This is a bare-face cream that offers sun protection, soothing effects, and brightening benefits all in one. The brand Airenol is famous for its natural-looking cover creams, and after trying it myself, I can see why it's so popular! When applying, it doesn't feel like it's floating on the skin or pilling, but instead provides a natural coverage. The absorbs so well that you can hardly tell you're wearing anything - it's truly the epitome of hydration! There's no creasing in fine lines, and it adheres to the skin so naturally. On busy mornings, you can just apply it lightly to your bare face, and it subtly covers imperfections, which is great! With my complexion between shades 21 and 22, I found 21 slightly light and 22 slightly dark. If you like a brighter look, go for 21, but for a truly natural tone, I'd recommend 22. While it felt great when first applied, the slight downside is that when it starts to wear off, it can look a bit messy. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 11, 2024
I love how this sunscreen provides a natural correction. It's great for a no-makeup look, and in summer when it's hard to layer multiple products due to the heat, this one alone with a touch of concealer works wonders. It feels moisturizing when applied. It dries out quickly, leaving a greasy surface but feeling dry underneath. Being a sunscreen, its coverage isn't exceptional and it breaks down easily with sweat. Even for my shade 22 skin, it's a bit dark and I found it too natural-looking. If you're shade 22 or lighter, definitely go for the lighter option. Perfect for those who want to skip foundation and achieve a natural correction! Just make sure to have a solid skincare routine as a base. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 10, 2024
The best part is that this brightening moisturizer with SPF is so hydrating! I used to love Dr. G's tone-up sunscreen, but it was too powdery and drying, especially in fall and winter. The Ailenol sunscreen has just the right amount of richness, spreads easily, and keeps my skin feeling moisturized - I'm really impressed! It doesn't pill even when I apply cushion foundation over it. The color is a natural, neutral tone that works well. It's a bit dark for my 21 shade skin, but it doesn't look too dark once applied as it blends seamlessly, naturally evening out my complexion. I'd recommend this shade for those who are 22 or darker. It might be a bit rich for use in the height of summer. When you sweat, it seems to melt away. You'll definitely need powder in summer! However, I like that it doesn't break down in a messy, patchy way. The shade is a bit dark for me, so I'm planning to try the 1.0 when the weather gets warmer. I gave the 2.0 to my mom who's a shade 23, and she's satisfied with how it evens her skin tone and feels on her skin. I love applying it in two thin layers using a spatula - it spreads evenly and looks great! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinJun 6, 2024
1. Hydration Unlike many tone-correcting products that can feel dry or have that typical mineral sunscreen texture, this one applies as smoothly as an organic sunscreen - it's incredibly moisturizing! 2. Finish: No stickiness I absolutely hate sticky, heavy finishes. This product has none of that. It leaves a hydrated finish that absorbs, leaving just a slight glow. It makes your skin look naturally flawless! 3. Tone correction Whether you have redness here or yellowness there... One layer on dull bare skin evens out the complexion beautifully for an overall clean look. 4. Functional benefits It contains glutathione and brightening ingredients to help lighten the skin tone. I think having these functional benefits is always a plus! 1. Tone/Color For those who usually use cushion foundations in shades 19-21 and prefer a slightly lighter tone, this might feel a bit dark. 2. Slight buildup around the nose When I applied it casually with my fingers, including around the nose area, I noticed a bit of product buildup (I tend to have more dead skin cells and sebum in this area). However, it's much less noticeable than the buildup you get when makeup breaks down. 3. Coverage It doesn't offer much coverage. Since it's such a hydrating product, you'll need to use concealer for blemishes! Not recommended for a full foundation-free makeup look, but perfect for those who find bare skin intimidating yet dislike the heavy feel of tone-up sunscreens or base products. Also great as a tone-correcting step before applying cushion foundation or liquid foundation!
