I tried this on my neck where I had small bumps and hard sebum when squeezed, and it's been a game-changer! Everything disappeared, and my skin became super soft. So I applied it to my nose too, and those stubborn white, hardened sebum plugs vanished. Of course, it didn't shrink my pores, but preventing hard sebum from clogging and enlarging them is a big win in itself. The vinegar smell is overwhelming! The amount is very small, and the runny texture makes it tricky to apply. It feels wasteful to use it generously on cotton pads. I apply it quickly by dropping a single drop on each fingertip and spreading it on my face. It's too precious to use with cotton pads given the small amount. Instead of applying it last, try using it right after cleansing, followed by a rose serum. This way, you won't suffocate from the vinegar smell when wearing a mask! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 5, 2019
It quickly calms down blemishes. I tried it because it contains tetrazasmonic acid. They say it softens sebum. The smell is unpleasant, and it's extremely harsh when used with products like Stiva. I stopped using Stiva and tried this again, and it was good. Apply it only to areas where you have blemishes. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 29, 2019
My face was in terrible condition, so I got a dermatologist's diagnosis. I used this product morning and evening for a week. While other products I used might have contributed, the calming effect was truly remarkable! It seems to live up to its claims of disinfecting and controlling sebum. My extremely oily skin has become much less greasy. The bottle is small but shaped like eye drops, and you apply it by tapping, so the amount is sufficient. I've used it all over my face and there's still plenty left. If my skin acts up again in the future (hopefully not!), I'll definitely use this product again. Actually, a friend recommended it to me, and we're both raving about how effective it is! It has a scent similar to vinegar. You get used to it for the sake of your skin... haha! Also, the doctor mentioned that scabs might form while using it, but I didn't experience any. Just mentioning it in case it's helpful for others. I applied this essence after my toner. The doctor said it might sting a bit, so if it's too much, you can use it after your emulsion. I received this along with an enzyme powder from the dermatologist. For cleansing, I used Safe Me Relief Moisture Foam Cleansing to maintain the right pH balance (I don't wear makeup, so I keep my cleansing routine simple). For skincare, I used Primera Organience, and for cream, I used Red Blemish Clear Cream (which I already had and like). I focused on products that don't clog pores. It seems to work even better when used with products that control sebum, as it helps manage oiliness. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 23, 2016
Last summer, my skin was completely flipped, so I went to a dermatologist and they gave me a free 5-session package. By combining dermatological treatment with the sessions, my acne improved within 3 treatments, with 1 session per week. The aesthetician said there was nothing left to extract by the 4th session, and just provided soothing packs and sebum management. Visually, my skin became much smoother. They also helped clear my acne without leaving any pigmentation. In the winter, I couldn't go out without makeup due to acne scars, but with BB cream, I could achieve porcelain-like smooth skin. My friends complimented my improved skin, and I was so happy every time I looked in the mirror. After finishing the products, I've just been managing with toner, lotion, and moisturizer. But this year during the seasonal change, cystic and closed comedonal acne came back (seems like the cleansing product was the issue), so I repurchased (around mid-April) and now the cystic acne is just one on my forehead, and the closed comedones are just a little on my forehead. You'll see the effects just after 3 weeks of use!! 100% will repurchase! The vinegar smell may be off-putting to someone trying it for the first time. But seeing the changing skin, the smell is nothing at all haha Shake before use. Use only at night! They say not to use it during the day? I have combination dehydrated skin and often get breakouts. I used to use the Migang Soo cleansing line, but it didn't seem to suit me, so now I just remove eye makeup with a remover and cleanse my face twice (three times on thicker days) with the Lookme grapefruit soap. Then I apply the spot treatment directly on my face without anything else, and gently pat it in. Once the spots have dried a bit, I apply the Cellusion C Post Alpha Moisture Oxygen product and go to sleep! I don't use toner or lotion, as I don't like the heavy feeling of layering too many products. It might just be in my head, but I feel like my acne even gets worse from that... Haha. I saw on Hwahae that the moisturizer I'm using has some questionable ingredients, but my skin has still improved using it! Make sure to know your skin type and ingredients well before deciding! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 10, 2016
Rather than suppressing inflammation, applying a small amount over a wide area when there is excessive sebum production can help calm the skin the next day. As summer is approaching, my sebum production has increased again, so I purchased something from the dermatologist. The smell... but it's tolerable. It seems like I've built up a resistance after using it for a while, so I stopped using it for a few months before buying it again.
