It seems to be a decent product for daily use. Texture: It applies lightly like an emulsion and absorbs well. I liked that it finishes without much stickiness and can be easily removed with just a primary cleanse. Blemishes: As someone with sensitive skin that often reacts badly to sun products, I was pleased that this didn't cause any major breakouts. It should be fine to use if your skin barrier isn't too compromised. Eye Irritation: There was no stinging or discomfort when applied around the eyes. White Cast: There's a slight white cast immediately after application, but it's not excessive. As it absorbs, the tone becomes more natural and leaves a subtle glow. Scent: It's unscented, which is nice and clean. Even when I sniffed it up close, I could barely detect any fragrance. Packaging: The wide base of the cap prevents it from tipping over when standing. The tube format allows for hygienic use.
ConsThe main downsides were the significant pilling and the relatively low UV protection. With so many good Korean options available, I probably won't repurchase this once it's finished. Makeup Compatibility: Initially, it seems to adhere well, but over time it pills like dead skin. When I applied cushion foundation over it, my makeup looked patchy. It might be difficult to use under makeup. Sun Protection Factor: With SPF 38 and PA+++, the UV protection isn't particularly high. While this might be due to the gentle formulation, I'd be hesitant to use it on very sunny days. Irritation: Despite being marketed as suitable for children, it caused slight itching on sensitive areas. It might not suit those with extremely sensitive skin. Dryness: After a while, I felt a bit of deep dryness. It might be challenging to use during seasonal changes. Ingredients: It contains phenoxyethanol, a preservative. While considered safer than parabens, some people might still be uncomfortable with it. Portability: While not inconvenient to carry, it's not exactly pocket-sized. It won't fit in a small cosmetic pouch.
TipIt might be suitable for use when not going out for long periods or as a body sunscreen. If using before makeup, ensure you allow plenty of time for it to absorb before applying your base makeup.

It applies smoothly without any stickiness, creating a thin, weightless layer. If you dislike the heavy, suffocating feeling of some sunscreens, you'll likely enjoy this product. It's fragrance-free, so those with sensitive noses can use it without worry. As someone with an oily T-zone and chin, I usually avoid products with high oil content. I'm satisfied with this one as it doesn't feel greasy. If you're not wearing makeup, it might leave a slightly dewy finish. For me, gently blotting with oil-absorbing sheets with powder works perfectly. Considering the finish, it's probably best for use in seasons other than summer.
ConsIt's a bit disappointing that it contains one potentially harmful ingredient and has a lower SPF rating.

I've always known I should use sunscreen, but I dreaded that stuffy, sticky feeling. This product, however, is a game-changer. True to its 50+ years of popularity in humid Japan, it absorbs like an emulsion - not sitting on top of the skin, but sinking in effortlessly. It's so reassuring! The gentle formula is perfect for the whole family. I totally get why it's suitable for everyone now. My husband, who travels a lot, used to complain about sticky sunscreens, but he loves this one. Even my young nieces and nephews use it without any blemishes. It's moisturizing without being sticky. The emulsion-like texture provides long-lasting hydration. You can tell they've really focused on balancing moisture and texture, given it's made for a humid climate. It washes off easily with a light cleanse, making it the least burdensome and most satisfying sunscreen I've ever used. The tube packaging is travel-friendly and clean. It's convenient to use and carry. There's no worry about the cap opening in your bag, and you can use every last drop. The size fits perfectly in your hand, and I'm really pleased with the cap design. Makeup pilling? Not an issue here! Because it absorbs so well like an emulsion, you might overlook a few things: (1) Not patting it in enough (2) Applying too much skincare underneath (3) Applying makeup immediately after sunscreen These would cause pilling with any product. Just check your makeup routine and you'll be fine!
ConsI'm really trying hard to find something to criticize, but it's difficult! I'd recommend this to anyone who's skeptical about sunscreens. You can apply this sunscreen as easily as an emulsion!
TipGiven its emulsion-like texture, you could mix it with your favorite brightening moisturizer or foundation. I sometimes even add a bit to my cushion compact. We all know that reapplication is key for sun protection, no matter how long-lasting the sunscreen claims to be. This one absorbs well without excessive shine, so I highly recommend mixing it with your cushion for touch-ups!

As someone with sensitive skin, I only use mineral sunscreens because organic and hybrid ones cause blemishes for me. This product has decent ingredients and a simple formulation. It's convenient that I can finish cleansing with just a first step on days when I only wear sunscreen, as it saves me from the hassle of using cleansing oil. The absorbs well - it applies lightly and smoothly. When I first tested it on the back of my hand, it felt quite shiny like a primer, but on my face, it provided just a slight tone correction without feeling heavy. For a mineral sunscreen, it leaves almost no white cast, which is impressive. Although I usually prefer sunscreens with a bit of white cast for a bare-faced look when going out, this one gives a natural skin finish. Plus, it feels fresh without any stickiness. I wasn't familiar with this brand before, but it seems to be popular in Japan. I'm satisfied! I think it'll be perfect for spring and summer use.
ConsThe SPF seems a bit low, so it might be best for short outings. You'll need to apply a good base and makeup with this. Like most mineral sunscreens, it can cause makeup to pill slightly.

Sun Protection: SPF38 / PA+++ While 38 might seem relatively low compared to many sunscreens offering SPF50 these days, it still provides about 9 hours of protection. The PA+++ rating also indicates high UVA protection. Unless it's the peak of summer, this should offer decent sun protection for most situations. Application: The fluid texture applies smoothly without any stickiness, creating a very thin, lightweight layer. It's particularly suitable for those with dry skin. Kids would find it easy to apply, and it's also simple to remove, which is a plus.
ConsWhile the SPF isn't necessarily disappointing, there are so many high SPF sunscreens available now that in comparison, this one might give the impression of not providing enough protection.
TipThis sunscreen from Hwahae seems to strike a balance between protection and wearability. It's especially good for those who prefer a lighter feel or have sensitive skin that doesn't tolerate heavier sunscreens well. The ease of application and removal makes it a practical choice for daily use, particularly for children or those new to using sunscreen regularly.

It absorbs naturally without leaving a white cast, which is great. The mildly acidic, low-irritation formula means no eye stinging, and it's gentle enough for the whole family to use - from kids to adults. It's truly a versatile product suitable for all skin types and ages.
ConsTo be honest, I'm not a big fan of milky textures, which is a personal preference rather than a reflection of the product's quality. There's a slight pilling issue that's a bit disappointing. If my skin is particularly dry or my skincare base isn't properly applied, I feel like it might ball up like dead skin cells.
TipWith a UV index of only 38, it might not be strong enough for the upcoming summer. It's best to reapply multiple times for better protection. Just make sure to have a solid skincare base first.

It has a thin, emulsion-like texture that absorbs quickly and feels incredibly light on the skin. The finish is so refreshing, making it perfect for hot summer days. It's also great to use before applying makeup! I highly recommend Minon Mild Gel for those who want to avoid that heavy, uncomfortable feeling during summer.
ConsThe only downside is that the sun protection factor is a bit low at SPF38 PA+++.
TipDue to the lower SPF, I often apply it to my neck rather than my face. The neck can feel really uncomfortable with heavier products, but this gel is just right for that area.

It feels so light, as if you're not wearing anything at all. I think it's best used on its own. The product says it's suitable for children, and I can see why - it seems really gentle. The UV protection is lower than other sunscreens, so I wouldn't recommend it for intense sunny days. It's perfect for comfortable use in spring and autumn. After application, there's a slight white cast and a nice glow. I'd recommend this for students who want a natural tone-up effect or for those with super sensitive skin - it looks really natural.
ConsThe low UV protection might make it challenging to use in summer.
TipThis product seems perfect for autumn. Its water-like texture keeps your skin hydrated and absorbs well.

They were taken right after application and after some time had passed, for your reference. ✔️I'm currently under dermatological care, so proper sun protection is crucial. As I wear makeup daily, I'm quite particular about sunscreen textures. This product applies incredibly lightly. It absorbs like a hydrating moisturizer and feels just as comfortable. The finish is wonderfully matte. On my skin, it feels somewhat like a makeup primer. I love how it creates a smooth base that evens out my complexion. ✔️Whether you apply a little or a lot, it spreads easily like a serum and absorbs well. No white cast ❌. It just absorbs into the skin with a slight glow. The primer-like effect I mentioned earlier gives the impression of neatly refining pores. ✔️It's hydrating. After application, I noticed a glow appearing on my cheekbones and forehead areas. It's more of a dewy, hydrated glow. Among the sunscreens I use, both mineral and chemical, the mineral ones can feel heavy, and the chemical ones can be greasy. This one, however, isn't heavy at all and has zero oiliness. It just sits lightly and comfortably on the skin. ✔️It's labeled as suitable for children too, which is great because it's paraben-free, free of harmful ingredients, and gentle. ✔️My mom tried it on some age spots on her hands, and she liked that it wasn't sticky and felt like she wasn't wearing anything. There's absolutely no stickiness. ✔️The lightweight and comfortable formula doesn't pill under makeup. In fact, it helps foundation apply more smoothly and improves its adherence. I'm very satisfied and continue to use it.
Cons✔️The SPF38 PA+++ sun protection factor is a bit on the lower side, which is disappointing. However, since I layer sunscreen, foundation with SPF, and other base products, this level is fine for me. It might be good to apply additional sun protection products on top of this.
TipYou can skip your regular moisturizer and use this as your base. It provides enough hydration and helps makeup adhere well. It seems to smooth out skin texture and even out the complexion to some extent.
