I usually finish my skincare routine with a moisturizer and then this cream. I'm thrilled that it doesn't cause any blemishes on my super sensitive skin. What's more, when I wake up, my skin texture feels improved, and the hydration lasts even through my workday. When choosing creams, I often had to compromise between preventing blemishes and combating dryness, but this cream seems to strike the perfect balance. Despite its high hydration power, it absorbs well without feeling heavy. I typically don't wear makeup, but when I finish with this cream and just add some lip color before work, my skin has that coveted Inner Glow look, making it appear healthier. Even when I apply sunscreen, which usually dries out my skin and requires an extra layer of moisturizer, this cream provides just the right amount of hydration on its own. There's not really anything I dislike about it. Considering hygiene, I think it's better to stock up on several smaller containers rather than one large one. For those with dry skin, you can layer it multiple times or mix it with a serum when you're feeling extra dry. In summer, using it alone should suffice. If you have oily skin, you might want to apply a smaller amount. If you're experiencing blemishes after application, try using it as a final step after your regular moisturizer. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 10, 2024
I took this with me on a trip and it was fantastic! I packed several samples, but ended up using only this one. The hotel was incredibly dry, but after applying this product before bed, I didn't feel any dryness at all. It works hard to keep skin hydrated! I can't think of any downsides while using this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 23, 2024
I was worried the cream might be heavy, but I'm pleasantly surprised by its lightweight and refreshing texture. It has just the right amount of richness for good hydration, and I love that it's fragrance-free. There's nothing particularly disappointing about this product. It's a solid, reliable choice for everyday use. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 18, 2024
It absorbs well and isn't sticky! The hydration is pretty good too. It might not provide enough moisture for very dry skin. I'd recommend using it at night rather than before applying makeup. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 16, 2023
Skin type: Dry / Sensitive skin As my dry skin gets even drier in winter, I was looking for a product that could tackle deep dryness. That's when I heard about the Comforting Cream being a winner, so I decided to give it a try! I didn't use it before makeup, but applied it before bed. When I woke up the next morning, my skin wasn't dry at all, and my makeup went on smoothly, so I'm really satisfied with it. Also, I love that it comes in a pump bottle - it's so clean and convenient. So far, I haven't found anything to complain about. I'm sure if I use it longer, I might find at least one thing, but for now, there's nothing! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 13, 2023
As someone with combination skin - dry on the forehead and oily on the cheeks - and super sensitive skin that reacts badly to the wrong products, I'm very careful about choosing skincare with minimal harmful ingredients. In winter, even expensive creams and layers of moisturizer left my forehead dry by morning. But this creates a hydration barrier that keeps skin moisturized until the next day. Best of all, while other gentle creams stung my eye area, I can apply this liberally around my eyes with no irritation. It truly seems like a gentle product. The texture feels like a moisturizer with a slight film - either hydrating or slightly rich. Fortunately, it doesn't contain pore-clogging silicones. The scent is subtle and inoffensive - I barely noticed it at first. After a few days of use, my cheeks feel baby-soft and my dry forehead has developed a protective layer that should help prevent wrinkles. This is likely due to the hyaluronic acid. Since it's supposed to strengthen the skin barrier, I think continued use will improve my skin. I'll update my review after finishing the whole jar. The third photo shows the hydrating film or rich texture. But it doesn't look greasy on the face - that shine is just on my hand to demonstrate the texture in the light. This might work better for dry or normal skin types, but even oily skin needs hydration, so it's worth trying a sample first if you have oily skin. It's even more hydrating if you layer a functional essence and hydrating essence underneath this cream. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinDec 13, 2023
First off, the texture is fantastic! Being a cream, it definitely provides great hydration and absorbs into the skin beautifully. I'm also satisfied that it comes with a lid, which helps keep it relatively clean. A little goes a long way, and it spreads easily. I've used creams that were either too thick or slightly runny, which I didn't like, but this one doesn't run. It's more moisturizing than heavy, absorbs well into the skin, and feels light enough to use before makeup without any issues. I'm really impressed! The only downside is... well, just one thing - the scent! I prefer either unscented products or those with a subtle fragrance. This one has a sort of rubber-like smell? It's not really a scent I'm fond of, unfortunately. That's why I had to take off one star. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 10, 2023
After applying toner, I only used this product before bed, and my skin felt incredibly soft during my morning cleanse. Even a thin layer solves deep dryness. It's a gentle product, and my boyfriend uses it too - it seems to work well even for slightly atopic skin. It has a slightly rich texture, so you might need to adjust the amount for daily use. After evening cleansing, apply a thicker layer, wait a few minutes, then gently press with a tissue before sleeping. The next day, your skin will feel as plump as if you've done a mask treatment. - Hwahae UserOily SkinDec 9, 2023
My skin type is oily, but it quickly becomes dry and rough right after cleansing, so I need to apply skincare immediately. This cream provides just the right amount of hydration without leaving an oily residue, which I absolutely love! It has a slightly rich texture but spreads smoothly, giving a noticeable moisturizing effect. Being fragrance-free, it's also non-irritating. The amount is quite small, so it's not entirely satisfying considering the price. The dispensing part of the container doesn't seem very sturdy. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 8, 2023
I have extremely dry, stress-induced/hormonal acne-prone sensitive skin, especially in winter. These days, when everything I apply feels dry, even after a thorough morning skincare routine, it's the season where the air seems to steal all the moisture. I had the opportunity to try the Illiyoon cream and here's my review: - Smooth application/absorption/glow You can feel the silky texture, excellent absorption, and a finish that leaves a subtle glow. If I had to choose, it's slightly more on the rich side for a moisturizer, with a bit more oil than water content. It seems to provide good hydration without affecting blemishes. On the first day of use, I experienced an instant transformation with baby-soft skin. Though the dramatic effect lessened as my skin adapted, it's still a cream I want to keep applying! - No irritation/fragrance-free I have narrow, deep pores that tend to develop stubborn, hard-to-extract blemishes when my oil-moisture balance is off. However, I didn't experience any new breakouts, and it was gentle on existing blemishes. There's barely any cooling effect when applying - it's gentleness personified. - Fresh lime-colored airless container (right up my alley) I love the hygienic airless container that prevents oxidation. I often start using new moisturizers with a spatula but end up dipping my fingers in. With this, I feel I can use it fresh till the end. The packaging is simple and refreshing. The price point is a bit high for a 50ml size. You can't see how much product is left in the container. For dry skin in winter, it's not quite enough to use alone after toner. It pairs well with a watery, non-viscous toner. It feels like this cream doesn't block the absorption path of other products. For extremely dry skin, I apply a layer all over, then add an extra layer on cheeks and around the mouth, topped with another moisturizer. This definitely improves lasting hydration, reduces makeup flaking, and helps makeup last longer.
