The hydration is truly amazing. It seems like an essential product for this weather. I've been layering various products to combat dryness, but this one is great because it replenishes both oil and moisture together. I thought the little granules might be bothersome, but they spread easily and absorb right away as you apply. I'm very satisfied with its moisturizing capabilities.
ConsThe scent might be hit or miss for some people. It's hard to describe... maybe like fresh leaves? I'm not a big fan, but it's only noticeable during application and dissipates quickly. It's not an overpowering fragrance, so it's generally inoffensive.

The serum alone felt hydrating, and since it's winter now with lower temperatures, the cool serum was refreshing when my face felt hot. As for the cream, it contains small particles that dissolve as you gently massage it in, absorbing well and providing good hydration. When I woke up in the morning, my skin didn't feel overly oily, but had a nice balance of moisture that seemed well-absorbed. In the mornings, I mixed the serum and cream to my desired consistency, as applying too heavy a layer can cause pilling when applying sunscreen. I loved that I could adjust the blend according to the weather and my skin's needs each day.
ConsThe only downside I found while using it was the scent. It has a peculiar fragrance that, while not overpowering after application, wasn't to my liking when I first applied it.

But finishing with this product (1 part serum, 2 parts cream) has eliminated those issues and prevents dead skin cells from forming. It's now a must-have in my final skincare step. Thinking about the product alone, I can't find any flaws. However, as I mentioned in the downsides, I find myself using more and more of the cream. I suspect this might be common for those with dry skin! What I love most is that despite giving a matte finish rather than making the skin look dewy, it doesn't feel dry at all. It's not sticky, and the velvety smooth feeling is truly amazing! Plus, it has a skin-beautifying effect - how should I describe it? A matte glow...? That kind of feeling. I also value design, and this product's color is so pretty. The packaging is clean and beautiful, which makes me happy every time I open the lid.
ConsWhile the product is perfect, I honestly want to apply it in the morning before makeup (it's great for makeup application!), but it can be a bit of a hassle. So I end up just using the cream... It's innovative and good, but might be slightly inconvenient for those who find it bothersome. There's a risk of the products mixing. Since there's quite a lot initially, it can get on the lid, which is a bit tricky. Also, the scent is really strange. I thought it was just me, but it seems everyone has noticed it. Fortunately, the odd smell is only present during application and disappears quickly. As someone with a keen sense of smell, I can confirm it vanishes instantly, so the fragrance shouldn't be a major issue. However, I'm mentioning it because I think it would have been even better if it were fragrance-free!
TipThe combination of 2 parts cream to 1 part serum is perfect (for dry skin). I use it even more meticulously on important days for flawless makeup application.

Despite this, I really dislike thick textures, heavy creams, and overly nourishing products that are slow to absorb. My skin tends to develop blemishes easily. Packaging: The product arrived with a ribbon-tied shopping bag, which made it feel like receiving a gift - a lovely touch! The container itself is not too large and has a simple design, which I appreciate. I haven't used it all the way to the bottom yet, so it's not inconvenient, but I imagine it might be tricky to scoop out when it's nearly empty. 2-in-1 Feature: I love that I can adjust the application based on my skin's condition. Due to my dryness, I initially tried a ratio of 2 parts serum to 1 part cream. However, I felt like it wasn't creating enough of a skin barrier, so I switched to 1 part serum and 2 parts cream. I found that applying small amounts at a time, rather than one large application, helped with absorption. Texture: I tried applying just the cream portion, and it spreads smoothly on the skin without feeling heavy or sticky. It has good absorbs well. The serum part looks like a gel serum, but it absorbs into the skin without feeling slippery or sitting on top of the skin, which I really like. Overall: The advantage is that you can adjust the amount of essence, emulsion, and cream all in one product. Rather than applying a lot at once, it's better to mix the amounts as needed and layer small amounts. This allows you to adjust based on your skin's condition each day, which I found very beneficial.
ConsThe scent was very uncomfortable for me. It smelled a bit like medicine, which I found unpleasant. When I tried applying just the cream generously, the scent lingered for too long. I experienced a burning sensation. When I deliberately applied only the cream, I felt a burning sensation and itchiness, so I found that mixing it worked better for me than using the cream alone. After applying the cream, if you touch other objects before washing your hands, it leaves significant fingerprints.
TipOn particularly dry days, I found it helpful to mix in some facial oil with the cream for extra hydration.

When I first received the product, I was genuinely delighted. The packaging was absolutely gorgeous, giving me the feeling of receiving an unexpected gift. (I thought it would make a great year-end gift for friends if I ended up liking it.) Reading through the catalog that came with the product, I found it intriguing that you could mix it according to your skin type. My skin type is combination dehydrated, so I typically focus on hydration, especially in winter. I usually adjust my skincare routine based on my skin's daily condition (basic routine: low pH cleanser - toner pad - skin booster - hyaluronic acid ampoule/niacinamide ampoule - retinol ampoule - moisturizer - cream). While using the Gyeol House Serum and Cream, I boldly skipped 2-3 steps from my usual routine and focused on this cream. I was really impressed that there was no dryness or irritation after use. I particularly loved how soft my skin felt even after waking up. Initially, I mixed the serum and cream in a 1:1 ratio as per the general method. Later, I tried applying them separately, serum first then cream, which also worked well. The serum contains 8 types of hyaluronic acid, while the cream has jojoba oil capsules and dexpanthenol. I found it to be an incredibly efficient product that can balance both hydration and moisture in one go.
ConsIf I had to nitpick, it would be the scent. It's like an essential oil fragrance, which wasn't quite to my liking.
TipMy routine during the 2-week use: First week: Cleansing (low pH cleanser) - toner pad - retinol ampoule - Gyeol House Serum and Cream (1:1 mix) Second week: Cleansing (low pH cleanser) - toner pad - retinol ampoule - Gyeol House Serum (with hyaluronic acid) - Gyeol House Cream (with jojoba oil capsules, panthenol) (used separately, not mixed) If you keep failing to control the amount when mixing, using them separately might be a good option too!

As per the product instructions, I mixed it in the 2:1 ratio that's great for oily skin types! In just a day or two, it tightened my pores and packed in the hydration. The ability to adjust the ratio is a real advantage! Even when applied generously, it absorbs quickly. There's not much stickiness to bother you during daily activities, so it feels nice to apply in the morning too.
ConsThe downside is that the lid doesn't open easily. Also, while it seems unscented, there's a sort of 'healthy' scent to it.
TipWhen mixing, if you scoop out 'just enough' of both, it can end up being too much. I found that using slightly less than you think you need of both the cream and serum gives the perfect amount!
