This review is to document a product that didn't work for me and to check its ingredients -- Suspected incompatible ingredients -- F: Stearic acid, Palmitic acid S: Cyclohexasiloxane O: (Squalane), (Olive oil)

I splurged on it despite the high price, but my skin only got worse. Painful, inflamed blemishes and hard, cystic acne started popping up everywhere. The jar is huge though - it seemed never-ending. I ended up stashing away about half of it before finally tossing it out. When I used this, my skin was combination dehydrated with severe deep dryness. Most products couldn't solve my dryness, but this Kiehl's cream was uniquely over-moisturizing and left my skin feeling too rich. It might work well for those with extremely dry skin. I'm not sure why the ingredients are like that, but it's loaded with parabens and heavy oils like almond oil, olive oil, and squalane - they really threw in everything but the kitchen sink. It seems the product has been reformulated, though I'm not certain if the ingredients are the same. It absorbs beautifully! When I apply a generous amount before bed, I wake up with incredibly soft skin! There's a slight tingling sensation after application, but it subsides after a while. About a decade ago, this moisturizer was hyped up by the media as the best-selling cream across all department stores, which piqued my curiosity enough to buy it. Considering its fame back then, it's quite a stark contrast to see how its popularity has plummeted, overshadowed by newer K-beauty products. It's truly a sign of changing times! Getting to the point, it's a fragrance-free product with a white texture that absorbs well. However, even with my super resilient skin, it occasionally caused a tingling sensation. I couldn't really tell if it was particularly hydrating either. Honestly, I'd say the L'Oreal moisturizer from the same parent company offers much better value for money. While it's relatively inexpensive for a department store cosmetic, I only used one bottle and didn't feel compelled to repurchase. Though it's cheap for a department store brand, the value for money isn't great. Despite its gentle image, it's actually quite irritating. It's incredibly hydrating without causing deep dryness! Even when I'm too lazy to apply other skincare products, just using this Ultra Facial Cream alone quickly moisturizes my skin without any dryness! I found it to be deeply hydrating and moisturizing. It really quenches my skin's thirst. When my skin is acting up, it can feel a bit tingly. I suppose that's a sign my skin isn't at its best. It absorbs well and feels hydrating since it's a moisturizer. I'm already on my second bottle. I don't feel like it dramatically improves my skin.
