This is my go-to base product! A friend even asked what I'm using on my skin today. It's water-resistant and I'm almost done with a whole tube without noticing any drawbacks. It might not work as well for oily skin types, though. For my skin, it doesn't cause any blemishes, so I'm extremely satisfied with this product. It's a bit disappointing that it fades slightly after a few hours and can transfer onto white clothes. Keep this in mind when purchasing! Applying a thin layer ensures the cream isn't noticeable and allows for natural control of the amount used. If you apply too much, it can look cakey and make it obvious you're wearing makeup. Don't try to brighten your complexion too much - given the product's natural brightening properties, it's best to apply it thinly for the most natural look! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 12, 2024
Coverage: The coverage is better than expected. While it doesn't fully conceal blemishes, it does a good job of covering redness! Application: I'm not sure if it's my application technique, but it doesn't feel like it adheres perfectly to the skin. It spreads with a slightly rich texture. Transfer: It does transfer quite a bit... It comes off on masks, but it's not too bad overall. Unless you have very fair skin, shade #2 should suit most people well. It gives a natural brightening effect and makes you look like you're wearing makeup! It's disappointing that it doesn't adhere closely to the skin and the transfer is a bit of an issue. This might mean it doesn't last as long, but I suppose that can't be helped. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJun 11, 2024
The Hwahae Testers!!!! I'm so late in writing this review, I'm sorry! First off, while Ailenol is famous for their dark circle cover product, I tried their bare-face correcting sunscreen as a Hwahae Tester since it caught my eye. To start with... it's not great. The color is a perfect ivory, but it's quite rich. It might be a bit much for summer use, probably better suited for winter. There are so many good sunscreens out there these days. I'm someone who always wears sunscreen, and even in summer I like to apply something somewhat hydrating, then use matte sunscreen and cushion foundation. But... hmm... it transfers too... Personally, I wouldn't recommend it. Just in case, I'll keep using it to see if my opinion changes! It's oily... and transfers...? Impossible to use in summer, unfortunately. Still, I'll try it with a light base routine. I'll give it another shot in winter or maybe fall. Right now, it's just too much!!!! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 9, 2024
This sunscreen aligns perfectly with the current 'foundation-free' trend, offering both tone-up and coverage benefits. Surprisingly, its texture and color closely resemble a BB cream. The application is smooth and gentle, not thick or heavy at all! Being fragrance-free, it's suitable for those with scent sensitivities. The packaging is adorably designed to look like an ointment tube. It's reminiscent of the recent trend of supersized cosmetic products - like an enlarged version of a medicinal cream. The 1.0 shade is lighter, suitable for complexions lighter than shade 21, while 2.0 is more natural, ideal for shade 22 and darker. I tried 2.0 and found the color quite natural. It seems to provide better blemish coverage compared to typical sunscreens. Even when applied with fingers, it covers pores well. It's moisturizing but has a rich feel, so for summer, it might be more suitable for those with dry skin (just make sure to exfoliate first) rather than oily skin types. While it may lack sufficient coverage for blemish-prone skin, it's perfect as a bare-faced sunscreen that offers skin-perfecting benefits along with sun protection. You can always add extra coverage if needed. Be careful with white clothes as it can transfer. For those with shade 22 skin, it might look too natural or slightly dark, so there's no real tone-up effect. Consider choosing a different shade. For a smoother application, better skin adhesion, and increased coverage, try mixing it with your foundation, similar to how you might use a BB cream. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 8, 2024
First off, I love how lightweight it feels. It's lighter than BB cream but offers more coverage than regular sunscreen. A big plus is that you can reapply it multiple times during summer instead of using cushion foundation. The slightly oily texture is great for those with dry skin. However, due to its dewy finish, you might want to lightly dust your face with powder using a brush for a more matte look. One downside is that it tends to transfer after application. That's a bit disappointing. As I mentioned, it does transfer after application, which is somewhat disappointing. This aspect could use some improvement. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 5, 2024
This feels like a sunscreen with just a hint of BB cream added. Recommended for those who prefer a natural tone correction. The staying power is decent - it lasts until evening if you don't touch your face. It leaves your skin moisturized with a subtle glow. The color transfers like foundation when you touch your face! If you dislike this, opt for a different tone-up sunscreen. The coverage is light, only slightly evening out skin tone like redness, but it's not enough to conceal blemishes or dark spots. Rather than brightening your face, it's more like a dark BB cream, which might feel a bit awkward when first applied. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 2, 2024
I used to apply sunscreen and then do my makeup with cushion foundation on top, but with this product alone, I can do my makeup! It's fantastic. I received it as part of The Hwahae Testers, and once I finish it, I plan to buy it myself. As you can see in the photo, it has a BB cream-like texture and gives a glow after application! I love how it creates that 'Inner Glow' look. When I use cushion foundations, my skin gets dry and dead skin cells appear when I reapply, but with this product, I don't have to worry about that. They also included a sample with the product, which I'll try out. Thank you! Since it's a sunscreen with added skin makeup, the coverage isn't as high as a foundation. It also transfers easily. If coverage and transfer resistance are important to you, you might want to apply this first and then lightly apply makeup on top. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 28, 2024
When I used to apply makeup before work and touch it up all day at the office, my skin would feel irritated. I wanted something lighter than sunscreen, and that's when I found this product. It feels like a very lightweight BB cream compared to sunscreen. It's hydrating and not heavy on the skin at all. I'd say it's almost too hydrating... It's hard to tell if it's even applying properly. ----- Review after using for about a week ----- It transfers a lot... Even the slightest touch leaves residue on your fingers. While it doesn't leave visible marks, it's not suitable for wearing under a mask. Just lightly pressing it leaves residue as shown in the photo.
