- The texture feels much lighter and less thick than typical ointments - It doesn't aggravate existing blemishes or cause new ones where applied - There's a subtle herbal scent, possibly from Centella, but it's not unpleasant (unlike the strong, peculiar smell of some Centella toners) - It's comforting to have this as an emergency spot treatment when you feel a big pimple coming on - Didn't see much effect on small bumps during the usage period, though I didn't experience any major blemishes to test it on - Slight pilling when applying sunscreen or foundation over it - For those dealing with small bumps, using AHA for dead skin cell removal and focusing on hydration might be more effective Recommend applying this long before makeup or the night before. It seems more suited for larger, inflamed pimples or emerging whiteheads rather than small bumps (appears to be designed specifically for bigger blemishes, not small bumps) - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 19, 2024
I'm a fan of centella scents, so I really appreciated that this one smells fresh and natural, not artificial at all. But don't worry, it's not overpowering! As a spot treatment, I love that you can easily squeeze out just the right amount. The gel-like texture, rather than being thick and heavy, makes it easy to apply lightly. It felt soothing when I put it on after squeezing a blemish. While it might not work miracles for scars, it seems to prevent further breakouts. Unfortunately, when I developed a hard, swollen blemish, I applied this for four days straight and didn't notice any changes. It was disappointing to see that it didn't seem effective on newly forming inflammations. The formula can cause makeup to pill, so it's best to avoid using it before applying base makeup. For optimal results, try applying it in the evening or before bed. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinMay 17, 2024
The case, formula, and volume make this product suitable for use as a spot treatment. Looking at the ingredients, I noticed it contains components that help soothe and repair the skin, so I tried applying it not only on acne-prone areas but also on keloid scars. Unlike some acne spot treatments that have a slightly oily silicone gel feel, this one has a lighter texture, similar to a hydrating moisturizer, which makes it great for applying over larger areas. Since it's a daily-use product, if the scent or texture doesn't suit you, you might be less inclined to use it regularly. However, that wasn't the case at all with the PYCAM Centella Trouble Spot treatment! I'd recommend this product not just for those with blemishes, but for anyone looking to soothe their skin after exposure to harsh sunlight or other irritants on hot days. If you plan to use it over larger areas like I did, it would be great if they offered a larger size option. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 8, 2024
✔️ Skin Type I have sensitive skin prone to small bumps and occasional blemishes. Previously, when using popular blemish spot treatments, my skin would turn red or feel tingly. Since those products were quite potent, I had been relying solely on acne patches. ✔️ Texture It has a gel-like consistency that's incredibly lightweight and absorbs thinly into the skin. You can't even tell it's there under makeup. I applied it before putting on acne patches, and once it dried, I added the patch - no pilling at all! ✔️ Effectiveness For a blemish spot treatment, effectiveness is key, and this works wonders on those hard, red pimples that pop up before your period. In just one day, the redness subsided and the bump went down. It even relieved that bruise-like pain! I could feel the inflammatory blemishes underneath the skin shrinking too. Given its gel texture, I worry it might run out quickly, so I wish the volume was larger. Also, since it absorbs so fast, it would be nice if there was a thicker cream from the same line that could be applied generously at night. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 7, 2024
As a blemish spot treatment, I thought I'd need to wait for a breakout to truly test its effectiveness. Lo and behold, a blemish appeared the very day it was delivered - talk about perfect timing! ✅ Product texture: It's a lightweight gel cream with a white tint that absorbs well. ✅ The lip balm-shaped tube is convenient for standing upright. ✅ User experience: I applied it only in the evenings from Tuesday to Friday on a firm, touchable blemish. Here's how it went: Day 1: Generously applied as the first step on the affected area. Day 2 AM: Slight improvement, but the blemish still felt firm. PM: Again, applied a thick layer first. Day 3 AM: Noticeably less firm, smaller, and much calmer. PM: Applied a thin layer this time. Day 4 AM: Redness completely gone, fully calmed down! As someone prone to blemishes, this product is a stress-reliever. A few days of use should do the trick! The quality ingredients clearly work fast and benefit the skin. The price is a bit steep... It's more expensive than most creams. Unless there's an urgent need to calm blemishes quickly, I might stick to using other cica products for a few days to manage breakouts (I've never used a separate spot treatment before, always relying on cica products for a few days when blemishes appear).
