I bought this for double cleansing, and it's a water-based formula. It seems to be the best for that purpose. However, I wouldn't recommend it for sensitive or acne-prone skin. As someone with super sensitive skin, I find it a bit too harsh. It feels quite irritating. There's a tingling sensation. Also, it has a strong artificial fragrance. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedFeb 12, 2022
I bought this exfoliating toner and the volume is incredible, so you can use it generously! It's great for soaking cotton pads to use as a daily mask routine. If you apply it following your skin's texture, it seems to effectively dissolve dead skin cells. Due to its large size, the bottle opening is quite wide. It's fine for me since I prefer to soak cotton pads, but those who use it directly from the bottle should be careful. For convenience, try putting a few pads in the container with plenty of toner. Use it as an exfoliating toner morning and night. - jl*****Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsJun 9, 2021
The generous amount is a definite plus. The affordable price is another great advantage. When I used it in my 20s, I loved it for its large size, affordable price, and how well it suited my skin. Remembering that, I decided to try it again, but maybe it's because I'm older now... Right after using it, I break out. Painful pimples, tiny bumps, and on top of that, excessive oiliness. I've never had this reaction to skincare products before, but this one just doesn't agree with my skin anymore. Since I can't give away a product that caused blemishes, I'm thinking of using it on my arms and legs instead. - sk******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 1, 2021
The volume is incredibly generous, making it perfect for everyday use. The price was also remarkably affordable! While the ingredients are better than Byphasse Rose, they're still not exceptional. To be on the safe side, I'm using it on my body rather than my face. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 28, 2021
It's pleasantly moisturizing and the volume for the price is incredible! It worked great as an exfoliating toner. The fragrance is overwhelmingly strong... It's definitely a scent that people will either love or hate, but for me, it wasn't enjoyable at all. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 8, 2021
My own purchase! An exfoliating toner with incredible value that I've used over 10 bottles of! ✅ Enormous volume With so much product, you can use it generously without holding back! Saturate your cotton pad thoroughly - this reduces physical irritation when wiping, and even though I use a lot of toner, it seems to last forever! ✅ Affordable price Less than $10! Incredibly cheap for the volume, but prices vary wildly depending on where you buy... I usually get it for $8-9, but during a Lalavla sale, I stocked up on 3 bottles for just $3.90 each What a steal! ✅ Light texture Perfect for the 7-skin method! It's just like water, with no viscosity at all! So you can layer it on without it feeling heavy or burdensome. This might be why it doesn't cause any blemishes... ✅ Pore care functionality Not many products contain witch hazel, so getting pore care at this price is a huge win ‼️ Concerning ingredients The harmful ingredients listed on Hwahae are a bit worrying. Though there are significantly fewer than in the aloe or rose water from the same line, PEGs... While I haven't had any allergic reactions, it just makes me feel uneasy. ‼️ Lack of hydration It's much drier than the aloe or rose water from the same line. The moisturizing feeling disappears quickly after use. You need to apply cream promptly ‼️ Harsh scent There's a stinging, harsh scent that's hard to describe in words It's not pleasant to smell... ☝️ Using as an exfoliating toner After cleansing, I soak a cotton pad with plenty of toner and wipe it all over my face, neck, inside and outside of my ears to refine skin texture ✌️ Using as a daily morning mask (highly recommended) Soak a 5-layer cotton pad until it's almost dripping, then separate the layers~ After cleansing, place them on your forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin for about 5 minutes! Then finish with your basic skincare routine and do your makeup - it applies so well and leaves your skin plump and hydrated! The difference in my skin on days I do this versus days I don't is remarkable! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 23, 2021
It's great that you can buy this for around $2 (Don't purchase from Hwahae though! It's pricey there!). Perfect for everyday use without worrying about the cost. The scent might be off-putting at first, but you'll get used to it over time. Try using it as part of the 7-skin method or as a skin pack for extra hydration. - my*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 15, 2020
* Beast-like volume at an affordable price! Extreme value for money! * With its water-like thin consistency and gentle formula, it's perfect for toning the skin with a cotton pad after cleansing * Highly recommended as an exfoliating toner! * It has a rose scent which, 'personally', isn't to my taste, which is a bit disappointing * The volume is so large that I might need to divide it into other containers for use - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedSep 19, 2020
I've been consistently buying this when it's on sale at the supermarket and using different scents. Back when the '7-skin method' was trendy, I remember my skin feeling super hydrated when I applied multiple layers. Now I use it after cleansing, soaking a cotton pad to wipe my face. The price and volume are so reasonable that I can use it generously without worry. In my younger days, I experienced blemishes and used expensive skincare, but now I just use whatever works as long as it doesn't cause irritation. I'm seeing a lot of reviews mentioning issues with ingredients and blemishes. As I'm pregnant, I'm worried if it's safe to continue using. I wish the ingredients were gentler. For those with dry skin, it might not provide enough hydration when used as a moisturizer. I use it to wipe my face before applying toner and essence. I also decant it into an empty bottle to use as a body mist after showering and even as a hair mist. When sprayed before blow-drying, it leaves a lovely scent in your hair. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAug 31, 2020
The large size allows for generous use even as an exfoliating toner. The subtle fragrance is pleasant and not overwhelming. Upon first opening, there's no protective seal, so be careful when removing the plastic wrap as it might be a bit damp. Although it's labeled as a '7-skin' product, the hydration is disappointingly low. Even after multiple applications, it's hard to tell if the skin feels more moisturized.
