It has a refreshing cooling effect and absorbs well. It's comfortable to use as it's not too sticky. The hydration level is definitely high. It provides so much hydration that your skin still feels dewy when you wake up. I'm not sure if it's because it doesn't absorb well. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJul 1, 2024
Texture and formula: It's a gel with capsules inside. At first, I wondered if these capsules would absorb or just sit on top of the skin. But as soon as it touched my skin, they melted away smoothly. It absorbs quickly, though it leaves a slightly sticky feeling on the skin. Cooling effect: My skin has been flushed from sun exposure lately, and when I applied this, it felt cool and somewhat soothing. Scent: It doesn't have an artificial fragrance. Instead, it has a slightly refreshing scent, perhaps like cucumber? Hydration: My skin didn't feel tight, and the lightweight formula seems perfect for summer use. The packaging requires you to turn the container and scoop out the product with a spatula. For someone like me who's reached the maximum level of laziness, even this feels too cumbersome. I think it would be more convenient if it came in a tube format. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
1. The cooling effect is great. The texture feels a bit sticky and you might not expect it to be cooling, but when applied it feels refreshingly cool and moist. Storing it in the fridge would probably make it even more refreshing. 2. The gel beads dissolve well! It can be annoying when the beads don't melt easily, but these dissolve quickly with just a light massage, making it pleasant to use. 3. I was a bit worried since I have super sensitive skin and the texture is sticky, but when I used it, there were no blemishes and it was really nice! 1. The price is a bit high! 2. I think it would be better in a tube instead of a jar. The included stick is too small, and it's inconvenient to scoop out the sticky gel every time, so I end up not using it. A tube would be much more convenient and hygienic. I applied this gel cream on top of any sheet mask just as it was starting to dry, and let it absorb! Then when I removed the mask later, my skin felt less sticky, more hydrated, and really great~! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJun 28, 2024
A refreshing gel cream for summer that balances oil and moisture! As the name suggests, it's a hydrating gel cream formula! It has a slight cooling effect and feels like applying a hydrating primer. Despite being a gel cream, it wraps the skin with a light richness, emphasizing the oil-moisture balance. However, it has a silky finish, making it suitable to use before makeup. With its combination of hydration and moisture, it might be sufficient to use just this Water Bank Gel Cream after toner in summer! Highly recommended for those who find skincare routines bothersome. The cute design is a lovely accent on your vanity! The spatula's flat design makes it a bit awkward to use.. You can use it as a sleeping pack by melting the beads with your hands and applying it like foundation with the straight spatula. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
*Initial skin condition* My T-zone is oily while the rest of my face is slightly dry. I have skin that's prone to occasional blemishes. [Review after 8 days of use] Texture: It's a gel type mixed with little beads (cooling capsules)! Application: It applies smoothly with a moisturizing feel. The cooling capsules absorb well into the skin when massaged! Cooling effect: Being a gel type, it definitely has a great cooling effect. It's excellent for reducing heat and soothing irritated skin during summer. Packaging: I love that it's designed to be refillable! Blemishes: Throughout the usage period, my skin remained clear without any significant blemishes. Fragrance: It's disappointing that it contains artificial fragrance ingredients... - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
Texture: I love that the cream contains tiny particles that dissolve easily when gently massaged into the face without causing irritation! True to its cooling claim, you can feel the cooling effect as soon as you apply it, making it a great product for those with redness issues. Blemishes: As someone with severe redness, I'm a fan of 'cooling' products, and I've been using other Laneige products (like their Sleeping Mask). I was eager to try this one. My skin is sensitive and prone to redness and blemishes, often reacting badly to products that don't suit it. Fortunately, this product worked well for me! It didn't cause any blemishes, and while I haven't used it long enough to comment on blemish removal, its cooling properties seem to help with redness! Plus, I really appreciate that you can refill the product once it's finished! It feels like they're being environmentally conscious. As I mentioned, I'm also using another Laneige product (the Sleeping Mask), and I find that Laneige products are effective in reducing facial heat and are gentle on the skin! (Great for summer) However, I think this cream alone might not be enough for dry skin types! It seems more suitable for oily skin? (I have very dry skin.) Also, the quantity is a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
I had a good experience with Laneige's blue jar cream before, so I was excited to apply for The Hwahae Testers this time! The ingredients seem great - no blemishes, no tingling sensation. When it comes to creams, I prioritize skin barrier protection, and this barrier cream is absolutely fantastic. It has little beads that give a nice massaging feel, but it's not irritating at all - they're cooling capsules, apparently. The scent is very subtle, almost undetectable, which I like. As it's a gel cream for oily skin, it absorbs quickly while still feeling incredibly hydrating. I think it might work well for dry skin too. I'm not sure about the cooling effect... These days, when I apply it in the morning before going out, it feels like sweat, especially around the philtrum area. It's not great to apply when your skin is damp. You know those creams that make you feel sweaty? Especially the thinner ones? This seems to be one of those, so I can't use it before makeup. Recommended for seasons other than summer - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
Texture: It's a subtly bluish, transparent cream! I've been dying to try this product. As I hoped, it's the perfect hydrating gel cream for combination dehydrated skin! It really feels like it's flooding your skin with hydration, and the finish is so fresh you don't have to worry about oiliness in summer! Formulation: Being a gel cream, it's completely different from typical heavy creams. It's almost like an aloe soothing gel - the moment you apply it, you feel the hydration and a cool, refreshing effect. If you slather it on generously at night like an aloe pack, by morning it's all beautifully absorbed. Packaging: I always pay attention to packaging, and Laneige's new line is so pretty and sleek. Just having it on your vanity gives you a sense of satisfaction! The downside with products in jars is always the worry about contamination, even when using a spatula. That's why I generally prefer squeeze tubes. But then again, scooping out the product on a hot summer day gives you that extra satisfying cooling sensation that you don't get with tubes. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 28, 2024
I absolutely adore the container shape and the pastel colors - the packaging is so cute and appealing! The texture and hydration level are perfect for my combination dehydrated skin. Just one application keeps my skin from feeling dry. It absorbs well when applied, and the little particles quickly sink into the skin, which I love. The fragrance is subtle and pleasant, so I think I'll enjoy using it without any issues. Even with my super sensitive skin, I felt a slight cooling effect when applied, and it didn't cause any additional blemishes. The Hwahae Testers would approve! Considering the price, the amount of product is less than I expected, which makes me hesitant about repurchasing. I think it would work great as an overnight mask if you apply a generous layer after cleansing in the evening (it would be even better if it came in a larger size). - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2024
I have oily skin with occasional large blemishes, sensitivity around the chin, and some redness. I've been curious about the Laneige cream for a while, and now that I'm trying it, I'm impressed! First off, I love that it comes with a spatula. As it's summer, I needed a cream with a cooling effect, and this one delivers! Being oily-skinned, I usually keep my summer skincare routine simple. I've used this cream both day and night, and I appreciate its lightweight texture that doesn't feel heavy. I was concerned the tiny beads might irritate my sensitive chin area, but they dissolve quickly without causing any issues. It absorbs rapidly when applied in a thin layer, leaving no heavy feeling before makeup or at night. Overall, it seems like a great cream for summer use without any major drawbacks! It would be better if the spatula could be attached to the container. As it is, it rolls around and falls off if not placed carefully, requiring cleaning before each use. Those with dry skin might find it lacks richness. However, for oily skin types, it's a perfect cream with just the right amount of hydration.
