I'm loving this new version even more than the original - it's brighter and less shiny! These days, I'm too lazy for a full face of makeup, so I just apply this and go. If you don't have major blemish concerns, this alone could be enough for you. It does a great job of covering pores and evening out skin tone. I'm honestly so impressed, I've been recommending it to everyone! This is especially great for students and office workers. You know how your face can look dull and tired by afternoon? (I still don't know why this happens!) Well, this product helps prevent that. I actually reapply it after washing my face in the afternoon for a fresh look. I used to use the original (pink) version, but received the purple one as a gift. Now I've even bought the green one (is it tea tree?). This is truly my holy grail sunscreen! While it's less oily than the original pink version, it still has a bit of richness to it. Those with oily skin might find it uncomfortable... I have combination-oily skin, and in summer I have to use powder on my T-zone and cheeks after applying this. Also, don't use too many heavy skincare products underneath. Make sure to spread the sunscreen evenly - it can pill sometimes if you're not careful. For those without major skin concerns, you can achieve a natural makeup look by just using this and adding a touch of cream blush. It's perfect for those times when you want a bit more than a bare face, but don't want to go full glam. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 13, 2025
I initially loved the Waterful Essence Suncream for its hydration and gentleness on sensitive skin, but I felt it was missing a brightening effect. That's why I decided to try this one. Unfortunately, it's too thick and the brightening effect looks unnatural. It also pills under makeup, so I can't recommend it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 13, 2025
1. Natural brightening effect The purple corrector color provides a natural brightening effect. I was worried it might leave a white cast, but it doesn't at all - it's like turning on a soft light for your complexion. The subtle, lively hue evens out the skin tone, making it perfect to use before applying makeup base. 2. Moisturizing sunscreen Having used Espoir's Waterfull Sun Cream before, most sunscreens felt thick to me. But this is the first sunscreen I've found that's moisturizing and smooth! I was hesitant about the purple one since I heard the Waterfull Sun Cream can be oily, but I'm using it well as a hydrating, glowy sunscreen without any greasiness or floating. Highly recommended for winter! 3. Gentle sunscreen I've been using it without any blemishes (like skin bumps) - it's very gentle on the skin! 1. Absorption Usually, people apply sunscreen before putting on makeup base, right? This one takes a bit longer to absorb compared to my previous sunscreen. If you apply cushion foundation right after the sunscreen, it leaves marks and pills. You need to let it dry and absorb a bit before applying your base products! 2. Price Even though it's a 1+1 deal, it's still quite pricey. I recommend purchasing during Olive Young's sale periods. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 10, 2024
It gives a subtle glow while covering redness and beautifully brightening the complexion Because it's so glowy, after a while it makes you look like you have oily skin. If you use this product alone, your foundation will pill, so don't even think about touch-ups - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 1, 2024
It's perfect for wearing during workouts or casual outings. It naturally evens skin tone, and the scent is refreshing and inoffensive, making it comfortable to use. As a summer cool-toned person, I found that this brightening moisturizer with a subtle purple tint works better for my complexion! Sometimes, if I apply this brightening moisturizer in the morning and then suddenly have to put makeup on top for an unexpected appointment, it's a disaster. The makeup pills, separates, and slides around, forcing me to check the mirror constantly throughout the day. I strongly advise against applying makeup over this product. Use it solely as a brightening moisturizer! Since this product doesn't have exceptional absorption, it's best not to let it sit on your skin. Apply it quickly for the best results!
