However, I also produce a lot of sebum, so by evening, I could feel my makeup caking and oil buildup, leading me to cleanse quite thoroughly. This product satisfied both my need for hydration and oil control! I always double cleanse in the evening, and this product leaves my skin feeling incredibly moisturized! It's different from the slippery feeling left by regular cleansing oils. Even after following up with a cleansing foam, my skin still felt hydrated and comfortable. The cream-like emulsion texture doesn't run like typical oils, making it easy to apply evenly. It transforms into an oil when it comes into contact with your skin's warmth, and it doesn't sting even if it gets in your eyes! Despite having sensitive skin, I didn't experience any irritation. I think this would work well even during seasonal changes or winter when there are big temperature fluctuations!
ConsDue to its emulsion texture, it can feel a bit thick before it transforms into an oil. Also, since it's different from the formulas I'm used to, I tend to use more product than necessary. Other than that, I couldn't find any real downsides to the product itself!
TipFor the least irritation, apply the product evenly, wait for it to transform into an oil, then start massaging. I found that using about 3.5 pumps was just the right amount! Instead of spreading it all over your palms, try applying it in sections on your face like you would an emulsion. This way, once it transforms, you'll have just the right amount to work with.

Personally, I have some reservations about it.
ConsUsually with cleansing oils, you pump out the oil several times, do a first cleanse for 1-2 minutes, then add a bit of water to emulsify and massage for another 1-2 minutes before rinsing. However, this product feels too thick to cleanse without water... It seems to solidify quickly. Even after rinsing several times with water, compared to other cleansing oils, it leaves a lingering uncomfortable feeling. I wouldn't recommend it, unfortunately.

Non-irritating to the skin (suitable for blemish-prone skin) As someone with super sensitive skin, I find that cleansers that are too heavy or too light can cause irritation. However, this product didn't cause any blemishes while I was using it - which was great! 2. Easy to use thanks to its gel-cream texture, similar to a hydrating moisturizer Unlike oil-based cleansers that can be messy when pumped and applied to the face, this product has a gel-cream consistency that doesn't drip, making it very convenient to use. 3. No deep dryness after cleansing Sometimes after washing my face, I experience tightness, but with this product, there was absolutely no feeling of skin tightness!
Cons1. Eye irritation I'm the type who prefers to remove makeup in one go with an oil cleanser, but this product stung my eyes quite a bit... So having to use a separate lip and eye remover first is a bit of a hassle. 2. Although it has a gel-cream texture, it's not as lightweight as expected The consistency is a bit thick when massaging it onto the face. I guess it's because it's a gel-type oil cleanser, but it feels heavier than a cleansing balm, which made application a bit uncomfortable. While it didn't cause any blemishes, it does need to melt with body heat to roll smoothly, which is slightly disappointing. 3. The English text on the back of the container was unnecessary The product description is already inside the box... Was it really necessary to do this? It seems a bit pointless.
TipAfter applying to your face, don't start massaging right away. Wait a few seconds before rubbing it in! This allows the gel-oil to melt with your skin's temperature, making it easier to massage.

True to its 'jelly' name, it has a soft jelly texture that doesn't drip, which is great for avoiding messy elbows. I'd recommend this for those who want to remove light sun protection products with minimal irritation. It should be sufficient for removing sunscreen. However, it won't remove waterproof eyeliner.
ConsWhat's with the smell? It's so unpleasant that I wondered if I got a defective product. I had to breathe through my mouth while using it... Also, when first applying it to dry hands and face, it feels a bit stiff. I imagine even this might be too harsh for those with super sensitive skin.
TipIf you rub it between your hands to warm it up before applying to your face, it becomes a bit smoother.

But this Hwahae Testers product has a jelly-like texture that's bouncy and elastic, so it doesn't run as much as typical cleansing oils. That made it much easier to use. It's also less thick than cleansing balms, making it easier to massage into the skin. I've had countless experiences where cleansing oils made my eyes sting and cloudy, often leaving my vision blurry even after rinsing. However, the Combu Jelly Oil Cleanser seems gentler - I didn't experience any of those issues while using it. It didn't cause any burning or irritation on my skin either, which was great.
ConsUnlike most cleansing oil products, this jelly-like texture requires more effort to massage until it transforms into an oil. It felt stiffer than expected, so you need to use quite a bit of strength. If you have low stamina like me, you might find it a bit challenging! Also, I'm not sure if it's because I have extremely oily skin, but it didn't remove whiteheads and blackheads as thoroughly as I had hoped.
TipEven though it can be tedious and time-consuming, I found that thorough massaging and emulsifying really helps with removing sebum and impurities!

Cons* After applying, it feels a bit heavier than cleansing oils or balms when massaging, giving a slightly draggy sensation. * So it's best not to rub too hard and use a generous amount. * Being gentle, it doesn't dramatically change blackheads or sebum.
TipWhen emulsifying cleansing products, use a small amount of water, massage thoroughly, then rinse.

No double cleansing. Only oil cleanser used, without foam cleanser. - Rating: 4.5/5 (Not quite 5 as it lacks unique merits, but better than 4 as it's a solid product that delivers on the basics) - Overall impression: A basic yet effective oil cleanser with a subtle, appealing sauna wood scent. The non-drip formula is a bonus. The slightly stiff rolling sensation is the only minor drawback. ------------------------ - Scent: A calming fragrance reminiscent of Finnish sauna wood. The scent is subtle and not overpowering. - Texture: Non-drip gel texture. Unlike liquid formulas, it doesn't slip through fingers, making application convenient. Initially gel-like, it melts into an oil-like consistency when massaged onto the skin. - Cleansing effectiveness: Initially questioned its ability to reach deep into pores while in gel form, but after repeated use, found it performs as well as other oil cleansers. Cleanses thoroughly and emulsifies well. - Dryness and residue: No skin tightness or dryness post-cleanse. Skin feels soft immediately after washing due to moisturizing ingredients. Some might perceive this as residue, but the skin is actually well-cleansed. Personally, I skip double cleansing as over-cleansing can increase oil production, and I've experienced no blemishes with this approach. - Blackhead management: Since switching to oil cleansing, I've noticed a gradual reduction in blackheads. After changing to this product, blackheads haven't increased, indicating its effectiveness in managing them. - Irritation: While the gentle ingredients don't irritate the skin, it can sting slightly if it gets into the eyes, which is typical for cleansing products.
ConsThe main drawbacks in my opinion are... - Stiff rolling sensation: The gel texture can feel stiff when massaging, which worries me as someone with thin skin prone to fine lines. It can also cause temporary redness due to physical friction. In such cases, a runnier liquid formula might be preferable. - Inconsistent gel-to-oil transformation: Once it turns into oil, it massages as smoothly as regular oil cleansers. However, this transformation is inconsistent - sometimes it happens easily, other times it doesn't. I suspect it depends on skin temperature. Often, it remains in gel form until emulsification. - Lack of unique selling points: While it's a solid, basic product, it doesn't seem to offer any standout features that set it apart from other cleansers.
TipOil management is crucial in summer, so I use this oil cleanser daily, whether I've applied sunscreen or not. With good oil control, I've had no blemishes despite the summer heat, and my skin texture has improved. I've been receiving compliments on my complexion lately. When cleansing, I find that emulsifying about three times with a bit of water is sufficient.

I usually don't prefer overly oily products because of their distinct scent, but this formula was really unique! It also cleansed well.
ConsIt's not necessarily disappointing, but the texture is quite unusual. It's neither a cleansing milk nor an oil. It was so unique that I had trouble using it at first! Once I got used to it, it became comfortable to use, but initially, I felt it was a bit thick and heavy.

Texture: Unlike most oil cleansers that leave a slippery feeling and require a second cleanse, this one doesn't leave that residue. You might even be able to finish your cleansing routine with just this step. 2. Formulation: As many reviewers have noted, it comes out like a jelly when pumped to prevent dripping, and transforms into a typical oil cleanser when mixed with water. 3. Scent: As someone sensitive to fragrances, I often avoid products with strong or unpleasant scents. This product is unscented, which was perfect for me. 4. Ingredients: The high-quality ingredients didn't cause any blemishes on my face and minimized eye irritation.
Cons1. Cleansing Power: It's not as effective as my previous cleansing oil. While it does remove makeup like eyeliner if you're thorough, I wouldn't recommend it for those who prefer a quick cleanse. 2. Texture: While the jelly-like texture prevents dripping, which is a plus, it felt a bit stiff. This might be because I'm not used to this type of formulation. (I'm referring to how it feels before adding water, not during emulsification!)
TipDespite having super sensitive skin, I've tried many products, and this one didn't cause many blemishes. This speaks volumes about the quality of its ingredients.

Unlike many cleansing oils with a strong oily scent, this one has absolutely no such fragrance, making it suitable for those with scent sensitivities. The texture is like a hydrating moisturizer, so it doesn't run, making it easy to use. The application feels like applying a cream, and it's non-irritating, which I really appreciate!
ConsDue to its moisturizer-like texture, you need to apply a generous amount to cleanse without irritating the skin. If you use too little, it can feel a bit stiff!
TipSince it can feel stiff with a small amount, I'd recommend using about 3 pumps for optimal results!
