I usually don't wear makeup when I go out, just sunscreen. With mineral sunscreens, there's always a risk of looking like a ghost if you're not careful. But this product doesn't leave much of a white cast, which I really appreciate. It's my first time using a pump-type sunscreen, and even when I accidentally over-applied, the white cast wasn't overwhelming. So even if you mess up the amount a bit, it's still forgiving. The cream has a slight green tint, but it's invisible once applied. It just gives a natural brightening effect. And it's incredibly hydrating! The moisturizing formula makes for easy application. While it's not completely lightweight, it's remarkably smooth for a mineral sunscreen. After application, you're left with a natural, dewy glow. As a bonus, like many mineral sunscreens, it seems to have a slight skin-perfecting effect, making your complexion look more even.
ConsThe scent is a bit... I'm not sure if it's the houttuynia cordata, but it's not the typical mineral sunscreen smell. It's more of an odd, though not unpleasant, scent. Fortunately, it's only noticeable when you first pump it out and fades once applied. While it starts off feeling moisturizing, over time it can feel a bit greasy. My previous mineral sunscreen was less hydrating initially, but it blended nicely with my skin's natural oils over time for a natural glow. This one, however, can look a bit too shiny or oily as the day goes on. Additionally, after a while, it tended to leave a white residue around the sides of my nose.
TipWhen choosing a sunscreen, it's important to consider your skin type and daily activities. While this product has many positive attributes, those with oily skin or those who spend long hours outdoors might want to test it thoroughly before committing. Remember, the best sunscreen is the one you'll use consistently, so find one that works well with your skin and lifestyle.
