Absorbs well: The serum and cream formulations absorb effortlessly without feeling heavy. The cream contains small particles that dissolve immediately, leaving no residue on the skin. 2. Hydration: I was surprised at first because it absorbed so well that it felt like I hadn't applied anything. But amazingly, the moisturizing effect lasted for a long time. 3. Sensitive skin: It's gentle and non-irritating, making it suitable even for sensitive skin (like mine). I initially thought of giving it to my mom if it was too harsh, but I'm keeping it for myself! Haha!
ConsScent and packaging: The product has an unusual herbal scent. The lid on the container doesn't secure well, making it difficult to open. + I think it's better to use the products separately rather than mixing them!

The application is excellent, and it doesn't just sit on top of the skin, making it perfect for both daily use and as a night cream. It even comes with a spatula and a separate storage space for it, which is really convenient. The price isn't too steep either, making it a solid choice for a go-to cream.
ConsAs someone with extremely dry skin, I found the rich cream a bit light for winter use. With the cold, dry winds lately, I've been adding some oil and glycerin to boost its effectiveness. It's a shame the rich cream isn't quite as rich as I'd hoped.

As someone with extremely dry skin, I used a 1:2 ratio of serum to cream, and it absorbs incredibly well without any residue! I actually felt the finish was quite powdery. I used to have severe deep dryness, so I'd slather on ultra-moisturizing creams. But that would make my makeup not adhere well and still wouldn't fix the deep dryness... However, using Gyeol House has completely transformed my skin texture. Gyeol House team? You're truly living up to your name! While it finishes with a powdery feel, it tackles the deep dryness, making my skin feel incredibly supple and nourished. I'm just so happy! Even in rooms with the heater on full blast, my skin doesn't feel dry. This is truly revolutionary! Would I repurchase when I run out? Absolutely, without a doubt. This product has genuinely improved my quality of life by addressing my skin's deep dryness. I'm truly grateful...
ConsThe cream lid, designed to keep the serum and cream separate, is a bit inconvenient! But the product's effectiveness is so good that I can overlook it. The included spatula is great for hygienically scooping out the serum and cream, and it makes controlling the amount easy.
TipPersonally, if you don't have extremely oily skin, I'd recommend a 1:2 ratio of serum to cream! Especially if you spend a lot of time indoors with the heater on, I highly recommend this approach.

But this cream might just be the year-round solution I've been looking for! I love that they provide a helpful guide for mixing ratios suitable for oily, dry, and combination skin types. What really impressed me was how my skin instantly gained a glow and became more supple after application. At first, I thought it might sit on top of the skin, but it absorbs quickly, resolving deep dryness and leaving my skin delightfully bouncy. The yellow cream has a rich, nourishing texture, while the blue cream feels even lighter than a gel moisturizer. When mixed, the blue cream seems to hydrate deep down, and the yellow cream forms a protective barrier. As a result, my skin felt comfortable and hydrated all day long. While this might not be the most cost-effective option for those with extremely dry skin, for everyone else, it's likely to be your go-to cream for all seasons. Oh, and the scent is totally my vibe! It's a refreshing citrusy scent with hints of greenery that makes application a mood-boosting experience.
Cons1. The need to mix the creams every time can be a bit of a hassle, but it's surprisingly fun, so it's not too bad. 2. A fair amount of product sticks to the container lid. It's slippery, and I dropped it once. Replacing the plastic lid with a thinner seal or silicone cover might be better. 3. The regular price is a bit steep. Unless you catch it on sale at Hwahae, it might be a bit hard to justify the purchase. 4. Beginners might struggle with getting the right amount. Even I used too much at first. I recommend starting with tiny amounts - seriously, think ant-sized portions - when mixing.
TipFor winter, here's my recommended mixing ratio for combination skin: For morning routines before work, after completing your skincare steps, use a blue:yellow ratio of 2:0.8 (an even split might lead to oiliness in the afternoon). For evenings, go for a 0.8:2 ratio, generously applying more of the yellow cream for extra nourishment.
