It's a three-star product, but I could recommend it depending on the price. I tried it for double cleansing after makeup, for removing just sunscreen, and for morning cleansing or after skincare when staying at home. However, its cleansing effectiveness was unclear. It's not strong enough for a first cleanse with makeup on, so I used it in those other ways. If I had felt something distinct when I first used it, I would have written a review quickly. Despite being a basic cleanser - a cleansing water and foam cleanser combo - it felt neither versatile enough for any situation nor specialized for specific uses. It just felt... ambiguous. It reminded me of Clean & Clear cleansing foam from my early teens, just with a more 'adult' scent. Hmm. One definite plus is the generous amount. It's a product that's hard to describe concisely. It wasn't bad, though. The cleansing effectiveness is questionable. For dry skin, when used for no-makeup cleansing or morning cleansing, it leaves the face feeling somewhat tight. For removing sunscreen or as a second cleanse after makeup, it's hard to tell if it's actually doing the job. Even as a Hwahae Tester, I didn't reach for it often beyond intentional testing. The price will be the deciding factor. If it's affordable, the large quantity might make it worth it. Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin, acne marks and redness on cheeks Usage period: 2 weeks Non-irritating (5/5): I thought it was a first-step cleanser since it's called a cleansing water, but I used it after removing makeup. It's truly non-irritating and incredibly gentle. Sensitive skin can use it well without any tingling, increased redness, or dead skin cells flaking off. Cleansing effectiveness (4/5): I prefer a squeaky-clean feel, so I always wondered if it was cleaning well since there's no irritation. Because of this, I found myself using it more comfortably in the morning. User experience (4/5): The pump dispenser is very clean and prevents water stains, which is great! However, since the foam quickly turns into water, I used about two pumps when washing my face. Recommendation? Yes! Texture Is this the new frontier in cleansing waters? The most surprising thing was that this cleansing water comes out as bubbles! Usually, when I'm exhausted and can't be bothered to cleanse, I just fall asleep. But this bubble type is incredibly convenient. I love that you only need to pump twice and gently massage it on your face. Kudos for that! 2. Cleansing effectiveness The cleansing power is excellent. It seems to remove almost everything except mascara. I used BBIA eyeliner and Kiss Me mascara - it completely removed the eyeliner, while some mascara remained. This level of cleansing effectiveness is truly outstanding. 3. Recommended skin type I have combination dehydrated skin - oily on the surface but constantly battling dryness underneath. This cleansing water seems to have a bit of oil? After massaging the foam and wiping it off, I noticed less dryness. I was very satisfied after following up with my hydration routine. Unlike other cleansing waters where you just wipe with a cotton pad, this product requires rinsing with lukewarm water. I solved this by using a moist cleansing wipe. So, I'd even been putting my usual product into a foam dispenser. I prefer to apply the product generously on a cotton pad and wipe my face rather than squeezing it directly onto my hands. That's how I used this product too. Since I use it as a first cleanse, I didn't expect it to remove point makeup, so I focused on how well it removed base makeup. It cleansed quite effectively, and I didn't experience any major blemishes. Sometimes I've had breakouts from using the wrong cleansing products, but not with this one! As others have mentioned, the fragrance was a bit of an issue for me. I'm not particularly fond of scented cleansing products, so that was slightly bothersome. This cleansing water is a game-changer! It's my first time trying a foam-type cleansing water, and it's completely different from what I'm used to. Unlike the sticky liquid types I've used before, this one comes out as a soft, fluffy foam that feels gentle and reminds me of washing with a cleansing foam! Update 25.04.25: After continued use, I've noticed the scent is somewhat familiar and not unpleasant. I'm getting used to it! Plus, it doesn't cause any major irritation even with regular use. Highly recommended! However, I'm not sure about the fragrance. It's not particularly pleasant. Although the instructions say you can use the cleansing water alone, I find rinsing with water afterwards works much better for me. There's that typical cleansing water feeling - a sort of residue that doesn't feel completely clean, so I always finish with a water rinse. But this foam cleanser is great! I can use it like a cleansing foam without cotton pads, and it doesn't irritate my skin at all. The foam comes out easily, and there's plenty of product! The scent is pleasant but also somewhat off-putting? I'm not sure if it removes makeup effectively, so I've been following up with a cleansing foam for a second cleanse. There aren't really any specific drawbacks though.
