I first tried this as a hotel amenity and fell in love with it. It's moisturizing and feels refreshing. I have sensitive skin, but this didn't cause any blemishes! The Sekkisei Brightening Essence Emulsion absorbs like a hydrating toner. It's best to pat it in rather than wipe it off. The texture is like rice water with a slight viscosity. The fragrance is also delightful! It feels a bit wasteful to use as an exfoliating toner, so I can't bring myself to soak a cotton pad with it.

I really want to recommend Sekkisei's face mask because it's amazing, but I'm sad I can't review it here since it's not listed. When applied generously with a cotton pad and patted onto the skin, it provides a refreshing burst of hydration. The large bottle (I bought the 500ml size!) seems to last forever, even with liberal use. I've been using this for several years now, applying it only before bed. The brightening effect is truly excellent. I bought this for its brightening effects since I don't have super sensitive skin. The brightening effect is absolutely amazing! If we're just looking at its whitening power, it's a perfect 10 out of 10! For those with sensitive skin, daily use might not be advisable. This is truly excellent for oily skin! I used to get at least 3 new blemishes every time, and my acne was no joke. I've been trying various skincare products lately, but wow - after using this for two and a half months, this is the first month I haven't had a single breakout! I've been using only the Acness Powder In Skin to cleanse, followed by applying this product about three times, without any other essence or cream. I did this for a month, and it seems to suit my skin perfectly. I'm maintaining clear skin this month... The fact that I haven't had any breakouts for the first time... I'm so happy that I'm planning to stick with this toner for a while. The price?! Well, using just two types of toners instead of various essences and creams is relatively cheaper. I absolutely adore the scent of this product. I buy it in bulk and use it as an exfoliating toner, or to dampen cotton pads when applying emulsions or creams. Occasionally, I even use it as a face mask. Despite the high alcohol content that might suggest it could be harsh, I keep using it because of the fragrance. The alcohol smell is overwhelmingly strong, as if they've poured an excessive amount into it. It's refreshing to use as a mask in summer by soaking a cotton pad generously with the product.
