A quick swipe leaves your skin feeling powdery smooth, like you've just applied a primer.
ConsApplying multiple layers can cause it to pill up like dead skin cells, so it's best to keep it light with just one or two gentle touches. It can feel drying on dry skin types. The texture is hard like a candle or crayon, especially when first used. The edges can be quite sharp, causing bits to flake off and clump when applied. To minimize irritation, it's necessary to smooth out the surface by rubbing it vigorously on your arm, hand, or a tissue to round off the edges before use.
TipWith my combination dehydrated skin, I'm using this mattifying sunstick on my T-zone while pairing it with a hydrating sunstick on my cheeks.

It leaves a matte finish that feels like you're not wearing anything at all.
ConsWhere do I even begin? Let's start with the positives. Yes, it does have a powdery finish, but for my oily skin, it still feels a bit greasy. My dry-skinned sister, on the other hand, finds it too matte and barely noticeable, but she's using it happily. Now, it doesn't play well with my emulsion. I use Es*ee moisturizer, and even if I apply this sunstick long after, it pills terribly - like, to the point where I can't even use it. It was fine with other creams though (like Mi*in Cica Cream). I could have overlooked the pilling, chalking it up to the nature of sunsticks, and that alone wouldn't warrant a one-star review. The main reason for the low rating is this: I had been using it well, repurchased in March, and started using it again. I'd stopped before due to the pilling, but it never irritated my skin or caused breakouts. I even finished a whole stick. I decided to give it another go in March because my other sunscreen was too sticky. Now, I walk my dog daily, and suddenly, every time I was exposed to sunlight, my face would break out in itchy, mosquito-bite-like bumps. The itching was unbearable - I'd scratch so much that my face would get wounded and sting when I washed it. One day I stayed in, and it didn't happen, so I looked up the symptoms - they matched sun allergy perfectly. My mom had suffered from sun allergy for years, so I assumed that's what it was and kept using the sunstick. But then my mom, who had also used this sunstick, broke out in 10 pimples after just one day of use and stopped immediately. She suggested it might be the sunstick, so I tried a sample of a different sunscreen - and guess what? No reaction, even in full sun exposure. I'd heard that a once-loved cosmetic product can become your worst enemy if your skin condition changes, but I never expected this. Unlike my mom, I didn't get covered in acne, but my whole face would get itchy and red. If the product hasn't been reformulated, it might just be my skin, but seeing that it didn't work for my mom either, I'd caution those with sensitive skin to be very careful with this. Between the pilling and this reaction, I can't use it before makeup at all. I've got two sticks left that I'll use on my body instead. At least I'm relieved it's the product and not actual sun allergy.
TipI strongly recommend that those with sensitive skin do a patch test before purchasing.

As the days heated up, I switched to a lightweight, moisturizer-like sunscreen, but the oil that came through in the afternoon... ugh! I had tried a sun stick once a long time ago and never used one again, but this product addressed those drawbacks while still feeling light on the skin, which I loved. The sun stick I used before left visible marks on my face, so I had to pat it in with my fingers to blend it. I couldn't see the benefits of using a sun stick then, but with this product, I wondered if I had even applied it! There were no visible lines, and I could feel my skin becoming smooth and silky right after application. The matte finish was a bonus! It was also easy to reapply, and being small and lightweight made it convenient to carry around.
ConsThere weren't really any downsides, but if I had to nitpick, I noticed a few times when looking in the mirror that it had pilled up like dirt. Interestingly, I didn't feel this at all when applying. I'm not sure if it's because it dries out and flakes off like dead skin cells...?

True to its name as a 'powdery sun stick', it feels light on the skin without any stickiness. It's ideal for those who find oily and heavy sunscreens burdensome. Due to its powdery finish, it's suitable for use not only on the face but also on areas that come into frequent contact with clothing, such as the neck, arms, and legs. While it's great for year-round use, it's particularly well-suited for summer. It's convenient to use anywhere on the face or body without leaving an unpleasant rich feeling on your hands, allowing for quick and easy application.
ConsWhen first using the product, the sun stick may not apply evenly and might pill like dead skin cells. Due to the nature of stick products, dust and other foreign particles may accumulate on the part of the stick that directly contacts the skin. As you can visibly see the sun stick wearing down during use, it may feel like it's depleting faster than a regular sunscreen.
TipIf you have dry skin, avoid direct application to the face during dry seasons like winter.

I hope this review helps those with similar skin types! What I love about this product: • A non-drying, velvety finish • Non-sticky after application • Sleek design • Great portability • Excellent for body use too The most surprising aspect of this product was its texture. There are many products on the market labeled as 'velvety' or 'fresh,' but when you actually use them, they often feel more drying than velvety. However, Unique's sun stick is truly velvety - exactly what you'd expect! It feels like you've applied your skincare, base makeup, and then gently pressed powder all over your face with a puff. It maintains that freshly-applied makeup feel, with the hydration from your skincare still intact, but with an added powder-like finish! The texture was so fascinating that I kept touching my face. It really seems like a product designed to target summer skincare needs. I love that it's velvety without being drying, making it perfect for regular use. It's also great for body application - the stick format makes it easy to cover larger areas, and its pleasant velvety finish means you can use it on areas prone to sweat rashes without worry. I absolutely love it!
ConsIf you apply too much, it can pill slightly like dead skin. For those with dry skin, you might feel some tightness after a while in seasons other than summer. However, it should be suitable year-round for those with oily skin.
TipIt's great for foundation-free makeup as it creates a velvety finish that prevents hair from sticking to your face!

True to its name, this sunstick has an incredibly powdery finish when applied. I really liked this aspect. It glides smoothly on the face, and although the overall quantity seems small, it doesn't seem to run out quickly with use. It's comfortable and gentle to use, and feels soothing even on my sensitive skin. I think the packaging is hygienic. The twist-up container closes well, doesn't come loose easily, and is sturdy. It also stands up nicely.
ConsWhen I'm in a hurry and apply it quickly, the formula can sometimes clump together, requiring gentle blending with my fingers. The most disappointing aspect is that, perhaps due to its powdery finish or poor absorption, it tends to pill up like dead skin after about 3-4 hours. While it seems fine at first, the pilling that occurs later is frustrating as I can't keep removing it when I'm out. Compared to other sunsticks, this one seems to pill more frequently.
TipI recommend using a very small amount of the sunstick as a base, followed by a hydrating sunscreen.

I'm sensitive to sunburns, so I carry sunscreen separately and reapply it frequently. This sunstick is perfect because it's hygienic and convenient - no need to transfer it to another container or wash your hands every time. It's also a good size and lightweight. Unlike most sunscreens with their distinctive scent, this one is completely fragrance-free, which is great. It has a nice grip, and surprisingly, it's not stiff or dry at all. Right after application, it gives a nice glow! Interestingly, after applying, it leaves a powder-like finish. I'm not sure about winter, but from now until midsummer, it should be fantastic. In summer, sunscreens often leave a characteristic shine, but this one doesn't at all. For dry skin, I applied it frequently, and it didn't cause any flaking or dryness.
ConsI used it for three consecutive days and while it didn't cause any blemishes, occasionally when applying, some residue comes off like dead skin cells. You need to be careful with the application.
TipI usually finish my skincare routine with oily products, but if it's too oily, this sunstick doesn't apply well. It's best to focus on hydration for deep dryness in your skincare, then apply this - it goes on really well! I heard that warming up the sunstick slightly before application improves its absorption. I tried it, and it really did make it easier to apply!
