1. Perfect for both warm and cool tones! I have a cool skin tone, but this burgundy shade with a hint of orange would suit warm tones too. The color is sophisticated yet subtle, making it easy to wear. I highly recommend it as a daily lip color! 2. Application The oily texture makes it glide on smoothly with minimal emphasis on dead skin cells. I struggle with chapped lips year-round, making it hard to find suitable lipsticks, but this one works great for me! Of course, like all lipsticks, you need to exfoliate, and it may show some texture over time. Still, it has the best application of any lip product I've tried! 3. Packaging Yves Saint Laurent's signature gold case! It's luxurious and mesmerizing - absolutely gorgeous. The gold case almost makes you forget the steep price. I especially love how the simple design with the elegant logo embossing elevates my makeup pouch. 1. Fading It doesn't wear off gracefully over time. You'll need to touch up frequently. Also, despite its oily texture, it doesn't adhere to the lips very well. 2. Price While it's beautiful, the price is truly wicked... I wish they'd lower it a bit or have more frequent sales! - sk********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 9, 2018
It's not drying and has excellent color payoff! The red shade is truly stunning! I can't really think of any downsides. I've never regretted purchasing an Yves Saint Laurent lip product! - si*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 7, 2018
I bought this YSL Rouge Pur Couture lipstick from Sephora overseas - it might not be available in Korea, unfortunately! The shade is 04-Rouge Vermillon, a gorgeous raspberry red. It's a beautiful mix of bright red with a hint of burgundy. It suits both warm and cool complexions, and as someone with a warm undertone, I find it looks great! It might be a bit intense for those with very fair skin, but it's perfect for tanned or slightly darker complexions. It would be stunning for a glamorous makeup look. The color payoff is excellent, and the shade is so pretty that I find myself reaching for it often. It's not a full-on brick or burgundy, but more of a toned-down vibrant red. The staying power is impressive too. It's moisturizing, so it doesn't feel dry, and it lasts longer than other YSL lip tints or lipsticks. It also transfers less to cups when drinking. The scent is lovely, and the gold case is absolutely beautiful! The pigmentation is so intense that you need to be careful with application. A full lip might be too bold for those with fair complexions - they might prefer using it for a gradient effect. The price is quite high, but it does last a long time. Using a lip brush or cotton swab to apply a thin layer makes it easier to control the amount and achieve a natural gradient lip look. - aa******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 18, 2018
The color payoff is fantastic, and despite being a matte lipstick, it doesn't accentuate dead skin cells. If it weren't for the high price tag, this would truly be the best of the best items. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 18, 2018
While the staying power isn't exceptional, the color is beautiful and it applies with great pigmentation It has a sour scent reminiscent of the fermented smell found in YSL lipsticks and tints - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 3, 2018
I have sensitive lips prone to dead skin cells, but I only use YSL! MAC and Armani products caused severe flaking, and Bobbi Brown's colors weren't particularly flattering. After my go-to long-lasting Tattoo Velvet Lip Tint was discontinued, I was at a loss, but this turned out to be the best replacement. I tried my friend's by chance, and for a lip product, it has impressive staying power. Apart from touching up after eating, I only need to reapply 2-3 times a day! It applies sheer but doesn't settle into lines, turn white, or emphasize dead skin cells, which I love. What's especially great about YSL is that as time passes, the color magically adjusts to complement your complexion. While I always like the initial shade, it naturally evolves to match my skin tone even better over time. That's why I keep repurchasing it! The only downside is the prevalence of counterfeits. Oh, and it's a shame that limited edition shades like 512 (I think that was the number) aren't readily available in Korea. Still, there are so many beautiful colors to choose from, which makes it fun to use! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 30, 2018
This lipstick fades beautifully! It lasts effortlessly until evening. The color payoff is great, and it has the effect of making your face look radiant. There's nothing bad to say! Although, the case scratches easily, and those scratch marks are quite noticeable. - se*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 23, 2018
The color payoff is absolutely amazing. The lipstick case is so beautiful and luxurious, it's sure to turn heads. As expected from Yves Saint Laurent, it comes with a hefty price tag. Keep in mind that since it's not a tint, the staying power isn't particularly outstanding. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedSep 9, 2018
The color you see when you open the cap matches almost perfectly with how it looks when applied to your lips. The staying power is also quite good. The price is a bit steep, and you might find similar products in regular beauty stores. It tends to accentuate lip lines. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedAug 25, 2018
Despite being a matte lipstick, it absorbs beautifully and the color is gorgeous! As time passes, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells, and the staying power seems a bit weak
