Perfect for both warm and cool tones! I have a cool skin tone, but this burgundy shade with a hint of orange would suit warm tones too. The color is sophisticated yet subtle, making it easy to wear. I highly recommend it as a daily lip color! 2. Application The oily texture makes it glide on smoothly with minimal emphasis on dead skin cells. I struggle with chapped lips year-round, making it hard to find suitable lipsticks, but this one works great for me! Of course, like all lipsticks, you need to exfoliate, and it may show some texture over time. Still, it has the best application of any lip product I've tried! 3. Packaging Yves Saint Laurent's signature gold case! It's luxurious and mesmerizing - absolutely gorgeous. The gold case almost makes you forget the steep price. I especially love how the simple design with the elegant logo embossing elevates my makeup pouch.
Cons1. Fading It doesn't wear off gracefully over time. You'll need to touch up frequently. Also, despite its oily texture, it doesn't adhere to the lips very well. 2. Price While it's beautiful, the price is truly wicked... I wish they'd lower it a bit or have more frequent sales!

In my opinion, this has the best texture among YSL lip products. It applies with an oily feel but sets to a matte finish without drying out the lips. It feels comfortable, applies smoothly, and blends well for a beautiful gradient effect. It fills in lip lines nicely while gliding on softly and has great staying power! The color is also lovely - it's a red with a hint of pink, reminiscent of a rose. It's truly an attractive and sophisticated shade.
ConsWhile the longevity is good, as it fades over time, it doesn't wear off very attractively. Also, despite being a matte lipstick, it feels oily when applied, so the adherence isn't particularly impressive.
TipAs you can see in the photos, when applied as a full lip color, it leans more towards a vibrant red. That's why I prefer using it as a gradient lip. When used this way, it gives a delicate look, almost as if your lips are naturally stained with a rosy hue. I like to apply MAC's Kind of Sexy as a base and then gently pat this on top with a lip brush.
