Great for soothing blemishes! When I apply a generous amount to inflamed acne before bed after completing my skincare routine, I wake up to find it calmed down! It works even better when used in combination with Centella asiatica soothing pads. You can definitely see a reduction in size and redness! It's particularly effective on deep, hard pimples rather than pus-filled ones. The quantity is less than expected... If you have widespread blemishes like me, rather than just occasional spots, be careful not to use too much too quickly! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 17, 2024
I used this along with the pads and my blemishes calmed down in just a few days. So good! I absolutely love it! There's nothing to complain about, except... the price is incredibly high. Please lower it! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 9, 2024
I was really struggling with stress due to whiteheads and pustular acne when I stumbled upon a TikTok ad for the PYCNOGENOL Centella Trouble Spot treatment. I decided to give it a try, and it was truly amazing! They claimed it would calm blemishes in just 6 hours, and it really seemed to work that fast. Even people around me noticed that my skin had improved significantly. I've already gone through three bottles of this stuff! Using the spot treatment alone might be a bit tricky to see quick results. I'd recommend pairing it with the PYCNOGENOL toner pads for better effectiveness. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 1, 2024
I saw great results in calming redness! When I apply it generously on inflamed blemishes before bed, I can see the soothing effect by morning. Nothing particularly bad, but you can't apply makeup over it! The product might slightly solidify and appear like dead skin cells. For better results, use minimal skincare on the area where you plan to apply this product. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMay 20, 2024
Lucky me, I was chosen to be part of The Hwahae Testers! My skin condition: Oily + acne-prone = My skin produces a lot of oil, and due to my late-night lifestyle, just when blemishes start to clear up, new ones pop up. Sigh... Is it effective for blemishes? While it's not miraculous, it does have a soothing effect! Existing blemishes don't magically disappear overnight, but I did notice a subtle calming effect that seems to reduce their appearance. With consistent use, it's a pretty decent product. Is the scent mild enough for sensitive noses? Absolutely! It's hard to describe... maybe a mix of medicinal and lemon? I saw some reviews mentioning a strong medicinal smell, but I didn't get that at all. Even those sensitive to fragrances should be fine with this one. Is the texture sticky? Rather than being sticky, it applies smoothly and seems to absorb well! When I applied it to the back of my hand, it dried surprisingly quickly. Any downsides? The price is a bit high for the texture and amount you get. The container is quite small, so you'll likely use it up quickly. The price makes me hesitate to stock up on it. Would I recommend it to others? If you're looking for a soothing effect, then yes! However, I found it worked better when mixed with my regular cream rather than used alone. Final thoughts: The price-to-quantity ratio is a bit disappointing - it's on the pricier side. While you won't see instant results, long-term use should provide a soothing effect. It's better suited as a night care product applied before bed, rather than as a base under makeup. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 20, 2024
I used this product when my chin was breaking out due to my period! Every night, I soothed my skin with mugwort toner and then applied this before bed. It really helped calm things down! It's amazing, truly! I'm not sure if it was the toner, this product, or my supplements, but there must have been some synergy. I love it! I didn't find any particular drawbacks while using this product. It's great! After calming your skin with a toner mask, applying this product works wonders - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMay 20, 2024
As someone with sensitive skin prone to occasional blemishes on my face and body, I've become a fan of spot treatments. The PYCAM Centella Trouble Spot gel has been a game-changer for me! Its translucent gel-like texture absorbs quickly, making it perfect for my morning routine. It dries fast, saving me time when getting dressed or applying makeup afterward. I'm impressed with how it calms smaller blemishes overnight. The gel's smooth application makes it a pleasure to use! While it works wonders on small facial blemishes, I found it less effective on larger, inflamed spots on my body compared to my previous products. For these, it took considerably longer to see results. As a workaround, I've been using PYCAM for smaller spots and my usual product for larger ones, switching to PYCAM once they've reduced in size. Other than that, I can't think of any significant drawbacks. As mentioned in the cons, it does take a bit longer to calm larger blemishes. However, it definitely helps prevent them from worsening if used consistently. It's particularly effective when applied right after extracting a blemish - the next day, there's usually no redness left! I'd recommend applying a thin layer after popping a pimple or when your skin feels irritated. The key is regular application for best results! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 19, 2024
I'm a fan of centella scents, so I really appreciated that this one smells fresh and natural, not artificial at all. But don't worry, it's not overpowering! As a spot treatment, I love that you can easily squeeze out just the right amount. The gel-like texture, rather than being thick and heavy, makes it easy to apply lightly. It felt soothing when I put it on after squeezing a blemish. While it might not work miracles for scars, it seems to prevent further breakouts. Unfortunately, when I developed a hard, swollen blemish, I applied this for four days straight and didn't notice any changes. It was disappointing to see that it didn't seem effective on newly forming inflammations. The formula can cause makeup to pill, so it's best to avoid using it before applying base makeup. For optimal results, try applying it in the evening or before bed. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 19, 2024
This is the product I've been most satisfied with among all The Hwahae Testers reviews! The day it arrived, I happened to get a pimple. It seems to work well on those hard, painful blemishes that are filled inside. If you apply a thick layer before bed, almost like you're placing it on top, the redness is significantly reduced by the next morning. Repeat this for a few days, and it noticeably fades! While it won't prevent scarring if you apply it after extracting, it works best when applied at the first sign of a painful blemish coming up. It has absolutely no effect on small, bumpy blemishes (it might be good for people who occasionally get larger pimples). Even if you apply it and let it dry before putting on makeup, it pills off like dead skin cells because of its gel texture. Since you can see results just by applying it at night, there's probably no need to use it during the day. Apply a generous amount before bed without extracting! I cut Dewytree cotton pads into smaller pieces, placed them on top, and slept like that. It didn't stain my pillow, added a cooling effect, and was great for soothing my skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 18, 2024
Among all the spot treatments I've used, including various pharmacy products, this one seems to be one of the most effective! It has a slightly opaque gel-cream texture and works best on freshly emerged red blemishes. When applied thinly before bed, it absorbs well, and by morning, the redness is noticeably calmed. However, if applied too thickly, it clumps up like jelly and falls off the skin. I'm not sure if this affects its efficacy, but I end up just peeling it off in the morning. Interestingly, it also seems to work well on folliculitis. Nothing! I find it quite effective, so I'm using it without any complaints.
