The product was wrapped in bubble wrap with an information leaflet inside. Thanks to this, I received the product in perfect condition. * Design The design is simple, and the pump height is not as tall compared to other products. This might make multiple pumps a bit slow and slightly inconvenient. However, one pump is usually enough for a single use, so it's not a big issue. * Texture While it does run a bit, it's slightly thick, so it takes some time to dissolve makeup when massaging it on the face. * Scent Initially, it has a clean and pleasant soap and floral scent. However, when you massage the product on your face, there's a slight chemical or artificial scent, which isn't great. * Cleansing It removes light makeup and base makeup well, but mascara and lip tints tend to leave some residue. It's best to pre-dissolve color makeup before using this cleanser. * Hydration Probably due to the oil ingredients, it leaves the skin feeling moisturized after cleansing. It's not sticky or slippery, but fresh and hydrating, which would be great for those with dry skin.
Cons* Scent When massaging it on the skin, there's a bit of an artificial chemical scent, which could use some improvement. It would be better if they removed the fragrance entirely or stuck with a floral scent!
TipI recommend following up with a regular foam cleanser after using this for an even cleaner feeling.

It's a cream with a high oil content, but it's not as thick as an oil balm. Instead, it has a creamy texture. The big advantage is its convenience. Unlike cleansing balms that you need to scoop out and can feel a bit grainy before they touch your skin, this one feels just like applying regular skincare. This means less friction on your skin. Despite that, it's still effective enough for cleansing, making it suitable for a first cleanse after makeup. (Personally, I'm never satisfied with cleansing waters for post-makeup cleansing.)
ConsIt has that signature d'Alba fragrance. It's not that I dislike fragranced products, but I'm personally not a fan of the d'Alba scent. Also, the bottle design looks a bit dated - it has a bit of a 'mom's cosmetics' vibe. Maybe they could tone down the gold color a bit?
TipAs someone with oily pores on my nose, I sometimes use cleansing oil just on my nose and T-zone during my morning cleanse. The d'Alba product is perfect for this - it works without any irritation!

It was my first time trying a cleansing cream, and the texture was quite intriguing. When you apply a small amount to your dry hands and massage it onto your face, it initially feels quite stiff, making you wonder if it's actually cleansing properly. But here's the magic: if you add a bit of water to your fingertips and continue massaging, the cream transforms into an oil-like consistency. Personally, I found this more effective at cleansing than using a regular cleansing oil. Despite having super sensitive skin, I haven't experienced any blemishes so far. Once emulsified with water, this cleanser effectively removed even mascara and heavy eye makeup! Looking at the photo I took after about 7 uses, you can barely tell I've used any - it seems to use less product than oils, which means it'll last longer. That's great!
ConsIf I had to pick a downside, it would be the scent... it smells like old-fashioned cosmetics. I tried using it to remove lip products, but even after rinsing with water, the smell lingered on my lips. I'd recommend using a dedicated lip remover for that!
TipWhile it cleanses well, the cream's moisturizing properties seem to leave a slightly slippery feeling on the skin even after thorough rinsing. If this bothers you, you could follow up with a gentle cleansing foam for that squeaky-clean finish.

While it struggled with heavy eye makeup, I didn't find it inconvenient since I usually only wear sunscreen, eyebrow makeup, and tint. What I really appreciated was that unlike regular cleansing oils that require a second cleanse with soap or foam to remove that characteristic slippery residue, this product foams up during emulsification, leaving a clean finish as if I'd used a foam cleanser. That was a big plus for me. Cleansing tissues felt too abrasive on my skin, and using oil every time was a hassle with the necessary double cleanse. This product, however, gets the job done in one step, making it perfect for daily use! I love how convenient it is.
ConsTo me, it had a scent reminiscent of old-fashioned cosmetics... I felt a bit put off when I first used it. I've gotten used to it now, but personally, I really dislike the fragrance. Also, the texture feels a bit too thick - it's hard to pump out, and it definitely feels more resistant than oil when rolling it on your face. Perhaps because of this, I didn't see much effect on blackhead removal. I'm still using a different cleansing oil for managing my blackheads. This disappointment is why I deducted one star.

This made it less irritating on my skin, which I appreciated. Plus, it lathers up, giving you that satisfying clean feeling! Usually, after using oil or cream cleansers, I'd feel a residual oiliness that made me reach for a foam cleanser as a second step. But with this, you only need water to create a lather, making the routine simpler and more refreshing! ✔️ Cleansing effectiveness It does a great job removing light makeup like sunscreen and cushion foundation!
Cons✔️ Cleansing effectiveness It struggles with removing color cosmetics like mascara, tint, and eyeliner. You'll definitely need to use a separate lip and eye makeup remover before this cleanser for a thorough double cleanse. ✔️ Fragrance While I initially liked the scent when I tested it on the back of my hand, it felt overwhelming when I used it on my face. It reminds me of the artificial scent you'd encounter in a department store perfume section.
TipThis cleanser seems perfect for days when you're wearing minimal makeup - just sunscreen and a bit of lip color, rather than a full face of makeup!

Texture It has a rich, creamy texture that feels substantial when squeezed onto your hand. Even when rubbed between dry hands, it produces some lather, and when water is added, it transforms completely into a foam cleanser. 2. Application Initially, it feels heavy, but as you massage it in, it becomes a cleansing foam that allows for a gentle face wash. After cleansing, my skin felt moisturized and comfortable. 3. Ingredients One of the reasons I love d'Alba is for its great ingredients. This product is also gentle, so even with my sensitive-prone skin, I was able to use it without issues. 4. Cleansing Effectiveness Since I don't typically wear makeup, I can't speak to its exact cleansing power. However, based on other reviews, it seems to be on the milder side in terms of cleansing strength.
ConsI didn't have any particular complaints, except I wish the fragrance was different. I'm extremely sensitive to smells, and this has a unisex, heavy scent reminiscent of men's skincare products. It's been bothering me since I first tried the sample. While some people might enjoy this type of fragrance, and others may not be particularly sensitive to scents, I think it could be a love-it-or-hate-it situation.
TipSince it's on the heavier side, it might be best to create a lather in your hands first before applying, as you would with other similar products.

Usually, I do a double cleanse with oil and foam, but it was such a hassle to use two products (I'll admit, sometimes I'd skip cleansing altogether... oops!). This product combines oil and cleanser functions, so I've been eager to try it! I'm already a fan of d'Alba products - I've used their mist and sunscreen, which are rich in hydration and keep my skin moisturized for a long time. This cleanser definitely passes the test too! The texture is quite runny, but when you massage it on your face, it turns into a slightly cloudy emulsion. After rinsing with water, your skin feels hydrated. What's amazing is how well it cleanses despite being so gentle!
ConsIf you're sensitive to fragrances, the scent might bother you at first. However, once you get used to it, it just smells like a typical cosmetic product.
TipWhile it's great to be able to do a double cleanse in one step, you need to pay extra attention during the emulsification process to ensure a thorough cleanse!

The finish definitely leaves your skin feeling moisturized. It's a nourishing foam cleanser that's great to use, and its portability makes it perfect for business trips. I've been using it regularly when I travel.
ConsIt doesn't seem to perform well as a cleansing oil. It's just a moisturizing foam cleanser... It has that classic 'mom's cosmetics' scent.

Hydration: As someone with extremely dry skin, I usually experience intense tightness after cleansing. However, this product left my skin feeling less parched, which I really appreciated. Cleansing effectiveness: It removes everything, including eyeliner and mascara! Though for a thorough cleanse, I still used a separate eye makeup remover.
ConsScent: The fragrance was overwhelmingly strong. Even after rinsing, the scent lingered longer than expected.
TipI found that applying it to dry skin first, then gradually adding water to create a lather while washing, gave me the sensation of sebum being progressively removed.

First, the positives: As someone with dry skin, I highly recommend this product for its moisturizing cleansing effect!
ConsWhile there don't seem to be any functional issues, if I had to point out one thing, the scent is a bit strong and reminds me of old-fashioned cosmetics. It would be better if they toned down the fragrance a bit!
TipIf you work up a lather with lukewarm water and rinse after a short while, your skin feels incredibly hydrated
