  Pros

  When applied generously with a cotton pad and patted onto the skin, it provides a refreshing burst of hydration. The large bottle (I bought the 500ml size!) seems to last forever, even with liberal use.

  Cons

  There's a strong whiff of alcohol when you open it... and the moisturizing power isn't as impressive as I'd hoped.

  Pros

  I absolutely adore the scent of this product. I buy it in bulk and use it as an exfoliating toner, or to dampen cotton pads when applying emulsions or creams. Occasionally, I even use it as a face mask. Despite the high alcohol content that might suggest it could be harsh, I keep using it because of the fragrance.

  Cons

  The alcohol smell is overwhelmingly strong, as if they've poured an excessive amount into it.

  Tip

  It's refreshing to use as a mask in summer by soaking a cotton pad generously with the product.

  Pros

  When I received this as a gift, I was told it was a brightening product. However, I noticed it was quicker at smoothing out my skin texture than brightening. That's not to say it doesn't brighten - the effect just appears gradually. One day, I looked in the mirror and thought, 'Huh? Is my complexion a bit brighter?!' And yes, it definitely was! That's how it works.

  Cons

  The alcohol scent is so strong it feels like it's piercing your nose - it's truly painful! I really didn't want to use it because of this, but I persevered and finished the whole bottle. Due to the overwhelming alcohol fragrance, I probably won't repurchase.

  It's moisturizing and absorbs really well. I'm excited to try it since it's so famous in Japan for its brightening effects!

  Pros

  The occasional blemishes and small pimples that used to appear have cleared up. This product suits my skin so well that I feel uneasy without it now. I've been using it consistently for about 5 years. I tried other products I received as gifts twice during that time, but this one is still the best.

  Cons

  There's an alcohol scent. However, as I continued using the product and was satisfied with it, I became less sensitive to the smell.

  Tip

  If you soak a cotton pad generously and apply it like a sheet mask, it provides excellent brightening, soothing, and hydration effects.

  I'm not sure about its brightening effects, and my skin tends to get a bit red after application, so for me it's just an okay product.
