This product is perfect for dry skin, providing powerful hydration without feeling heavy. It's not oily, but you can feel a thick protective moisture barrier. The texture is slightly rich. After applying this and layering foundation, I noticed my face was less flaky and the makeup lasted longer. I think I'll be using this all winter long. This cream might be a bit heavy for normal or oily skin types. The thick moisture barrier is both a pro and a con. It can potentially feel a bit suffocating. While it's definitely not oily, those who are prone to blemishes when their pores get clogged should avoid this product. For those with combination skin who experience dryness in winter, this would work great when applied partially to areas that tend to get flaky. I'd recommend this cream to anyone who finds Vaseline too heavy or oily, and worries about their base makeup pilling. It provides the moisturizing benefits without the greasy feel. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 5, 2023
I've always been interested in barrier-strengthening creams, and lately, with the weather getting colder and drier, plus constantly being under the heater, my skin was feeling more parched and dehydrated. When I heard this product 'strengthens the skin barrier with just one use', I was intrigued to see if it really worked that quickly, so I decided to try it out! The product contains ingredients like ceramides, panthenol, peptides, and hyaluronic acid - all well-known for their barrier-strengthening properties. This made me even more excited to try it! 💙 Texture and Feel 💙 After cleansing and applying toner, I used two pumps of this cream. The next day, my skin felt hydrated and smooth, without any dryness. What I love in a good barrier cream is that feeling of 'my skin seems firmer' and 'my skin feels smooth and nourished, not dry and rough' - and this product definitely delivered! Comparing it to the Dr. X Cer-X cream, it felt similar but with less richness, which I preferred. While it felt more rich than hydrating, the level of richness wasn't overwhelming at all. 💙 Barrier Strengthening 💙 While I'm not a skincare expert, I have my own criteria for judging if a product has strengthened my skin barrier: 1. The next day after use, does my skin feel tight and dry after cleansing? 2. Does my skin feel elastic, soft, and deeply moisturized after using the product? Based on these (admittedly subjective) criteria, I was quite satisfied with this product. Plus, I usually need to apply a serum after my cream if I feel dry, but with this product, I didn't feel the need to! 💙 Scent 💙 It's fragrance-free, so there's no scent at all. 💙 Consistency 💙 It has a nice cream consistency that's not too thick. It absorbs well into the skin! There weren't many downsides, but if I had to mention a couple: ✔ Price While the product is good, the price is a bit steep, making it somewhat of a splurge purchase. However, the quality is there. Due to the price, my likelihood of repurchasing is about 4 out of 5 stars. ✔ Not Travel-Friendly Even though it's 50ml, I feel like they could have used a more portable container. That's a bit disappointing. ✔ Better for Winter than Summer While it worked well for me, those with oily skin might find it a bit heavy during summer months. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinDec 5, 2023
I have combination dehydrated skin that's super sensitive. Originally, I only used lightweight products, but as winter approached and I got older, my face became much drier. So I kept this in the bathroom and applied it right after showering. It spreads well with a nice hydrating feel. There was a slight richness, but when I adjusted the amount and spread it evenly, I hardly noticed any oiliness, which was great. With the leftover product, I applied it to my arms where I've been dealing with atopic dermatitis. After two weeks of suffering from itchiness, the atopic dermatitis calmed down! Usually, if I apply the wrong product, it stings terribly and makes things worse, but thanks to the good ingredients, it settled down and doesn't itch anymore! Also, the pump packaging is very hygienic and convenient to use. If you don't control the amount well, it might feel too rich and heavy on the skin. Applying this product right after the essence in a steamy bathroom post-shower helps reduce the feeling of richness! Before work or makeup, I apply it immediately after showering, and in the evening, I layer it on a bit thicker. This keeps my skin from feeling dry even in the morning! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 4, 2023
Texture: This cream has a good oil and moisture balance. It's rich but not sticky. It's hydrating without feeling heavy on the skin (I have combination dehydrated oily skin). Lately, I've been using the heater a lot, which dehydrates my skin and makes oil come up quickly, but with this cream, the balanced richness actually helps control oil production. It seems like a great cream for winter. Also, there's no strange smell or added fragrance, so it doesn't give me headaches. Love it! Container: It comes in an airless pump container, so you can use it hygienically✨. I really, really, really dislike jar-type containers where you have to scoop out the product (it's such a hassle to sanitize spatulas). This packaging is truly excellent for hygiene. Overall, it seems great for 'winter' use. It's a cream that helps maintain a good oil and moisture balance, preventing your skin barrier from breaking down due to heaters or cold weather outside! The packaging is so simple, which I absolutely love. Using a pea-sized amount is fine, but if you have oily skin that gets greasy in summer, you might find it a bit heavy in hot weather. This product is suitable for 'dry' or 'damaged barrier' skin, but if you tend to get oily, you should only use a pea-sized amount! Although the oils in it don't clog pores, when your face gets greasy, it tends to attract dust and such. So it's more suited for really cold winter weather than summer.
