As someone with sensitive combination dehydrated skin, I appreciate that while there's a slight richness, it doesn't cause dryness or blemishes. (Even without using a separate toner, just applying the Silky Barrier Ampoule + Emulsion keeps my skin hydrated.) It might be a bit dry in the depths of winter, but it should be perfect for seasonal changes through summer. The product is a translucent liquid with a slight viscosity. Once applied, it absorbs well without any stickiness, leaving a subtle inner glow. While I'm not sure if it's actually strengthening my skin barrier, the fact that it doesn't cause any blemishes is proof enough for me! I also love that the cap is sturdy, and the tube gets thinner towards the end, making it hygienic to use and very portable.
Cons- It has a scent. Personally, I prefer fragrance-free products, so the scent was a bit disappointing. If I had to describe it, it's close to the smell of 'mom's cosmetics', but it's not too strong and fades quickly, so it's tolerable.

It absorbs rapidly, making it easy to apply the next skincare product right away! * Recommended for those with oily skin - Scent: When first sniffed, it reminds me of the grown-up cosmetics my mom used when I was little! That distinctive mature fragrance... However, after patting it in and letting it absorb, the scent dissipates quickly and isn't overpowering at all!! It fades faster than expected, so it's quite alright!
ConsThe most significant drawback might be the unique scent, which could be hit or miss for different people. However, since the fragrance fades quickly and brings back nostalgic memories for me, I'm using it happily!
TipI applied it between my toner and emulsion! I kept it in the bathroom and applied it immediately to prevent moisture loss. Since the consistency is quite light, I sometimes skipped toner and used this alone! Even though I have dry skin, it left my skin feeling smooth on the surface while keeping it moisturized underneath, so I could use it alone without any tightness. (However, since it's quite thin, those with dry skin might want to use an emulsion along with it!)

However, incompatible skincare can lead to pustular acne. My skin feels dry no matter what I apply. Without a rich cream, it feels tight all day and even my eyes hurt. I have super sensitive skin - if a product doesn't suit me, I feel immediate irritation. Pros: Honestly, I expected it to be drying since it's not a hyaluronic acid ampoule. Surprisingly, it's more hydrating than my previous ampoule. It's not completely watery - it has a slight viscosity. Applying it twice doesn't feel heavy. No blemishes appeared. With my sensitive skin, incompatible products usually cause immediate tingling and overnight acne, but this didn't happen. Despite its old-fashioned, mature skincare scent, which made me worry about pustular acne, I didn't break out at all.
ConsThe fragrance is off-putting when applying. It makes me suspect harmful ingredients and I thought I might have an allergic reaction due to the fragrance. The scent does dissipate over time, but every application comes with that typical mature skin toner smell, which is quite unpleasant.
TipLayering it thinly twice provides good hydration.

It's wonderful to have another opportunity to try a new product from a fresh brand! I had the chance to experience the Silky Barrier Water Ampoule from the brand Exmira. I must admit, I was a bit shocked when I realized it was a generous 70ml - I hadn't paid close attention to the size when applying! Unlike the dropper or airless pump bottles I'm used to, this comes in a tube with an exposed nozzle. And you know what? I absolutely love it! It's so convenient to use and easy to control the amount - it's simply fantastic! Now, I've been having some issues lately due to improper cleansing - my face has been itchy and irritated. Since this product claimed to have a soothing effect, I decided to give it a try without hesitation. The texture is lighter than a runny essence, and I was worried it might feel sticky. However, it absorbed quickly without any stickiness, leaving my skin feeling fresh. Whether it's due to the centella asiatica extract known for its calming properties, or the moisturizing ingredients that combat dryness, I felt like the itching and irritation were noticeably reduced. It's hard to put into words, but I could feel the difference! Throughout the 10-day testing period, I used it without any issues or blemishes. I would definitely recommend this to those with sensitive skin, or anyone looking to address deep dryness!
ConsIf I had to pick something, I'd say the scent might be an issue. It does dissipate quickly, but it could be a matter of personal preference.
TipSince it's meant for hydration, I've been keeping it in the fridge and applying it cool for an extra refreshing effect.

It might feel a bit heavy at first, but once you spread it, it absorbs quickly without any residue. Moisturizing effect: True to its 'Silky Barrier' name, it gives an initial glow, but soon settles into a silky, matte finish, as if a thin veil has been placed on your skin. Despite being a skincare product, it feels like you've applied a primer, making your skin feel great to touch. For some reason, products with fermented ingredients often give this immediate illusion of improved skin... Personally, I found the feel similar to Real Barrier Extreme Cream. Both products make your skin texture smooth as if coated, but lack deep hydration. Oiliness: As expected from the name, it's not very rich. It absorbs very quickly and feels fresh, which oily skin types might appreciate. However, it's not enough for dry skin's night care. Even when used before makeup, you can feel some deep dryness. It seems like a product that would work well in seasons when you want less oil or sebum from your skincare, but for me, there's no season when I don't want some oil... So it's a bit ambiguous for me right now. It's not that the product itself is bad, it's just that serums with more nourishment suit my skin type better.
Cons⚠️ For extremely dry skin, this isn't a serum that provides intense hydration. It might be more suitable when the weather gets warmer. Right now, I felt like it actually drew moisture away from my face after absorption. ⚠️ It has a somewhat old-fashioned powder scent, like from your mother's vanity. To put it nicely, it's like the scent of high-end department store cosmetics. The fragrance dissipates quickly so it doesn't feel overpowering, but those who dislike fragrances might not appreciate it.
TipFor dry skin, I recommend using this between a hyaluronic acid serum and cream steps. If your base products before cream are too rich, the cream might not absorb well and could pill. This product helps balance the oil, creating an ideal state for cream absorption.

Cons- Contains added fragrance, giving it a slightly artificial scent, though it's neither long-lasting nor overpowering
TipThis would work well with retinol products, potentially reducing irritation when used together

The unexpected cold spells and chilly winds made my skin rough, breaking down its barrier and leaving it looking dull. It felt like nothing I applied was absorbing properly, just bouncing off the surface... sigh. I started using this product as soon as I received it and have been using it for about 10 days now. ✅ Review: For the first couple of days, I wasn't sure about its effectiveness. I got some small blemishes that would quickly subside if I popped them, and the finish felt a bit sticky, which was disappointing. However, I decided to keep using it consistently morning and night until the review deadline, fulfilling my duty as one of The Hwahae Testers. Wow... I'm so glad I didn't stop midway and used it until the end. Maybe my skin was just adjusting at first, or perhaps it was working hard to repair my damaged skin barrier? From the third day onwards, the absorption improved dramatically. I could feel a noticeable difference in my skin texture. The sticky feeling changed to a firmer, more elastic sensation, and my skin felt plump and nourished from within. Perhaps it's due to the fermented probiotics in the product? It feels like beneficial bacteria have penetrated deep into my skin, eliminating harmful bacteria. It seems to have greatly improved my skin health. My skin truly feels healthier, much firmer, and the dullness has significantly reduced. ➕ Has this product been upgraded? It seems to have changed from a dropper-type serum to its current form, which I think is a great improvement. Honestly, I was a bit concerned about droppers potentially allowing bacteria to enter the bottle when exposed to air. This squeeze-type packaging is not only more convenient but also more hygienic in my opinion.
ConsThere's nothing I disliked about this product. I've found my holy grail item for the changing seasons and when my skin barrier is compromised! The scent is also pleasant - a subtle floral fragrance that quickly dissipates, which I appreciate.
TipI've been guilty of many habits that damage the skin barrier: frequently touching my face, exposing it to dry or cold winds, not drinking enough water, and so on. While there are many things I need to improve for my skin's sake, I'm trying to make gradual efforts. While using this product, I decided to start with small changes like not touching my face and drinking more water (though it's still hard to suddenly drink a lot more water... I'll have to increase it gradually). As a result, my skin is visibly improving! I'll attach photos soon! I found that using this product along with Daiso's Jeongmoon Aloe Soothing Cream seemed to enhance the barrier improvement effect even more!

Here's my Hwahae Testers review, a day late. First off, when I initially took out the product, I was really impressed with its tube-type packaging - it's super hygienic, which is a big plus for someone with sensitive skin like me who has to consider many factors. What's interesting is that when you squeeze the body, you can see the ampoule coming out at the opening (?). I found this fascinating and would go 'Ooh!' every time I saw it - it's not a big deal, but I'd never seen this type of container before. The texture is neither too runny nor too thick, and it applies incredibly smoothly. It didn't pill when used with my other skincare products and felt very hydrating! To test it thoroughly, I tried using it only in the evenings on some days, skipping the morning application. On those nights when I applied the ampoule, my skin definitely felt more hydrated and there was no deep dryness. I have extremely dry skin, but when I layer this ampoule twice and follow up with a cream, my skin stays moisturized until morning! This experience has reinforced how essential ampoules are in a skincare routine. The scent is subtle - those who prefer fragranced products might enjoy it. It's just a very mild, typical skincare product scent.
ConsTo be completely honest, this product left me with the most disappointments among all the Hwahae Testers items I've won. Firstly, I found the ingredients quite disappointing, and I really wish it didn't contain fragrance. I'll be frank - after using it for about 5 days, I had to stop due to an allergic reaction on my skin. My skin is extremely sensitive, and I usually only tolerate a few products. Also, I generally don't prefer scented products. While the scent doesn't linger after application, I found it a bit bothersome during application. However, the fragrance itself isn't particularly strong - it's just that I personally don't prefer scented products. All in all, I'm disappointed that it caused an allergic reaction on my skin.

From the first application, I didn't feel any irritation. Even when I was struggling with a damaged skin barrier due to improper cleansing, I continued using it. My skin barrier is particularly weak and thin, to the point where dermatologists recommend I only cleanse with water due to my super sensitive skin. However, after using the X-mi Ampoule, my skin recovered relatively quickly. The long-lasting hydration prevented my skin from cracking or peeling when I had dermatitis. People couldn't even tell I was dealing with blemishes! Initially, I thought the slightly watery texture might lead to quick drying, but I was surprised by how fast it absorbs and how long the moisturizing effect lasts. I'll definitely repurchase when I run out. Highly recommended!
ConsWhile the scent isn't overpowering, it was a bit much for me personally. It dissipates quickly though, and it's not an intense fragrance.
TipThe product comes in a generous amount and has a slightly runny consistency, making it perfect for use with skincare devices. The tube packaging, rather than a dropper, makes it super convenient to use. When used with a device, it keeps your skin glowing all day long!
