It feels a bit wasteful to use as an exfoliating toner, so I can't bring myself to soak a cotton pad with it.

The Sekkisei Brightening Essence Emulsion absorbs like a hydrating toner. It's best to pat it in rather than wipe it off. The texture is like rice water with a slight viscosity. The fragrance is also delightful!

If you have dry skin, you might find it doesn't provide enough hydration. It's more of a lightweight formula.

I love the scent of Sekkisei's toner. It has a light, refreshing feel that might not be ideal for those with dry skin, but could be great for people prone to blemishes. I really want to recommend Sekkisei's face mask because it's amazing, but I'm sad I can't review it here since it's not listed.

When applied generously with a cotton pad and patted onto the skin, it provides a refreshing burst of hydration. The large bottle (I bought the 500ml size!) seems to last forever, even with liberal use.

When I received this as a gift, I was told it was a brightening product. However, I noticed it was quicker at smoothing out my skin texture than brightening. That's not to say it doesn't brighten - the effect just appears gradually. One day, I looked in the mirror and thought, 'Huh? Is my complexion a bit brighter?!' And yes, it definitely was!
