  Eye makeup (mascara, eyeliner) doesn't completely come off. When I roll it, oil and dead skin come off, and even though I have dry skin, the products felt a bit drying after use.

  Cons

  As a night type, adjusting the amount was a bit difficult. It stings a bit when it gets in the eyes.

  As my first-ever cleansing balm, I didn't have high expectations when I first tried it on a trip. I was initially disappointed that I forgot to pack a separate lip and eye makeup remover, but that feeling quickly vanished! It effectively removed almost all my color makeup, including mascara, eyeliner, and lipstick! I was so pleasantly surprised that I remember excitedly telling my travel buddy about it in the bathroom. The remaining traces of makeup were easily removed with a regular cleansing foam. Throughout my use, I was quite satisfied as it didn't leave my skin feeling overly dry, but rather maintained a deep hydration.

  Cons

  The main reason I deducted one star is the inconvenience of using the spatula every time. It's quite cumbersome to scoop out the product, and controlling the amount is challenging. After a long, tiring day, when all you want to do is remove your makeup, carefully measuring out the balm with a spatula becomes quite a hassle. I wish the product was easier to dispense, or came in a different format altogether.

  Tip

  Given that this cleansing balm is oil-based, those with combination to oily skin should be extra diligent with their second cleanse! Make sure to cleanse thoroughly all over your face, otherwise your pores might get clogged quickly, leading to blemishes.

  It cleanses really well and seems to be great at removing blackheads! It also helps with dead skin cells, and most importantly, it leaves my skin feeling moisturized without any tightness after cleansing! I love that it doesn't sting even if it gets in my eyes!!! It's perfect for removing mascara too.

  Cons

  There's not really anything to complain about, but if I had to nitpick, it's a bit tricky to control the amount, and I didn't see much effect on whiteheads.

  I'm on my third jar of this product. It's great for reducing blemishes if you massage it in well, and the scent isn't overpowering. It's been effective in calming my acne, and I'm impressed with its cleansing effectiveness - it even removes waterproof mascara and eyeliner with some gentle rubbing. Another plus is that it causes minimal irritation if it gets in your eyes during cleansing.

  Cons

  Hygiene is a bit of a concern. Dust can get in when opening and closing the jar. It's also tricky to control the amount you use. The included spatula is quite small and easy to misplace.

  I've been using the spatula from Mediheal modeling masks, which I find more convenient than the one that comes with this cleansing balm.

  As someone with super sensitive skin, this product really agrees with my complexion. It's amazing at removing excess oil.   First off, its cleansing effectiveness is so good that it removes eye makeup in one go! You can really feel the impurities being thoroughly extracted and disappearing.

  Cons

  However, I always end up with a couple of blemishes on my cheeks after using it, and it's really difficult to control the amount. As a result, I go through it very quickly.

  Tip

  I use it while bathing at night. That's when I notice the exfoliating beads become more prominent. After using it, I cleanse and then apply an aloe mask to soothe my skin, since I've scrubbed quite a bit.
