It's a lightweight gel cream! It has granules that give a bursting, moisturizing sensation, and I like that I don't feel my face is oily the next morning when I use it for night care. Rather than disappointing, it's just an ordinary gel cream. It's not a sticky, smooth cream suitable for daily use, so I wouldn't recommend using it in the morning. - Hwahae UserOily SkinOct 6, 2024
It seems like a decent cream that's easy to use. There are these little granules that make you feel like your skin is getting an extra boost of hydration. It's lightweight and pleasant to apply. Since it comes in a jar, you're supposed to use a tool to scoop it out, which is a bit inconvenient. Of course, I ended up just using my fingers to apply it later on. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 15, 2024
The little beads in the gel cream seem to really hydrate the skin However, I can't really find any downsides for me personally - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 3, 2024
First off, the case is adorably round! I have extremely oily skin, but also suffer from dehydration that makes my face feel tight. Even in summer, if I don't properly care for my skin, it feels uncomfortable. This product, however, provides excellent hydration without evaporating quickly, which I found satisfying. The tiny particles inside dissolve well, so I didn't particularly feel any skin irritation. The price is quite high for the amount you get. Also, I sometimes experience sudden breakouts after using a product for about a month, so I'll need to keep an eye on this one... It might be a bit too dry for winter use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 2, 2024
The cream has tiny particles that dissolve quickly after a couple of rubs, helping to balance oil and moisture levels. It seems great for deep dryness. When I apply a small amount before makeup, it noticeably reduces skin heat. It's not thick - rather than a cream, it becomes more fluid like an essence when you rub it in. I love that it's not sticky! They include a spatula, but it's too big to fit inside the container, so you can only place it on top. I think it would have been better to make it slightly smaller so it could be stored in the lid for portability. After using it for two days, I mysteriously developed a couple of folliculitis spots, so I've stopped using it for about 10 days. Since it coincided with lack of sleep and my menstrual period, I'm not sure if it's because of me. I plan to try it again once things calm down. Apart from the folliculitis, it was good for hydration, absorption, pre-makeup prep, and deep dryness, so I'm a bit disappointed. The second photo is before use, the third is during use, and the fourth is the current state after discontinuing use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 1, 2024
I loved the gel cream's non-sticky texture and how quickly the particles absorbed into my skin without leaving any residue on my skin or peach fuzz. Another great thing about Laneige skincare is that you can refill and reuse the containers. The downside is... As someone with combination dehydrated skin that gets very dry in summer, it didn't help with my deep dryness at all, which seemed to make my skin produce more oil. While it absorbed quickly and didn't feel oily at first, over time, my skin became quite greasy. It might work better for those with combination or normal skin types during summer. I started using it daily, but later switched to using it only in the evenings as a sleeping mask alternative. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
1. The cooling effect is great. The texture feels a bit sticky and you might not expect it to be cooling, but when applied it feels refreshingly cool and moist. Storing it in the fridge would probably make it even more refreshing. 2. The gel beads dissolve well! It can be annoying when the beads don't melt easily, but these dissolve quickly with just a light massage, making it pleasant to use. 3. I was a bit worried since I have super sensitive skin and the texture is sticky, but when I used it, there were no blemishes and it was really nice! 1. The price is a bit high! 2. I think it would be better in a tube instead of a jar. The included stick is too small, and it's inconvenient to scoop out the sticky gel every time, so I end up not using it. A tube would be much more convenient and hygienic. I applied this gel cream on top of any sheet mask just as it was starting to dry, and let it absorb! Then when I removed the mask later, my skin felt less sticky, more hydrated, and really great~! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 28, 2024
First off, my skin type is so oily that my friends joke I'm from Saudi Arabia - it's that greasy! With summer making my skin even oilier, I used this cream from The Hwahae Testers as a night moisturizer. The texture is a gel cream with little beads, which was new to me! As I pressed it into my skin, I felt like these hydration capsules were bursting and sinking in. Despite my oily skin, this didn't make me greasy at all. Instead, after a thorough cleanse, it felt like it was just replenishing lost moisture. Since my skin barrier was compromised, I've realized how crucial it is. If you want gentle hydration, I highly recommend this! In conclusion, it's a definite pass! I now understand why it's called 'Water Bank' - you can feel the hydration instantly, and the next morning my skin felt like it had a good, moisturized sleep. I wish it came in a tube format too! It does come with a spatula, but personally, I prefer tube types. Of course, the Laneige container is super cute - it really makes you want to keep it! After an aloe mask, if you apply this like a moisture lock and get a good night's sleep, you won't envy any other cream out there! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
*Initial skin condition* My T-zone is oily while the rest of my face is slightly dry. I have skin that's prone to occasional blemishes. [Review after 8 days of use] Texture: It's a gel type mixed with little beads (cooling capsules)! Application: It applies smoothly with a moisturizing feel. The cooling capsules absorb well into the skin when massaged! Cooling effect: Being a gel type, it definitely has a great cooling effect. It's excellent for reducing heat and soothing irritated skin during summer. Packaging: I love that it's designed to be refillable! Blemishes: Throughout the usage period, my skin remained clear without any significant blemishes. Fragrance: It's disappointing that it contains artificial fragrance ingredients... - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
Texture: I love that the cream contains tiny particles that dissolve easily when gently massaged into the face without causing irritation! True to its cooling claim, you can feel the cooling effect as soon as you apply it, making it a great product for those with redness issues. Blemishes: As someone with severe redness, I'm a fan of 'cooling' products, and I've been using other Laneige products (like their Sleeping Mask). I was eager to try this one. My skin is sensitive and prone to redness and blemishes, often reacting badly to products that don't suit it. Fortunately, this product worked well for me! It didn't cause any blemishes, and while I haven't used it long enough to comment on blemish removal, its cooling properties seem to help with redness! Plus, I really appreciate that you can refill the product once it's finished! It feels like they're being environmentally conscious. As I mentioned, I'm also using another Laneige product (the Sleeping Mask), and I find that Laneige products are effective in reducing facial heat and are gentle on the skin! (Great for summer) However, I think this cream alone might not be enough for dry skin types! It seems more suitable for oily skin? (I have very dry skin.) Also, the quantity is a bit disappointing.
