Despite this, I really dislike thick textures, heavy creams, and overly nourishing products that are slow to absorb. My skin tends to develop blemishes easily. Packaging: The product arrived with a ribbon-tied shopping bag, which made it feel like receiving a gift - a lovely touch! The container itself is not too large and has a simple design, which I appreciate. I haven't used it all the way to the bottom yet, so it's not inconvenient, but I imagine it might be tricky to scoop out when it's nearly empty. 2-in-1 Feature: I love that I can adjust the application based on my skin's condition. Due to my dryness, I initially tried a ratio of 2 parts serum to 1 part cream. However, I felt like it wasn't creating enough of a skin barrier, so I switched to 1 part serum and 2 parts cream. I found that applying small amounts at a time, rather than one large application, helped with absorption. Texture: I tried applying just the cream portion, and it spreads smoothly on the skin without feeling heavy or sticky. It has good absorbs well. The serum part looks like a gel serum, but it absorbs into the skin without feeling slippery or sitting on top of the skin, which I really like. Overall: The advantage is that you can adjust the amount of essence, emulsion, and cream all in one product. Rather than applying a lot at once, it's better to mix the amounts as needed and layer small amounts. This allows you to adjust based on your skin's condition each day, which I found very beneficial.
ConsThe scent was very uncomfortable for me. It smelled a bit like medicine, which I found unpleasant. When I tried applying just the cream generously, the scent lingered for too long. I experienced a burning sensation. When I deliberately applied only the cream, I felt a burning sensation and itchiness, so I found that mixing it worked better for me than using the cream alone. After applying the cream, if you touch other objects before washing your hands, it leaves significant fingerprints.
TipOn particularly dry days, I found it helpful to mix in some facial oil with the cream for extra hydration.

The cream looked super rich, and it didn't disappoint! But don't worry, it's not the type that leaves greasy marks on your pillow or makes your face oily. The serum that comes with it is lightweight, creating a perfect balance. The included product guide was really helpful, explaining how to mix the cream and serum in different ratios depending on your skin condition. And can we talk about that color combination? It's absolutely gorgeous!
ConsWhile I appreciate that it's fragrance-free, there's this raw cosmetic scent... kind of like Cetaphil body lotion? It's a bit off-putting. Still, it's much better than having artificial fragrances, so I can live with it.
TipThe cream takes a while to absorb, so rather than using it in the morning, it's perfect for nighttime care in this weather.

When I first received the product, I was genuinely delighted. The packaging was absolutely gorgeous, giving me the feeling of receiving an unexpected gift. (I thought it would make a great year-end gift for friends if I ended up liking it.) Reading through the catalog that came with the product, I found it intriguing that you could mix it according to your skin type. My skin type is combination dehydrated, so I typically focus on hydration, especially in winter. I usually adjust my skincare routine based on my skin's daily condition (basic routine: low pH cleanser - toner pad - skin booster - hyaluronic acid ampoule/niacinamide ampoule - retinol ampoule - moisturizer - cream). While using the Gyeol House Serum and Cream, I boldly skipped 2-3 steps from my usual routine and focused on this cream. I was really impressed that there was no dryness or irritation after use. I particularly loved how soft my skin felt even after waking up. Initially, I mixed the serum and cream in a 1:1 ratio as per the general method. Later, I tried applying them separately, serum first then cream, which also worked well. The serum contains 8 types of hyaluronic acid, while the cream has jojoba oil capsules and dexpanthenol. I found it to be an incredibly efficient product that can balance both hydration and moisture in one go.
ConsIf I had to nitpick, it would be the scent. It's like an essential oil fragrance, which wasn't quite to my liking.
TipMy routine during the 2-week use: First week: Cleansing (low pH cleanser) - toner pad - retinol ampoule - Gyeol House Serum and Cream (1:1 mix) Second week: Cleansing (low pH cleanser) - toner pad - retinol ampoule - Gyeol House Serum (with hyaluronic acid) - Gyeol House Cream (with jojoba oil capsules, panthenol) (used separately, not mixed) If you keep failing to control the amount when mixing, using them separately might be a good option too!
