I'm currently using Modist and the color is absolutely gorgeous. Being a matte formula, there's an understandable difference in texture depending on whether I exfoliate or not. This is something I can accept. However... when it comes to touch-ups or reapplication, layering more product on top makes it clump unattractively and apply unevenly. You absolutely have to remove everything and start over. This aspect is really disappointing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 21, 2018
I managed to buy this online for about 15,000 won, which is cheaper than the regular price. The color is absolutely satisfying! I love muted shades, so this was my first matte lipstick purchase. Even though I have cool-toned skin, people kept asking what lipstick I was wearing when I went out (so heartwarming). It was a game-changer for someone like me who only used moisturizing or creamy formulas. When applied to well-maintained lips, the texture and color are just gorgeous. It pairs beautifully with matte foundation. The downside is that because it's truly matte, you need to constantly maintain good lip care and apply it when your lips are in top condition for it to look pretty. There's a bit of clumping when you reapply. After some time, the magnetic closure became loose and started rattling. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMar 12, 2017
The orange-brown lipstick I have seems to be the prettiest color. The application is also quite smooth. The downside is that when reapplying, it can clump up and needs to be wiped off and reapplied. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 14, 2017
1. The color is really beautiful. It's a mix of orange, a touch of pink, brown, and just a tiny bit of white. It's such a pretty color that I haven't seen in other lipsticks, so I bought it right away when I saw it. I'm shade 23 and I think I'm a warm-toned autumn. It suits me well. However, when I applied it to my lips, the orange tone faded a lot and the pink stood out more. 2. The color payoff is also very good. It applies opaque and intensely pigmented. Although it's not as slippery as an oil lipstick, it's still quite smooth. 3. The case is matte black with a magnetic closure, so it feels nice to open and close. But when it was rattling around in my pocket like an old cicada magnet, the front part got all messed up before I knew it. So be careful, everyone! 4. As it's a matte lipstick, the staying power is a bit longer than regular lipsticks. I usually stain my lips with a similar-colored tint first, but with this one, it gets too dry if I do that, so I just apply the lipstick directly. But since the color is so pretty, I can't help but use it, though I always have to carry a lip balm with me. 1. It's very drying, extremely drying. I usually like matte products, from tints to other lipsticks, but this one... it's really drying. I realized, 'Ah, so this is what true matte is!' The matte lipsticks I've used before weren't actually matte. 2. Because it's so drying, my lips start peeling, and when I reapply, it cakes up, which is really unpleasant when I try to fix it. (When my lips are smooth, it applies nicely without any clumping.) - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinMay 11, 2016
The dark skin tone suits me well. For dark skin tones, coral or orange shades are often recommended, but I found them to look a bit odd on me - making my skin appear even darker. However, this product has a blend of brown and orange tones, which gives a radiant and not overly heavy look. It's not too dark, so it works well for spring and summer wear. The formula has good adhesion and applies smoothly without feeling too thick. The pigmentation is great, and the wear time is satisfactory as well. The cap and the product body are magnetized, so it closes securely. The packaging feels sturdy. I'm not sure what the scent is, but it smells pleasant when applied. The matte finish makes the product feel a bit dry, without a moisturizing sensation. It accentuates fine lines significantly. I don't use a lip primer or concealer, and over time, the product tends to wear off in an uneven, messy way. While it doesn't cause flaking, it has a tendency to clump, so proper lip care is necessary. Applying a lip balm before using this product helps reduce the matte, drying effect and the accentuation of fine lines. However, the color still tends to wear off quickly. Applying the product vertically rather than horizontally helps minimize the appearance of fine lines a bit.
