Even without using a separate toner, the Silky Barrier Ampoule + Lotion alone leaves my skin feeling moisturized and healthy. While it may be a bit drying in the depths of winter, I think it would be a great option for use during the transitional seasons and summer. The product has a slightly viscous, translucent liquid texture that absorbs quickly without any stickiness, leaving a subtle dewy glow. Although I'm not sure if it significantly strengthens the skin barrier, the fact that it doesn't cause any breakouts is already a testament to its effectiveness. The sturdy cap and tube packaging are also hygienic and convenient for travel.
ConsPersonally, I prefer unscented products, so the fragrance was a bit disappointing. Intuitively, it's close to the smell of my mother's cosmetics, but the scent doesn't last long and dissipates quickly, which is fine.

When you tilt your hand, it flows down! The spreadability is smooth like nasal mucus when first applied, but it is quickly absorbed after a light patting. After absorption, it becomes soft and fluffy! It was easy to apply the next cosmetic product right away as it was quickly absorbed. * Recommended for oily skin types👍 The fragrance has a scent reminiscent of the old adult cosmetics your mother used to use when you were young. That distinctive 'mother's adult cosmetics' scent... However, once patted in and absorbed, the fragrance dissipates quickly and is not overpowering!! It really disappears faster than you'd expect, which is fine!
ConsThe largest part is that the fragrance is unique, so it may be liked or disliked by different people. However, I am using it well because the fragrance fades quickly and it reminds me of old memories.
TipI applied toner and lotion in between!🙋♀️ I immediately applied it right in the bathroom so that the moisture would not evaporate!💧 And since the formulation is relatively clear, I sometimes skipped the toner and just applied this alone!👍 Even though I'm on the drier side, the surface is velvety but the inside is moisturized, so I could use it alone without any tightness!🤗 (However, since it's a bit thin, those with dry skin should try using the lotion as well!)

No matter what is applied, the skin remains dry, and if a thick cream is not used, the skin feels tight and the eyes hurt all day. The skin is extremely sensitive and reacts poorly to products. The positive aspects are that although it was expected to be drying since it's not a hyaluronic acid ampoule, it is actually more moisturizing than the ampoule previously used. It's not a completely watery formula, but has a slight viscosity, and applying it only twice is not heavy. There was no acne breakout, which is unusual for this sensitive skin type - normally if a product doesn't suit, acne appears right away upon waking up, but that didn't happen. The fragrance is also not the typical middle-aged cosmetic smell, so there was no anxiety about it causing inflammatory acne.
ConsHonestly, I have some reservations about using it due to the fragrance. I feel like they might have used some undesirable ingredients, and I'm worried the fragrance could cause an allergic reaction. While the scent does fade over time after application, every time I use it, it has that typical middle-aged skin care smell, which I find off-putting.
TipLayering it thinly twice will make it moisturized.

I'm glad to have the opportunity to try a new brand's new ampoule. I had the chance to experience the Silky Barrier Serum Ampoule from the brand X-mira. To be honest, I was a bit surprised by the large 70ml size when I applied, as I'm used to ampoules in dropper or vacuum-sealed formats. But the tube packaging with an exposed nozzle is actually very convenient and easy to use. The dosage control is great, and I think it's an excellent product overall! Recently, I've been having some issues with my cleansing routine, leaving my face feeling irritated and itchy. But this ampoule has a soothing effect, which I'm really grateful for. The texture is less thick than a serum, but it absorbs quickly without any stickiness. The finish is refreshing. I believe the centella in the ingredients helps soothe the skin, and the moisturizing components alleviate the dryness, relieving the irritation and itchiness. During the 10-day trial period, I didn't experience any breakouts. I'd recommend this to those with sensitive skin or dehydration concerns.
ConsIf I had to choose, I'd say the fragrance, I suppose?? But it tends to dissipate quickly, and there may be some mixed opinions about it, haha.
TipSince it is for moisture charging, I am keeping it in the refrigerator and using it cool.

It feels a bit heavy, but when spread, it is quickly absorbed without any residue. Despite its good absorbency, it doesn't make the skin feel moisturized, but rather feels like it just disappears. Moisturizing effect: True to its name 'Silky Barrier' ampoule, it has a glossy finish right after application, but soon becomes velvety soft, like a silky layer has been added. Even though it's a basic skincare product, it feels like a primer has been applied, making the skin feel nice to the touch. Somehow, products with fermented ingredients often give an immediate illusion of improving skin condition. Personally, I felt the usage experience was similar to the Real Barrier Extreme Cream. Both products make the skin texture feel smoothed, like it's coated, but the deep moisture is lacking. Oiliness: As expected from the name, there is a lack of oil. The fast absorption and fresh feel would likely appeal to oily-skinned individuals, but it would be insufficient for dry skin as a night care product. Even when used as a base, it leaves a sense of dryness. It could be a good product for seasons when you want less oil or sebum coming through your base makeup, but I don't have a particular season in mind where I'd want less oil, so it's a bit ambiguous for me. The product itself is not necessarily poor, it's just that a more nourishing ampoule suits my skin type better.
ConsThis ampoule does not firmly lock in the moisturizing effects according to the harsh skin criteria. It seems like it would be more suitable to use when the weather gets hotter. Right now, I felt that it actually draws moisture away from my face after absorption. The powder fragrance from my mom's vanity is a bit old-fashioned. To put it positively, it has the aroma of high-end department store cosmetics. The scent does not linger for long and I did not find it overpowering, but those who dislike fragrances may not appreciate it.
TipIt is recommended to apply the hyaluronic acid ampoule between the cream step. If the base applied before the cream is too rich, the cream may not absorb well and may slide off or be pushed away. This product appropriately regulates the oil content, making it a good state to apply the cream.

There are ingredients that help the skin barrier, so it aids in skin condition recovery. It absorbs quickly due to its fluid consistency, making it pleasant to use. It seems to work well with other functional products. I did not experience any breakouts while using it. The 70ml size allows for layering and generous application.
ConsThe fragrance added does give off a slightly artificial scent, but it doesn't linger or become overpowering.
TipYou can use it together with retinol products to reduce irritation while using it.

Flaky skin has started appearing on the cheeks, forehead, temples, and chin. The cold snap and drop in temperature have made the skin rough and compromised the skin barrier, resulting in a dull complexion. No matter what product is applied, it does not seem to be absorbed into the skin and just bounces off... I started using the product immediately upon receiving it and have been using it for about 10 days. At first, for the first couple of days, I didn't notice much effect, and small bumps would appear and then subside after application, leaving a slightly sticky finish. However, I persisted in using the product diligently morning and night until the review deadline, determined to fulfill my role as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer. Wow, I'm really glad I stuck with it until the end. Perhaps it was because my skin barrier was so compromised, and it took some time for my skin to recover. From the third day onwards, the absorption improved significantly, and I could feel the texture of my skin improving. The sticky, unabsorbed finish transformed into a plump, bouncy feel. The fermented probiotics in the formula seem to have nourished the beneficial bacteria in my skin, helping to eliminate the problematic ones. My skin feels much healthier and more resilient now. The dullness has greatly diminished. It seems this product has been upgraded from the previous serum-type packaging with a dropper. The current pump dispenser is much more convenient and hygienic, as it avoids direct contact with air and potential contamination.
ConsThere were no disappointing aspects. I encountered the Hwahae that I needed to apply during the changing seasons when my skin barrier was compromised!! The fragrance has a subtle floral scent without any aversion, and it dissipates quickly, which I enjoy.
TipI've really only done things that have damaged my skin barrier. Frequently touching my face with my hands. Exposure to dry or cold air. Not drinking enough water. And so on.. There are many things I need to improve for the sake of my skin, but I'm going to try to work on them little by little. This time, I decided to try using this product and gradually make improvements, starting by not touching my face with my hands and drinking more water. (But I still can't seem to drink a lot of water all of a sudden, so I'll have to build up to it gradually.) And with that, I can see my skin getting visibly better! I'll attach a photo soon! The Daiso Kim Jung-mun Aloe Soothing Cream seemed to have an even greater effect on improving my skin barrier when I used it together!

First, when I took the product out of the package, the tube-type format was great in terms of hygiene, as I'm quite sensitive and have to consider a lot of things.🙇♀️ And what was quite interesting was that when you press down on the body, the ampoule comes out from the opening, which I found quite fascinating. I've never seen this type of packaging before, so every time I saw it, I was like "Ooh!"😆 It's nothing major, but the texture wasn't too thin or too thick, and the application was very smooth. It didn't clash with the other cosmetics I'm using, and it was quite moisturizing! I even tried not applying it in the morning and only at night on some days, and the nights I used the ampoule, my skin was definitely more hydrated and didn't feel tight. I'm really dry-skinned, but with this ampoule layered a couple times and then a cream on top, my skin stays so moisturized until the morning! This just reinforced that ampoules are a must-have for me. The scent is also subtle, so those who prefer scented products will likely enjoy it - it's just a very light cosmetic fragrance.
ConsIt seems like the product I received as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer was the one I was most disappointed with. First of all, the ingredients were quite disappointing, and I really wished it didn't have any added fragrance. To be completely honest, I used it for about 5 days and then had to stop because it caused an allergic reaction on my skin. 😭 My skin is already quite sensitive, and I don't tend to find many skincare products that work for me. And I generally don't prefer products with strong scents, even though this one wasn't overpowering. I just don't enjoy products with noticeable fragrance. Anyway, this was a very disappointing product for my skin, as it caused an allergic reaction. 😭

From the first application, I didn't feel any irritation. Even though I was struggling with a damaged skin barrier from improper cleansing, I continued using it. My skin barrier is naturally very weak and thin, and the dermatologist even recommended that I only use water-based cleansing, but the X Ampoule helped me recover relatively quickly. Probably because the moisture lasts for a long time, my skin didn't become inflamed, cracked, or peeled when I had a skin irritation. In fact, people couldn't even tell I had any trouble. At first, I thought it might dry out quickly since it felt a bit watery, but it absorbed quickly and the moisture lasted a long time, which surprised me. I will definitely buy and use it again when I run out. I recommend it.
ConsThe aroma was not overpowering, but it was a bit burdensome for me. It dissipates quickly and is not a strong scent.
TipThe amount is generous and slightly watery, making it perfect for using with devices. It's a tube type, not a dropper, so it's very convenient to use. When using the device, the radiance lasts all day long.
