gets really problematic, with dots appearing all over your face, making it look like the makeup is clogging every pore. After trying it in various conditions, I noticed this happens when you sweat from the heat. So, I'm actually using it a lot now that it's cooled down. In summer, I only used it on days when I planned to be under air conditioning all day. It seems to be a cushion that's sensitive to conditions, so I recommend checking how it works for you! I don't have any special tips, but if you pat it on, it fills in the pores amazingly well. Use short, snappy wrist movements to pat it on, and it really gets into the pores on your nose. In photos, it makes your pores look practically non-existent. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSep 15, 2024
The mesh applicator makes it easy to control the amount, and it applies thinly for a natural, beautiful skin finish. I love it! It's tricky to control the amount when you first use it, and since it applies thinly, you need to layer it on quite a bit for fuller coverage, which can be a hassle. Gently massage it in and then pat to set - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 5, 2024
I love how it provides great coverage even with a small amount! The natural color is really appealing. It's tricky to control the amount. You really need to use just a tiny bit, so beginners might need some practice. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 1, 2024
It does a great job of covering pores, making my skin look fantastic! The color blends naturally and suits me well. Since I have oily skin, it tends to get shiny faster than a completely matte product would!
