ConsThere's a slightly shiny feeling, so it feels uncomfortable if I don't use powder. And the color was too dark.
TipSpraying mist or fixative on the puff and then applying makeup would have been better.

ConsThe coverage is a bit lacking, but by layering it on, it will be able to conceal to a certain degree.

Those with poor adherence 2. Those that oxidize quickly 3. Those that look cakey even with thin application 4. Those that look dewy on the surface but dry underneath 5. Matte cushions (easily settle into wrinkles, look patchy) Wake Make Water Glow Coating Balm Review: ♥ Brush vs. Puff -> Good When using a brush, don't rub it into the balm and spread on your face like in most YouTube videos - it'll become thick and patchy! I highly recommend following Byeolmi's YouTube tutorial! Gently tap the brush into the product about 3 times and apply to one cheek and chin for a light, non-patchy skin finish. The brush bristles are dense and soft, leaving almost no streaks. Using a regular cushion puff makes the application very thick, cakey, and patchy! I recommend using the puff to blend out any brush streaks or to cover blemishes with a small amount of product. The puff isn't too thin and has a nice bouncy texture - I personally like the Ruby Cell puff. TIP: The Ruby Cell puff absorbs a lot of product, so use small amounts and adjust as needed. ♥ Color -> 1 Rosy Porcelain I usually use Naming Layered Fit 17Y cushion. Rosy Porcelain is recommended for 17-19 shades, so I bought it. Many said it's light, but it's actually darker than my Naming 17Y... I recommend testing the color at your local Olive Young, then price comparing online before purchasing. ♥ Adherence -> Low Even with light skincare, dry skin that doesn't produce much oil, and controlled application, the adherence is poor... It leaves marks wherever it's touched. A light powder all over is a must. I'm personally very disappointed with the adherence! ♥ Balm type -> Not an easy, quick-application product This balm cushion isn't ideal for busy mornings. It's also difficult for touch-ups, and if you apply too much, it becomes heavy and cakey, leading to a messy breakdown later. Balm types should be moisturizing. Moisturizing formulas are easier to blend and touch up. The Wake Make Coating Balm isn't moisturizing. Don't expect a spa-like glow!!! It has a semi-matte finish, so it's not great for touch-ups. ♥ Oxidation -> Yes It darkens about half a shade. ♥ Longevity -> Patchy Needs touch-ups after 4-5 hours. Becomes patchy around thinly applied areas like eyes, sides of nose, smile lines, mouth, and chin. Compared to other cushions, its longevity is average. ♥ Pores -> Medium to High As it's a balm type, applying with a brush and patting with a puff fills in T-zone pores quite well. ♥ Coverage -> Medium Given its texture, the coverage isn't particularly high. It's about medium, so you'll need concealer for problem areas. I used concealer for blemishes and freckles. ♥ Pros Dense brush bristles and bouncy Ruby Cell puff are nice. Fills in pores well. Clean case design that doesn't show many fingerprints.
Cons♥ Cons Don't expect it to be moisturizing. Not ideal for touch-ups. Rather than a light and fresh look, it gives more of an 'I'm wearing makeup' vibe - can look thick and heavy with layering. Settles into wrinkles easily. Poor adherence. Disappointing shade brightness. Oxidizes about half a shade darker. Doesn't break down badly, but becomes patchy and dry over time.
Tip[Basic skincare routine to minimize patchiness for dry skin] Cleansing: Milk cleanser or cleansing water (1st cleanse) -> Foam cleanser (2nd cleanse) -> VT Super Hyalon Bubble Sparkling Booster (optional) Evening: Real Barrier Shot 100 -> Hyaluronic acid serum or hyaluronic acid sheet mask -> La Roche-Posay Multi-Repair Cream Morning: Water cleanse -> Hyaluronic acid serum -> Ongredients Skin Barrier Calming Emulsion Pre-makeup: Jung Saem Mool Water Micro Fitting Mist

Despite applying a thin layer, the coverage is surprisingly good. It gives a nice glow without feeling sticky, which I absolutely love. Overall, it makes my skin look fantastic.
ConsTo be honest, the packaging isn't my cup of tea (but that's just personal preference). Since it's a foundation and not a cushion, you might notice some powder residue after use, which is a bit of a bummer.
TipI highly recommend purchasing it with the complimentary brush. There's a noticeable difference between using a puff and the brush (the brush gives more of that coveted Inner Glow).

Applying with a brush and finishing with a puff creates a firm, glowing complexion. As I prefer lightweight products, it took some practice to apply thinly at first, but once I got used to it, I'm satisfied that it doesn't clump or break down over time. It seems to suit my deep undertone well. When first applied, it looks quite bright, but naturally settles to a shade darker as time passes.
ConsWhile it allows for a dewy, hydrated look, it can feel sticky. Those who prefer a matte finish might want to use it with powder. Also, people with oily skin may find it gets shiny over time.
TipI use a brush and puff for larger areas like cheeks and forehead, and a sponge for areas where pores or wrinkles are a concern, such as around the eyes and nose.

Even without applying powder separately, it held up nicely. However, since it does get a bit oily, the staying power might be shorter compared to dry skin types. Comparing application with a brush versus a puff: Application: Puff < Brush, Staying power: Puff > Brush. But! I think the brush applies it more thinly, which might explain the shorter wear time. Surprisingly, the puff was better at filling in pores.
ConsShorter staying power on oily skin compared to dry skin (which is to be expected, of course)
TipTry applying it lightly with a brush first, then use a puff for areas that need more coverage or pore-filling. This method should improve both coverage and longevity.
