My skin type: Extremely oily, sensitive (stings with most products), large pores I was selected as a Hwahae Tester and here's my review after a week of use! My usual skincare routine includes Hera Hyaluronic Skin Essence and Atobarrier Cream, with occasional use of Dr.G Red Blemish Soothing Cream. For this Hwahae Tester review, I replaced my Atobarrier Cream with this product for a week! Firstly, what I loved most was the ingredients. With hardly any harmful ingredients and being a vegan product, I felt it was perfect for my sensitive skin. I didn't experience any blemishes or increased oil production while using it. The packaging is great. I love that the lid and container are separate, and you need to press to dispense the product! It's easy to control the amount, and not too much comes out at once. However, it might be tricky to scrape out the last bits later? Fresh finish When first applied, there's a very slight sheen? But it absorbs quickly, leaving a fresh finish. Hydration? I only changed one product in my routine, but I felt more tightness than usual. For me, an oily skin type, to feel tightness might indicate a lack of hydration... That's what I think. My mother also tried it once and said that while it felt moisturizing, her skin felt tight afterwards. So, regrettably, I had to deduct one star! Oil content It's not overly oily, but when first applied, there's a noticeable... oiliness. It's not severe! But those seeking 100% freshness might be surprised at first. However, as you use it, you don't really notice the oiliness! But there is some oil content. It doesn't make your skin look greasy though. Just keep in mind that I'm quite sensitive. If you apply your toner, moisturizer, serum, etc... and build a solid base before using this product, you'll wake up to soft, smooth skin the next day! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 8, 2023
📌 My Skin Type I experience facial heat and cheek redness. My skin tends to become red, itchy, or tingly when exposed to incompatible ingredients or irritants. I have combination dehydrated skin. 📌 Texture A soft, white cream. 📌 Overall Positive Review 1. No blemishes We always worry when trying something new, don't we? I was quite concerned, but surprisingly, I hardly got any blemishes! It's gentle and I'm satisfied! 2. Absorption To be honest, when I first applied it on my arm, it spread so well that I worried it might be an overly oily product. But it's not excessively rich - it just absorbs so well that I momentarily questioned its oil content! 3. Packaging I've always used tube packaging for hygiene reasons, avoiding jars. Using this pump-type container is so convenient. I think it's my first time seeing a cream in a pump bottle, which is quite interesting. +++Update 2024.3.3. I've finally finished it! When it got a bit dry, I returned to my original routine (toner pad - hyaluronic acid ampoule - moisturizer - cica balm). After running out of cica balm and finding the moisturizer alone insufficient, I applied this. It seems perfect for the current seasonal transition!! Adding one more star. For reference, 'current' here means mid to late February, which has been surprisingly warm. 📌 Dryness Well, for a moisturizing cream, it lacks hydration... I'm not sure if it's not moisturizing well or if it's just lacking in hydration. The absorption is fine, but later my eye area feels a bit dry and tight. I managed to improve this by applying more of the Wellage hyaluronic acid ampoule in the previous step. (I guess it's because I used to use a hyaluronic acid cream before this one.) Using this alone in winter might be challenging. It seems you need to apply hydration and a moisturizing barrier separately. Since I'm already doing that, it doesn't bother me much. +++Update 2024.3.3. It might be a bit dry for the coldest part of winter, but it's fine around mid to late February!! It's best to adjust usage according to the season. When you're almost finished with the product, the pump might get stuck and not come up well when pressed. Gently coax it up, then pump, and you can get about 2-3 more uses! Here's proof of my empty container! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 8, 2023
I suffer from severe deep dryness. Lately, no matter what I apply, my skin feels parched. What I liked about this cream is that it contains cactus extract instead of purified water as the main ingredient. Despite being a cream, it feels incredibly lightweight, making it suitable even for summer use. You can layer it multiple times without any stickiness. It leans more towards the refreshing side rather than being rich in texture. For those with dry skin or combination dehydrated skin with severe deep dryness like mine, this cream alone might not feel sufficient. I mix it with oil when applying.
