  Pros

  The Sekkisei Brightening Essence Emulsion absorbs like a hydrating toner. It's best to pat it in rather than wipe it off. The texture is like rice water with a slight viscosity. The fragrance is also delightful!

  Cons

  It feels a bit wasteful to use as an exfoliating toner, so I can't bring myself to soak a cotton pad with it.

  Pros

  I absolutely adore the scent of this product. I buy it in bulk and use it as an exfoliating toner, or to dampen cotton pads when applying emulsions or creams. Occasionally, I even use it as a face mask. Despite the high alcohol content that might suggest it could be harsh, I keep using it because of the fragrance.

  Cons

  The alcohol smell is overwhelmingly strong, as if they've poured an excessive amount into it.

  Tip

  It's refreshing to use as a mask in summer by soaking a cotton pad generously with the product.
