A fantastic MLBB item for warm skin tones! I bought it after seeing Espoir at Olive Young and wow, it's so pretty... The color might look questionable at first, but once applied, it's gorgeous! It's a subtle coral-orange with a hint of beige - perfect for daily wear. Highly recommended, especially for fall, winter, and early spring! I haven't found a lip product that perfectly matches this shade, but other Espoir lip colors come close. It's the ultimate effortlessly chic item! While it's not a stiff formula and has a nice creamy texture, it dries matte after application. It can emphasize dead skin cells when your lips are dry, which is unfortunate since it's meant to be a fall/winter daily item, and those seasons are particularly dry. The gradation of color is beautiful though, so that makes up for it. Oh, and my cool-toned friends didn't like it when they tried mine - they said it made them look sallow. When you want to glam it up a bit, mix this shade with the (Red Brick) color from the same line - it's absolutely stunning! Since the Modest shade isn't too vibrant and has a muted tone with not-so-great staying power, you can use Modest as a base and dab Red Brick on the inner part of your lips, or just blend them together for a full lip look. Both ways look beautiful! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSep 10, 2019
The color is truly beautiful. It has a slight white tint which might be hit or miss for some, but I find it lovely. The yogurt effect is way too intense, and it's extremely drying. Even exfoliating doesn't seem to help with the dead skin cells... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 23, 2019
It would work well when used together with a lip balm. The color is truly satisfying. It's so incredibly drying that if you apply it without lip balm, it makes even non-existent dead skin cells visible. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinJan 23, 2019
The color is a dried rose shade, which would be great as an MLBB (My Lips But Better) option. Being in the brown-red family, it's a color that pairs beautifully with autumn and winter looks. As it's a matte lipstick, over time it tends to accentuate dead skin cells and feels quite drying on the lips. It pairs well with a matte brown eyeshadow and mascara to emphasize the lashes. Also, try creating a gradient effect with MAC's Chili lipstick for a stunning look! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 1, 2018
It applies smoothly and feels substantial, yet looks as natural as my own lips. The staying power is quite good, and it's perfect for warm skin tones. Being matte, it can be a bit drying and may emphasize dead skin cells. There's also some slight transfer. It blends naturally, making it easy to use as a base. You can apply it precisely with a cotton swab. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 28, 2017
I only use Espoir lipsticks. Other lipsticks tend to cause blisters, but Espoir is the only one that works well for me. While individual experiences may vary, I've been using several tubes of it for over a few years. Since it's a lipstick, it tends to be quite drying, causing flaky skin to stand out. Applying a thin layer of petroleum jelly before putting on the lipstick can help reduce the appearance of flaky skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinOct 27, 2017
Must-have item~~~ Warm-toned folks, buy it twice! The color changes your face from crisis to ambiance. It does get a bit dry 😢 But if you apply a lip primer or a bit of Vaseline, it'll be fine! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinAug 3, 2017
The unique color brightens up my autumnal warm-toned skin! It emphasizes flaky skin too much and feels dry. The color is stuffy for summer use. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 28, 2017
The color is subtle and MLBB, but not a common shade. It was a color that went well with my warm-toned complexion as a daily wear. I would consider repurchasing it. Since it has a matte finish, it does feel a bit drying. While drying, it does seem to have good staying power. Applying lip balm beforehand can help prevent dryness. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 24, 2017
If it's a really nice autumn mute, you should buy it. And the color is similar to Jane's, but it's cheaper. But it's too dry, really too dry. It can't be this dry.
