ConsWhen I first applied it, there was a slight tingling sensation. However, after using it for a day or two, that feeling disappeared.
TipYou might experience a bit of tingling at first, but the more you use it, that sensation goes away. I really liked that it wasn't sticky at all.

It's truly the worst of the worst. Even for oily skin, it's terrible.
ConsThe absorption is absolutely dreadful. After application, there's a burning sensation and tingling. It causes inflammatory blemishes and makes my skin extremely oily.
TipI bought sunscreens from Dr.G and Avène. While Dr.G works well for me, the Avène one is a disaster.

ConsMy face felt a burning sensation and irritated, so I had to cleanse it off right away. Those with sensitive skin, please be careful!

ConsFor some reason, it makes my face tingle when I apply it, which I didn't like

I highly recommend this for those with dry skin.
ConsWell... The downside is that those with super sensitive skin might experience a slight tingling sensation when first using it. Also, it might not be the best fit for those with oily skin (it's somewhere between hydrating and rich).
TipTry mixing it with your moisturizer!

It was too harsh for me to use.
ConsI bought this Avène product at duty-free because I heard it was gentle, but it stung so badly right after application that I only used it three times before giving it to a friend. While my skin is sensitive to irritation, I've never experienced anything like this before, which really surprised me. The first time I used it, I thought I was imagining things. The second time, I realized the sunscreen was causing the stinging. I tried it a third time just to confirm if it was really this product causing the issue, and sure enough, the burning sensation was there again. As much as I hated to waste it, I had to give up on using it...

ConsIt stings, especially around the nose area. It feels too oily, and the texture is sticky when applied.

I'm studying abroad and had trouble finding the sunscreen I used in Korea, so I bought this one trying to find a similar texture and formula. But I made the wrong choice.
ConsIt's a bit oily, and it stings my face terribly when I apply it. I'm a bit slow on the uptake, so I stupidly kept using it until my face completely broke out. Those with super sensitive skin should avoid this. If you're considering it, please make sure to patch test before purchasing. It's extremely irritating, causes a burning sensation, and my blemishes exploded.

Unlike other sunscreens that initially feel fine but start irritating the eyes after a few hours, this one doesn't cause any discomfort even when worn all day and into the night. (I've been alternating between Missha Essence Sun, Shiseido Anessa Gold - they're both great, but my eyes start stinging after a few hours with those.) It doesn't pill like dead skin cells. I haven't tried applying makeup over it, so I can't comment on that aspect.
ConsThere is a white cast. If you don't pat it in while applying, it can clump up when mixed with emulsion and become difficult to spread. For the first day or two, my face felt tingly and I considered stopping use, but it seems I've adapted and it's fine now.
TipIf you experience eye irritation after wearing sunscreen for a while, give this one a try.

I've had about 6 Avène sunscreens, but I chose this one. It's hydrating with a slight oiliness, but not excessive, and doesn't pill when layering other products. There's minimal white cast, and the scent isn't bad... it smells clean and fresh.
ConsWhen applied, my face burns and stings terribly, especially around the nose. But after continued use, I seem to have adapted and it doesn't sting anymore, haha! Sorry, skin... The price also forces you to use it even if it hurts. By the way, the harmful ingredients are ridiculous - if the sun protection ingredients are bad when exposed to sunlight, what's the point?
TipMake sure to patch test before purchasing.
