I'm a fan of Ceraderm's Black Peel products, but regular peeling can be a hassle to wash off and too harsh for daily use. This product, however, is perfect as a spot treatment for everyday use without the need to rinse. It's convenient and gentle enough for regular application. The small size makes it portable, so I can easily carry it around for on-the-go blemish care. While it has a tangy scent due to the black vinegar, it dissipates quickly. I've noticed it really helps reduce inflammation and soothes my skin effectively. I'm not too fond of the tangy smell. Also, I tend to avoid using it when I'm going out. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 25, 2025
I first tried this at the hospital and have been using it consistently for over 7 years. When applied after extraction, scabs fall off faster. It calms inflammatory acne and seems to be the best for preventing scars. I've gone through more than 10 bottles and keep refilling. I feel anxious without it and always repurchase before it runs out. The scent is like vinegar, unfortunately. The quantity is too small, but it lasts a long time since I only apply it as a spot treatment. When dabbed on as a spot treatment after extraction, scabs fall off faster, promoting quicker healing. It seems to have a peeling or exfoliating effect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 18, 2020
I bought this because it's supposed to be good for blemishes. While it doesn't work on small bumps, it's effective in calming down emerging breakouts. The vinegar smell is a bit off-putting, but if it's good for my skin, I can tolerate it! The quantity is quite small, and it's a bit challenging to apply. I apply this on top of my night cream in the evening. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 29, 2019
My face was in terrible condition, so I got a dermatologist's diagnosis. I used this product morning and evening for a week. While other products I used might have contributed, the calming effect was truly remarkable! It seems to live up to its claims of disinfecting and controlling sebum. My extremely oily skin has become much less greasy. The bottle is small but shaped like eye drops, and you apply it by tapping, so the amount is sufficient. I've used it all over my face and there's still plenty left. If my skin acts up again in the future (hopefully not!), I'll definitely use this product again. Actually, a friend recommended it to me, and we're both raving about how effective it is! It has a scent similar to vinegar. You get used to it for the sake of your skin... haha! Also, the doctor mentioned that scabs might form while using it, but I didn't experience any. Just mentioning it in case it's helpful for others. I applied this essence after my toner. The doctor said it might sting a bit, so if it's too much, you can use it after your emulsion. I received this along with an enzyme powder from the dermatologist. For cleansing, I used Safe Me Relief Moisture Foam Cleansing to maintain the right pH balance (I don't wear makeup, so I keep my cleansing routine simple). For skincare, I used Primera Organience, and for cream, I used Red Blemish Clear Cream (which I already had and like). I focused on products that don't clog pores. It seems to work even better when used with products that control sebum, as it helps manage oiliness. - Hwahae UserOily SkinJun 13, 2019
It's great for calming blemishes. They often clear up quickly. It stings quite a bit, which might take you by surprise. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 4, 2018
The watery texture absorbs well into the skin. It's definitely top-notch for calming blemishes and reducing pigmentation. Great value for money too! The vinegar-like scent is noticeable. Also, it's quite runny and tends to drip. But you get used to it after a while. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 12, 2017
This is my third purchase, and I'm leaving a review. It's a lifesaver for me, as I've struggled with blemishes. Sometimes, after using the product, I wake up the next day and the irritation has already subsided, but usually it takes 2-3 days to calm down. When I first used it, the strong vinegar scent was quite difficult to get used to. However, after about a week, the smell faded and it was no longer an issue. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 2, 2016
This is the first time I've seen a product that works so well just a day after using it at the dermatologist's office. It's really great - an essential item I can't live without, so I've repurchased it 3 times!! It works well even just by applying it, but I think it's even better when you squeeze it out and apply it. I really, really love it. It's a bit hard to find, which is a bit disappointing, and the amount is small so it gets used up quickly. It has a vinegar-like smell, but you get used to it and it's not much of an issue. You have to shake it before using, and I'd recommend squeezing it out and applying it. I bought it for 10,000 won at the dermatologist's office, but it's a bit more expensive online. I'd recommend buying it at the dermatologist's office. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 10, 2016
Rather than suppressing inflammation, applying a small amount over a wide area when there is excessive sebum production can help calm the skin the next day. As summer is approaching, my sebum production has increased again, so I purchased something from the dermatologist. The smell... but it's tolerable. It seems like I've built up a resistance after using it for a while, so I stopped using it for a few months before buying it again. - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 1, 2016
The spot treatment that's like a lullaby, gently calming the occasional breakouts around the hairline. Although it stings quite a bit when applied after the inflammation has surfaced, a sense of peace soon follows. This is an item that those without skin troubles won't need to use. It's too runny, so it's better to use cotton swabs or the like to apply it to the targeted areas.
