My elementary school child has keratosis pilaris on their legs, and I've been applying this. It's slowly improving the condition.
ConsThe scent is really unpleasant. When it touches the skin, it seems to give off a bad odor.

The emulsion itself is slightly thin but has a consistency that doesn't drip. It spreads smoothly, absorbs well and quickly, and feels comfortable to use overall. The limited number of ingredients could also be seen as a plus point.
ConsHowever, being so light, it might be a bit drying for those with dry skin. Personally, I plan to use it in summer. It seems better suited for dead skin cell management rather than deep hydration. Although I've only used it for a week and couldn't visually confirm its effectiveness on dead skin cells, I sometimes feel a slight tingling sensation when applying, which suggests it's doing something. A word of caution: if you apply it to areas where you've been scratching or have small wounds, it can sting quite a bit. Regarding the scent, which many others have pointed out, to me it smells slightly like a stale steamed bun you'd eat in winter. Thankfully, the smell dissipates once it dries and you put clothes on.

Since it's not a rich formula, I wouldn't recommend it for those with dry skin..!
ConsThe scent was a bit disappointing..! I wouldn't recommend this for those who are sensitive to fragrances,,!

Even when I applied a lot, it didn't leave a white cast, which I really liked. Looking into the ingredients, they seemed good too. I occasionally get blemishes on my back and chest, but this didn't cause any new ones and seemed to soothe existing ones. It absorbs well, and when I apply it all over my body with my hands, there's some residue left, but not excessively. I was particularly satisfied that it didn't leave a slippery feeling on the skin like some emulsions do. I received the product at the tail end of winter when the weather was starting to warm up, but my skin tends to stay scaly on my legs until it's fully warm, so it was perfect for testing. I've tried many products that advertise long-lasting hydration for hours, but they often feel greasy and need reapplication the next day. This emulsion, however, doesn't leave my skin feeling dry even the morning after... it's amazing! It's the first time I've been this satisfied with a body emulsion, so I'm quite impressed. When this runs out, I plan to buy it again. I used to think body emulsions had to be fragrant.
ConsIf I had to pick something, maybe the scent? It has that typical smell of unscented emulsions. It's not bothersome though. I barely noticed it when first applying, but I could smell it when I moved my arm near my face. You can only really notice it if you smell it directly.
TipWhile it may vary from person to person, if you dislike slippery emulsions and struggle with dry, flaky skin, give this a try. All winter, other emulsions left me itchy and dry even with morning and night application, but not this one. It worked well for me, and I'm so glad I was lucky enough to be chosen as a Hwahae Tester and discover such a great product. Lucky me!

It's completely different from any emulsion I've used before. It feels like it's being deeply absorbed into the skin with a delightfully rich texture. There's no sensation of it just sitting on the surface.
ConsThe only downside is the amount... 200ml feels a bit small when you need to apply it all over your body. Considering the price, you might need to use it sparingly.

While I'm not sure about its effectiveness in removing chicken skin or dead skin cells, I found it gentle despite some reviews mentioning it could be irritating. As someone who dislikes sticky skincare products, I appreciated how this one applies moisturizing without any stickiness. I usually avoid using body emulsions because they're a hassle, but this pump-type product absorbs well and is easy to apply without feeling sticky.
ConsThe scent is slightly reminiscent of flour. I didn't really notice much effect in terms of exfoliation.

My body skin type is dry, similar to my face. While I don't have severe dead skin cells, I do experience itchiness when dry, and in extreme cases, I can develop scratches and slight keratosis pilaris. Absorption and application - As someone who uses body emulsion 365 days a year, I found this product amazing. The texture is incredibly smooth. While many moisturizing products tend to be heavy, this one feels light yet doesn't run. It absorbs quickly, isn't sticky, and most importantly, provides excellent hydration. You can expect the effects exactly as described in the product description. Personally, I have a habit of constantly washing my hands, which leaves them in terrible condition. Hand creams aren't enough, so I usually apply facial moisturizers or prescription creams from my dermatologist. However, after layering this product twice before bed, I noticed gradual improvement. The price might seem a bit high for the volume, but I'm considering purchasing it after this trial. That's how good I think this product is. Fragrance - The scent isn't overpowering unless you deliberately sniff it. When I first smelled it before applying, I felt a slight aversion due to its fermented or yeast-like scent, reminiscent of makgeolli (which I'm not fond of). However, once applied to the body, the smell wasn't overwhelming and quickly faded as the product absorbed. (For those sensitive to fragrances, applying a preferred body mist before this product should work well.)
ConsWhile the fragrance aspect was slightly disappointing, as I explained in the positive points, it wasn't a dealbreaker for me. I found out that the fermented scent comes from the lactic acid in the ingredients. It seems safe to use without concern.

My shin skin is dry with a slightly scaly texture, and usually dries out fast no matter what I apply. I only applied lactic acid to my left leg, and after 3-4 hours, it felt noticeably softer. While I don't have keratosis pilaris, I expect this would work well for consistently dry skin with regular use.
ConsI was worried about the scent based on reviews, but I actually prefer this medicinal smell to artificial fragrances, which I find unpleasant and overwhelming.
TipFor extremely dry skin, there's no quick fix... Try intensively moisturizing every 3 hours consistently. Over time, you should be able to extend the interval to 4 or 5 hours while maintaining hydrated skin. Give it a try!

The moisturizing power is truly top-notch.
ConsThe scent is absolutely dreadful. It's seriously unpleasant. As soon as I received the product, I tried to use it, but after squeezing some out and applying it, I immediately had to wash it off due to the smell. I couldn't bear to be around that odor. Despite this... it was genuinely hydrating... sigh. Since I had to evaluate it, I pulled myself together and applied a tiny amount to my heels and elbows. The moisturizing effect is good, but testing it each time is pure torture. I'm extremely sensitive to fragrances, so I absolutely can't use this. How should I describe the smell? It's overwhelming... Although the scent gradually fades after application, that's only because I used it on small areas. If I were to apply it all over my body, the smell is so potent it could make me nauseous. If they could eliminate the odor and re-release the product, I'd be willing to give it another try.

Perfect for sensitive, delicate, and dry skin types. The lactic acid component definitely helps with dead skin cell removal. It's really helpful for managing rough patches on elbows and heels :) The texture is just the right consistency, spreading smoothly and giving a feeling like it's coating your skin in a protective layer. The hydration is undeniably good, and the lasting power is truly amazing. I'm satisfied that I don't feel any dryness all day long. I was a bit worried because I've had redness and slight tingling with other lactic acid products before, but the lactic acid (AHA) in Amlactin didn't cause any blemishes, which was great. The pump-type packaging makes it convenient to use and hygienic!
ConsI'm not usually very sensitive to scents, but I couldn't get used to the unique tangy smell. I thought I'd adjust after about 2 weeks, but every time I use it, I feel a bit disappointed. It doesn't seem like an artificial fragrance, but I think it would be better if this aspect was improved. If you're sensitive to scents, it might be a good idea to test it before buying.
