It's fascinating how it transforms from a jelly to an oil texture. I was impressed that it effectively removed my eyebrow mascara and lip and eye makeup without using a separate remover. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a gentle cleansing oil that doesn't cause irritation.
ConsWhen you press the pump, it doesn't fully spring back immediately - it only seems to return about two-thirds of the way. Also, it leaves a slightly slippery residue on the skin.

This product seems to address the drawbacks of both. It comes out as a gel with just a pump, making cleansing so convenient. I'd even recommend this to those who skip their first cleanse out of laziness and only use foam cleansers.
ConsAfter cleansing, instead of feeling refreshed, there's a slippery residue that feels like you've still got cream on, which leads to a second cleanse. But that leaves my skin too dry. I wish it emulsified better to avoid this issue.

However, I was pleased that it only removed makeup cleanly without any issues. - The container has a twist-lock mechanism, which is great for clumsy people like me as it prevents unnecessary product leakage.
Cons<Not recommended for> - Those with extremely oily skin - People who prefer a squeaky-clean feeling after cleansing Since it's a cleansing 'oil' jelly, while it's good for removing makeup, it falls short as a standalone cleanser. <Inconveniences> - A slippery feeling remains after cleansing - Being in jelly form, the rolling sensation during cleansing sometimes felt less comfortable compared to regular cleansing oils (it felt a bit sticky) It's strongly recommended to follow up with a second cleanse after using this product!

However, this product has a jelly-like texture that's delightfully bouncy. While scooping cream cleansers can be a hassle, this cleanser combines the best of both worlds - it's like a cleansing balm with the convenience of a pump oil. As a vegan cosmetic with gentle ingredients, it worked well even for my super sensitive skin without causing any blemishes. I was expecting a sharp scent reminiscent of kombucha, but it turned out to be pleasantly unscented with no off-putting smell.
ConsDue to its gentle nature, it leaves a slightly slippery feeling after rinsing. Those looking for a squeaky-clean sensation might find this aspect a bit disappointing.
TipFor best results, open your pores with a warm towel steam, then roll the product over your T-zone. It's great for removing blackheads and whiteheads. It's like giving yourself a gentle nose pack treatment using cleansing oil.

I knew that oil cleansers were recommended for oily skin, so being extremely dry-skinned and prone to blemishes, I was initially worried about using an oil-based product. I was lucky enough to be selected by The Hwahae Testers to try the Kaine Kombu Jelly Oil Cleanser. Kombu was new to me in skincare - I only knew about kombucha! It turns out kombucha is made by fermenting green tea into black tea, then adding beneficial bacteria. This fermentation process enriches it with polyphenols, probiotics, and vitamin B, which can soothe the skin and strengthen its barrier. The Kaine Kombu Jelly Oil Cleanser contains kombucha ferment filtrate. It's a vegan product suitable for sensitive skin, so even those of us with super sensitive skin can use it with confidence. I was amazed that despite being an oil, it has a gel texture that doesn't drip. But the real magic happens when you start massaging it - it transforms into an oil. It's exactly my cup of tea!
ConsAfter using the cleanser, my face feels a bit slippery, so I need to rinse thoroughly. I find this sensation bothersome, so I follow up with a foam cleanser to wash it off completely. Also, I experienced a slight burning sensation in my eyes, unfortunately.
TipAfter massaging, try adding a bit of water to emulsify the product. You'll notice it rinses off even more thoroughly this way!

Leaves skin feeling moisturized after removing makeup (good cleansing power) 2. Contains fermented kombucha, panthenol, and plant-based oils for better hydration than typical cleansing oils 3. Vegan ingredients, non-irritating, and doesn't sting eyes 4. Almost fragrance-free, suitable for everyone 5. Sufficient as a first-step cleanser for those who typically only wear sunscreen
Cons1. To minimize friction on the skin, you need to use about 4 pumps each time, so it might run out quickly 2. Those who wear full makeup daily or have oily skin might not prefer the slippery feeling -> This feeling was quite noticeable for me
Tip1. Use a lip and eye remover first for lip and eye makeup, then use this cleanser for a thorough cleanse 2. After using this product as a first-step cleanser, follow with a mild alkaline cleanser (instead of a mild acidic one) as a second step to remove any remaining impurities when cleansing makeup

It feels like a gift to yourself, making it a treat for the eyes every time you use it. The texture is, as the name suggests, jelly-like, and I experienced no eye irritation while using it. The scent is subtle, so it's likely to appeal to everyone. The application method is similar to emulsifying cleansing oils, and the instructions come with helpful photos.
ConsWhile it doesn't cause additional blemishes, it doesn't seem to significantly help in reducing them either. Unlike some other oils, such as those from Manyo Factory, you don't get that satisfying feeling of removing blackheads and whiteheads - probably because of its gel texture. Also, its cleansing power isn't extraordinary. After emulsifying, it feels a bit more slippery? That's why I followed up with foam cleanser twice when using this product. I also noticed more residue coming off when using an exfoliating toner afterward.
TipI'd recommend this more for those with dry skin rather than oily, blemish-prone skin like mine. It seems great for gently removing light makeup like sunscreen on days when you're wearing minimal products!

The opaque case and packaging really lifted my spirits! It gave me the impression that it would be beneficial for skin health. The scent has a rice-grain aroma, which made me feel like it would be good for my skin. I appreciated the pump bottle design, as it helps prevent contamination. There was no eye irritation, and the beneficial ingredients seemed gentle on my skin.
ConsUsing this alone for cleansing doesn't seem to provide a thorough clean. It feels more like applying a hydration cream, and I need to pump it at least three times to get enough product, which feels a bit stiff. It leaves quite a slippery feeling on the skin. On days with heavy makeup, double cleansing might be necessary. I wish the ingredients were listed on the container.

Scent: It's like they've extracted the essence from Cle de Peau, minus the sweetness. There's a delightfully nutty aroma that's absolutely mouthwatering. User experience: Initially, there's a slight resistance when applying and rolling it on the face. After a moment, it seems to react to body heat, transforming into a hydrating oil roll starting from the forehead! It emulsifies well, but due to its transformative nature, you'll find yourself massaging longer and more meticulously. This could be seen as both a pro and a con. When a bit got in my eyes, the irritation was tolerable, and my vision cleared quickly after rinsing - passing the test! After following up with a foam cleanser, I noticed that shallow whiteheads and some superficial blackheads were cleared away. (Deeper blackheads were only reduced in size, not completely removed, which was slightly disappointing.) Packaging: The beautiful full-size container is a pleasure to look at, but the minimalist design omits even basic usage instructions. (Though admittedly, the usage is fairly straightforward.) The pump has an easy-to-use locking mechanism, making it convenient for travel! One minor gripe: you need to unfold the outer box to find detailed information. I had to be extra careful not to tear the box while opening it, fearing I might lose the printed information.
ConsUntil emulsification, you can wash your face while standing straight and looking in the mirror. However, once it emulsifies, you'll need to bend over the sink, and it may drip down to your elbows - not much different from other products in this regard. The accompanying leaflet claims no need for a second cleanse, but the slippery finish after rinsing makes me a bit uneasy about that. While it has a nice formula, apart from its unique texture, I didn't experience any exceptional convenience. The price point of 25,000 won for 145ml might make you pause, given its overall ordinary performance.
TipThe jelly texture allows for a thorough massage. Despite being a cleanser, its long massage characteristic makes it great for morning deep cleansing. On a less polluted(?) face, combined with its gentle fragrance and ample massage time, it feels like a pleasant way to softly wake up. (Note: Excessive oil rolling might lead to reabsorption of dissolved impurities, according to usage instructions from other oil cleansers.) Considering the extended rolling time, I followed up with a gentle, low pH foam cleanser. If you experience any blemishes potentially due to oil residue, try using an alkaline cleanser for your second cleanse.

Here's why it's worth 4 stars: 1. Texture: It has a moisturizer-like consistency. True to its jelly name, it's bouncy and fun! 2. Scent: There's hardly any fragrance, so even those with super sensitive skin could likely use it. 3. Hydration: I double cleanse, and my skin feels less tight after using this. If you only use this cleanser, your skin might feel even more hydrated. 4. It's packed with skin-loving ingredients like panthenol, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid. 5. While I don't wear heavy makeup, it removes everything well (except eyes and lips - use a dedicated remover for those). 6. The aesthetically pleasing packaging is a mood-booster. Using pretty products just makes you feel good!
Cons1. Despite claims of no eye irritation, it stung my eyes. It's less irritating than other products, but I still rinse quickly. It also made my vision a bit blurry. 2. It's supposed to transform into an oil, but for me, it felt like I just applied an emulsion. Maybe I needed to massage more? Also, this might vary person to person, but when I only use this cleanser, my skin feels a bit slippery. If you dislike that sensation, you'll definitely need to double cleanse.
