A fantastic MLBB item for warm skin tones! I bought it after seeing Espoir at Olive Young and wow, it's so pretty... The color might look questionable at first, but once applied, it's gorgeous! It's a subtle coral-orange with a hint of beige - perfect for daily wear. Highly recommended, especially for fall, winter, and early spring! I haven't found a lip product that perfectly matches this shade, but other Espoir lip colors come close. It's the ultimate effortlessly chic item! While it's not a stiff formula and has a nice creamy texture, it dries matte after application. It can emphasize dead skin cells when your lips are dry, which is unfortunate since it's meant to be a fall/winter daily item, and those seasons are particularly dry. The gradation of color is beautiful though, so that makes up for it. Oh, and my cool-toned friends didn't like it when they tried mine - they said it made them look sallow. When you want to glam it up a bit, mix this shade with the (Red Brick) color from the same line - it's absolutely stunning! Since the Modest shade isn't too vibrant and has a muted tone with not-so-great staying power, you can use Modest as a base and dab Red Brick on the inner part of your lips, or just blend them together for a full lip look. Both ways look beautiful! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 1, 2019
The color is absolutely gorgeous!! This is a must-have base item for warm-toned beauties. It's truly amazing when you apply this as a first layer and then top it with MAC Chili or BBIA Last Velvet Lip Tint in Bossy Boss. When applied alone, it can make you look a bit sickly. Also, the absorption wasn't as good as I expected, unfortunately. Gently pat it onto your lips - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 28, 2019
The color is absolutely gorgeous... It's the epitome of autumn warm tone. It's the perfect warm-toned fall lipstick with an orange+beige blend! It's not too matte and applies smoothly. I also love how the Espoir lipstick snaps right into place with its magnetic closure! Since it's a color that particularly suits autumn, I hesitate to use it in other seasons... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 4, 2019
Absolutely perfect as a daily lip color! I've been using this shade as my go-to for three years now. As someone with a deep undertone and tanned complexion, I find this lip color versatile enough to wear all year round. I've tried both matte and moisturizing formulas, but this shade seems to look the most beautiful in either finish. When using the matte formula, be sure to exfoliate your lips first, as it may accentuate dead skin cells! I also use it as a blush, and the color is truly stunning. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 9, 2019
This lipstick is so amazing that I've bought it for the third time, using it until it's completely worn down. The color is perfect - a warm orange MLBB shade that's somehow uniquely beautiful, making it gorgeous no matter when you wear it! I prefer matte lips, so this was even better for me. Modest is truly the best! There wasn't really anything disappointing about it. It doesn't even emphasize dead skin cells much! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 21, 2019
The color is beautiful! The tone is wonderfully muted, making it the best MLB lipstick. It suits deep undertones perfectly. It's extremely matte, so a lip balm is absolutely necessary. If you want to highlight your dead skin cells, I'd recommend this. Also, when I wear this, everyone asks if I've forgotten to put on lipstick. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinNov 16, 2018
It adheres perfectly to deep undertones! The application is fantastic, and while the staying power seems average, the color payoff is absolutely gorgeous when applied. I'm in love with how beautiful it looks! I wish the staying power lasted a bit longer. Also, if you apply it too forcefully, the lipstick can break. Its fragility when subjected to impact is a bit of a drawback. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 23, 2018
As autumn rolls in, I've pulled out my Modest lipstick again and I'm here to share my thoughts! First off, the color is absolutely perfect for fall - it's like it was made for this season! The matte finish is beautifully done, not overly drying. When your lips are in good condition, it applies so smoothly, giving that gorgeous blurred effect. It's like a soft focus filter for your lips! Wearing Modest alone can be a bit underwhelming. To really make it pop, I recommend applying a darker shade on the inner part of your lips and blending it out for a beautiful gradient effect. Try using a deeper MLBB (My Lips But Better) shade on the inner part of your lips - the result is truly stunning! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 2, 2018
It really sets the mood! The color payoff is fantastic. If you have a warm skin tone, it's absolutely perfect for you. It feels a bit heavy on the skin. For cool-toned folks, it might not be the best match. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 29, 2018
This lip color is absolutely perfect for warm skin tones. It's especially flattering on those with a golden warm undertone. While it applies smoothly at first, it dries to a matte finish over time. The packaging is disappointingly flimsy. I've repurchased this three times, and each time either the lip product separated from the container or the packaging itself broke. For best application, moisturize your lips with a hydrating lip balm beforehand.
